Just got the E3. Get the power head. It seems solid and well made. With a decent warranty.
I went sebo (E3) over miele due to: cheaper, better warranty, cheaper parts and repair, and sebo does one thing (make vacuums)... suprised theres no sebo dealer nearby, I recommend trying to fine one even if its a drive. Think of SEBO like volkswagen, and MIELE like BMW. the variety of responses here are proof positive of TRY BEFORE BUY I tried miele, sebo uprights, sebo felix, sebo canister. disliked the felix immediately upon trying, despite my mind leaning felix during the online research phase! I'm a total convert from upright to canister (or at least sebos version of it) but you need to assess if you can handle the quirks of a canister. downsides of a canister: 1) one more thing to keep track of (I got used to it fast, I just kick it around or pull it by the hose) 2) harder to store (pending a good solution to this...) 3) heavier to take up the stairs (but easier to actually vacuum said stairs) Upsides of the canister: 1) lighter IN HAND (the weight of the vacuum is supported by the floor, not your hand, in use). 2) cord rewind (wrapping up cords after a upright vacuum session sucks, the SEBO you just unplug and step on the retract button. 3) much easier to do top to bottom detail vacuuming (fans, vents, dusting, cabinets, walls, pictures, shelves, dusting), wand/hose mode reaches many more high places and without tipping over the upright. 4) easier to maneuver the power head. yes you gotta maneuver the canister into position, but once you do you can get that powerhead into alot more difficult to reach places (under beds, couches, rugs, tables). Easier to maneuver the canister than moving furniture. I'm over cordless due to wall to wall carpet, the time limit (good for quick pickups only), and I really dislike the cleaning/washing/emptying of bagless machines (which most cordless are). The whole reason I vacuum is to GET RID of dust, dirt and nastiness... why do I wanna go touching and breathing it later... in concentrated form, bathing in a big ol dust cloud?!
I really like my E3 Sebo.... but my house is half your size, you'd prob want the bigger D4... always get the powerhead (no E2) if you have carpets. Tried them all in store (upright sebos, canister sebos, mieles) for like an hour. I had researched and had thought I was gonna go felix but holding it in hand for killed that idea. I'm a full on convert to canister vacs (i have stairs and like to dust w a vacuum). miele more expensive, and more expensive parts and repair, shorter warranty. I like sebo just does one thing... make vacuums, and they did commercial first, so you are getting a commercial vac w residential trim, not "consumer grade" (I apply the same logic to computer purchases).

Congratulations! I am a SEBO & Miele owner and really love the E3 (what gets used the most). You got one of the very best -period. Heads up on the odours: Nearly any vacuum will start to get odours without a bunch of activated charcoal in the filters... So, if you are not going through bags quickly, do not be surprised if you start to smell odours from the exhaust. Fresh Wave Beads (you can find them on amazon) are a highly recommended buy and well reviewed odour controlling add on. You just dump a cap full into the bag and all is in order. And for the record, I have spoken directly with SEBO and the engineer confirmed that this is an approved method of dealing with exhaust smell. There is no warranty concern etc. as long as you use them as directed. Enjoy! It's pretty funny when you feel excited about a vacuum cleaner, but once you know, you know.
Depends if you want a powered brush for carpet/rugs, c1 very short cord, so c3 or new guard series in miele or k or e series on sebo, e3 has powered head, e2 includes a torbo air powered head for rugs , and e1 just straight suction
yes cannisters are for all surfaces
Upgrade to SEBO E3 and get the wool rug green brush roll for wool, super easy to remove and clean
I would do k3 or e3, personally not a fan of turbo brush on the less expensive units, but the e2 or k2 would suffice on a budget
Sebo is most of my business so that!
Of course she will get conflicting views here. SEBO if you have the money as well worth it if not, go with the Kenny.
Or the only other quality Vacuum is the SEBO you can tell them that you want one of those instead
As a small vacuum business myself, I would be happy to switch it out for you, if you feel better, call them ahead of time. Tell him what happened and you decide to go with the SEBO
They are having issues with their new SEB O and they are upset, these things are very rare, but they do happen
Windsor/Sebo as good as it gets, what is breaking?
During the pandemic I went through five Shark vacuums that cost in excess of $250 each. I have carpeting, tile and linoleum floors. Every one broke in the same way within a month or two of use. I was in contact with their help line constantly and receiving replacement parts via UPS. I finally researched what vacuum was used in the Whitehouse and purchased a Sebo E3 . My nightmare ended and I love the Sebo.
I just got the Sebo E3 based on recommendations in another Reddit thread, while I was contemplating a Miele to replace a 5-year old Dyson that I hate. The Sebo’s removable roller was the deciding factor over the Miele. I used the Sebo E3 for the first time today and found it so much easier to vacuum under the sofa since the arm extends very far and stays low to the ground. And the included parquet attachment did a much better job on my tile floor, fitting under the cabinets. I haven’t vacuumed under the bed yet, but I’m sure it will work great. So far, I’m very happy and looking forward to donating the Dyson.
I recently bought the same one and love it! It’s so much better than my Shark could ever be
Sebo is the only residential vacuum maker that I know of with hospital grade filtration. That's hepa class S, which adds electrostatic filtration. I'd suggest the Sebo E3, which comes with the power head for carpeting. 10 year warranty for Sebo products. Made in Germany. It sucks 120 cubic feet per minute, as much as your typical bathroom fan, which is among the strongest suction. Noise level of 62 decibels, which is among the quietest. Incidentally, Rainbow still makes vacuums, but it's old technology.
To the OP, you are doing great in your selection process, don't stress about it. Also, you don't need to spend all 1200 for this. Among the Sebo and MIele there is no wrong answer, as long as you get a motor driven brush roller head instead of a turbo or air driven one. You didn't mention which type of Miele your wife grew up with, they used to make a corded upright but don't anymore, just the canisters. I'm going to assume that you guys would be fine with a canister vacuum. Both brands make great canister models, I would suggest for Sebo the E3 series, and from MIele Guard S1 Electro. You want the Parquet bare floor tool as well, which the Guard S1 has. If you opt for Sebo, get whichever E3 has both the electric powered brush bar and the bare floor tool. The S1 Electro is currently on Amazon for $759. And the MIele C3 Marin is $1117. If you opt for Sebo, the E3 premium is $1150. The dealer should give you a discount if you ask, offer to buy a box of bags as well. These are all excellent quality vacuums. Hepa filtration. Very quiet operation. Long warranties, though I think the Sebo has the longer warranty. If you opt for used, just make sure you get either a Sebo either E or D series for larger homes, with electric power head and bare floor tool. For Miele, the C2 or C3 series with the power head and bare floor tool. Get one in good condition and you should get 10 years out of a lightly used model. Good luck! Edit: spelling
