"it's so NICE to throw the bag of stinky (I have a golden retriever XD) dog hair into the trash and not have it funking up the whole vacuum, forever."
"I like the bag. ... Our bagless vacuums always made a MESS cloud of dust when trying to empty them in the kitchen. I'd have to go outside, and it would still make a cloud all over me. This was easy, close the lid on the bag, lift it out, toss it in the trash, put a new one in."
"The filter system also seems to be the best around."

"Comes with a ten year warranty, cant beat that. ... Replacement parts available after that if needed"

"the cleaning performance is basically the same. ... it’s every bit as good (arguably better) than a Miele."

This is so true and I wish I would have known this before I bought my SEBO K3. I love my cute little pink canister, but in my 700sqft apartment it’s really a pain to drag around. I got a refurbished Dyson V15 on Black Friday and it’s SO much more convenient. I feel obsessed with vacuuming now lol. I’ll always have my SEBO and it definitely is more powerful, but I’m not sure it’s worth it for a small space with hardwood floors.
Just go with the SEBO you’ll have better. Customer service down the line when air storm is gone.
for budget get the k3 sebo, powered head work better
sebo k3 least expensive good filtering, if you have carpet, or k1 if none, or c1 miele
Depends if you want a powered brush for carpet/rugs, c1 very short cord, so c3 or new guard series in miele or k or e series on sebo, e3 has powered head, e2 includes a torbo air powered head for rugs , and e1 just straight suction
Sebo is most of my business so that!
Of course she will get conflicting views here. SEBO if you have the money as well worth it if not, go with the Kenny.
Or the only other quality Vacuum is the SEBO you can tell them that you want one of those instead
As a small vacuum business myself, I would be happy to switch it out for you, if you feel better, call them ahead of time. Tell him what happened and you decide to go with the SEBO
They are having issues with their new SEB O and they are upset, these things are very rare, but they do happen
Windsor/Sebo as good as it gets, what is breaking?
After so much research and feedback on here, we bought a Sebo K3 and we love it! It’s so easy to use, works incredibly well (oh and we love how much quieter it is than your typical store bought vacuums). We got it for a little over $800 after tax! If you’re going to buy online, there are some good dealer stores and you can find a coupon (I found a 10% off). We got the pastel mint color and just love it. The power head is the same as the more expensive models, but my research indicated the more expensive models didn’t really clean any better, and they had features we didn’t care to have…so we saved the money.
I decided today that I’d give Sebo a try, I’ve owned every brand of high end machine you can buy and this is the last of my purchases. I bought a K3 Premium in red, looking forward to it arriving!
I’ve owned every high end vacuum you can buy, really loving our new Sebo K3 premium
Too bad you didn’t like the Sebo, so far loving my K3 in red. It was a replacement to the Shark Stick vac I’ve been using.
I bought a K3 premium, I’m sure I could have gotten away with straight suction but having the power nozzle makes it really nice to have when I need it. The main reason I got the K3 over the E3 is it’s more compact for smaller spaces and the Hepa Filter was something I really wanted!
I agree, the K3 premium was a great choice for our small space. It’s a bit more compact over the E series and it also offers Hepa Filtration if you’re looking for a bit more cleaner air than the standard filtration of a Sebo. Miele also makes great products also. My suggestion is go to a dealer!
I agree with your Post, I bought a K3 premium for Christmas only because we don’t have that large of a space and wanted something more compact. I love my SEBO.
I got the K3 (the entry level with the electric head) and it's been fantastic. We have 3 cats, 2 kids and a dog and the carpet gets pretty hairy at times and it's been night and day since I got the K3
Gotcha, okay. A few things. 1) Cordless machines don’t have the power to clean a full house well, especially carpets and rugs. They’re really meant for quick pickups and to supplement a proper/more powerful vacuum between deeper cleanings. 2) For those thin washable type rugs, you typically want to avoid high suction and a brush roller because they get damaged easily, like it seems you’ve already experienced. So ideally you want a machine with variable suction and that lets you turn a brush roller on/off + change the floor heads depending on what you’re vacuuming. 3) I think a canister vacuum is definitely going to be less strenuous to use vs an upright. If you’re not used to that form factor though it might be worth demo’ing one before buying anything just to make sure it’s the right fit? It might take some getting used to if you’ve always used uprights and stick vacs. A Sebo K3 or a Miele C1 Cat & Dog might be the move here. Bagged canister, powerful variable suction machines that have electric power heads with brush roll on/off. You can change the floor head out so if you want use a suction only tool downstairs and the power head upstairs to really deep clean your wall to wall carpet you can do that. The Sebo has a better warranty (10yr motor/non wear parts, 7 yr labor) and they offer a soft brush roll accessory (green bristles) made for more delicate carpeting in case whenever suction only won’t do the job on those thin rugs. There’s a 25% off deal at one online dealer floating around the sub that would get those machines within budget for you. If you have local Sebo and Miele dealers they have flexibility to offer discounts below MSRP as well. If you can get a 25% off deal then you nought have a look at Sebo’s E3 canister as well as it has some useful added features over the K3, but they do clean about the same. For lower budget options there are canister models from Kenmore that have similar features to the Mieles and Sebo’s in my opinion they’re more cumbersome to use and durability/repairability isn’t nearly as good.
Check out the Kenmore bagged canister vacs. The 600 series pet pro and the Elite series should work for your budget. But they are not BIFL by a long shot. r/VacuumCleaners is a good resource sub for this topic. Most people there will recommend Miele and Sebo vacuums and for good reason. They are easily repairable and with good upkeep will last you 20+ years. But the models that are suitable for proper carpet cleaning ie they have a powered brush head like the Kenmores I recommended, are out of your price range. If you increase your budget up to $550-850 range you’ll have better options that are built to last. Sebo Dart and Felix uprights and Sebo K3 and E3 canister models are ones to look at. I like Sebo over Miele because they have a 10 year warranty (10 yr motor/non wear parts, 7 year labor). And the motors are rated for 2000 working hours compared to Miele which is 1000 hours. You could also go to your local Sebo and Miele dealers and see if they have floor/demo or refurb units available for cheaper. Or check Facebook Marketplace but that more of a roll of the dice.
Definitely seek out and visit a Sebo/Miele dealer so they can demo all your options. You will likely get a discount and/or additional goodies thrown in (bags, filters, attachments). Whether it's Sebo or Miele, the lower cost units are suction only and won't clean your bedroom carpets effectively. Make sure your choice has a power nozzle (Sebo E3, K3, D4 or Miele C3 cat and dog). Miele just rolled out their replacement for the C3, called the Guard series. Unfortunately, there are only 2 models with the power nozzle, so if you are offered the newest model make sure it isn't suction only. Oddly, the new Miele Guard Cat and Dog does not include a power nozzle option! There are clearance deals on the previous generation Miele's, I'd go that way over the new/full markup models as these machines are excellent (Marin and the white Cat and Dog C3s are my favorites).
Ideally, you have a vacuum retailer near you so you can test drive these and get a good deal; Miele C3, these are being closed out and remaining stock is marked down. The Kona, Cat & Dog, Marin, and Homecare E+ are the C3s to look for. A Miele C1 Cat and Dog is also a solid choice. There are 2 brand new L1 Guard vacuums from Miele; the L1 (blue) and L1 Electro (titanium). All of these models but the Marin use the same SEB 228 power nozzle. The Marin gets a lower profile SEB 236 with an LED light. Only dealers can sell the Homecare and Electro models, these have 5 year warranty’s vs standard 3 year. Discounts for Black Friday are @20% for remaining C3s, at least 15% everything else. For Sebo, the E3 and K3 are excellent vacuums to also consider. German made like Miele, 10 year warranty’s if purchased from a dealer, and very reliable.
I'm recommending 3 higher end, bagged, corded vacuums with power nozzles to address your area rugs. The first is the upright Sebo Felix. The power head is interchangeable with the premium parquet for bare floors. The onboard hose will address most of your above the floor cleaning and it includes a crevice tool and dusting brush. If you can find a Meile C3 Kona, Marin, or Cat & Dog that is discounted grab any of these canister models. Last either a Sebo E3 or K3 depending what might still be on sale.
can’t personally speak to the miele but the sebo power head is amazing and if you’re mostly working with carpet, that would be my recommendation between the two. can you try them both out a vacuum store to decide between the two? i also find the sebo to be a nice weight and very mobile.
I just bought a K3 yesterday and love it.
Get a Sebo k3. Comes with a ten year warranty, cant beat that. Replacement parts available after that if needed, and the roller comes out super easy for cleaning that hair. The filter system also seems to be the best around. I have one and love it so much ill be gifting another to my mom
