"it's so NICE to throw the bag of stinky (I have a golden retriever XD) dog hair into the trash and not have it funking up the whole vacuum, forever."

I got the Sebo Balance A1, blue version. For stone floors occasional rugs, 2 dogs 1 cat, 1 keen gardener. Very light but solid, easy to use. This is the UK link https://sebo.co.uk/sebo-balance-a1-blue.html The A1 is Magenta, Blue or Grey. Blue is the middle price and as far as I can see has the same accessories as Grey but Grey has a different stand. Magenta has fewer accessories.
That might do for you. I got a similar vac, a Titan fron Screwfix and have been very pleased with it. It's very noisy, as it's shop and not domestic. I bought it for dealing with various bits of dust and rubbleand ash, kept it as a general downstairs vac for floors that are brick and stone with rugs. Upstairs we have carpet and pets and I have a Sebo, but that's partly because I'm not prepared to lug the Titan up and down stairs, I need a vac on each floor. I've only used it once as a wet vac but it was very effective at that too. https://www.screwfix.com/p/titan-ttb774vac-1300w-16ltr-wet-dry-vacuum-220-240v/826kh
Wow So impressive. As I always say. Must be magic, such a rubbish company, crappy vacuums with little to no suction yet managed to stay on the market for over 30 years, sells vacuums in over 80 countries all over the world with customers coming back.. absolutely magical. Should probably give some marketing tips to Sebo then shouldn’t they But never mind, sebos got their cordless now. The best cordless vacuum on the market 👌
My Miele Duoflex is great. Henry Quick is a great budget pick, and Sebo Balance is built really well
The Gtech Airram is great but has no tools. Otherwise, Henry Quick or Sebo Balance A1.
Everybody talks crap about Shark, but the newer models are nice. I had an older one that I disliked. But since I bought a cordless one for $75 on sale, I rarely use my Sebo. It’s convenient and gets the job done. The canister is bulky and a pain to lug around. Cheaper vacs like Shark don’t have good warranties nor do they last forever, but they work well enough and the convenience of cordless is just so nice.
I would check out the Sebo Balance A1. They’re lightweight, have good suction, and you can pull the brush roll out to clean the hair off.
It comes down to wanting something that is built to last, easy to maintain and repair, and buying a brand that stands behind their product. When you buy a Sebo from an authorized dealer, it comes with a 10 year warranty. You can take it to any Sebo dealer and they’ll fix it for free. You don’t get that at a $150 price point. It’s not like 30 years ago when most products were BIFL. If you want something that lasts and has a good warranty, it costs more. If you don’t care if it lasts and you don’t mind replacing it often, spend $150. It’s that simple.
Get a Sebo, the brushroll snaps out with the push of a button. It makes it super easy to clean hair off it. Plus they come with a 10 year warranty if you buy from an authorized dealer.
Wait a few months, then get the new SEBO Balance A1. Just trialing one right now, and its going to be a hot item when they hit the stores... especially the price.
Miele DuoFlex is the most solid option. Riccar R65 is excellent value. Sebo Balance A1 is a great lightweight option. All are serviceable.
Sebo Balance A1 if you want a battery operated vacuum. It's very light, and has a light. I wouldn't suggest bashing it around like you maybe could with a plug in, but it's made to be serviced, and parts are easy to get. Miele Guard L1 AllFloor if you want plug in. There's no light because there's no powerhead, but if you have mostly hardfloor, you wouldn't need a powerhead on a vacuum like that - the airflow is top notch. Avoid Dyson, Shark, Bissel, Hoover if you want something built well. They use cheap plastics, disposable design, limited replacement parts.... just throw away items. Plug in means more power, less maintenance (bagged), and longer lasting unit. Battery means more convenience, but is typically bagless so more emptying. Plug in is not "heavier". The L1 has less weight in your wrist than any battery stick vacuum. It also moves ridiculously well. It will move better than any canister vacuum you've previously owned (if you have owned one before). Sebo and Miele make serviceable, well built vacuums.
Watch for how the vacuum exhausts if you’re getting a new one. The exhaust should be straight up, away from the floor. Not blowing right out the back or side against the floor, which blows the dust up in the air. Also, the hepa rating is not enough. There’s multiple levels of hepa, and just because a vacuum says it’s hepa, it doesn’t mean it’s an actual sealed system. I’ve tested plenty of “hepa” vacuums, just to find out they aren’t really hepa. Miele’s C3 / Guard Series are properly sealed vacuums. Add on an H13 hepa filter, and you truly have the best of the best. Sebo is another fantastic option - I’m very allergic to dust and it works awesome for myself. The airbelt even disperses the exhaust, so it helps the dust in the air settle, and doesn’t disrupt the dust on the floor. Anyone, and I will state this firmly, that says anything against Miele or Sebo as far as filtration, truly has not a clue what they are talking about, respectfully. Brands like Kenmore, Shark, Dyson, have no business being in the same conversation when it comes to filtration - they are without question worse. Edit: I will also add on, Miele and Sebo are Quiet vacuums.
I am on the opposite end of the argument, although its somewhat different. I had a Tyneco Stick Vaccum that gave you less than ten minutes vacuum time. If the vac needed more suction, I could hit a button to increas3 the power but it would also cut down my batt charge. I did this for three years. I tried to get replacement batts but Tyneco moved on to a different model and now the newer battery would new a charger to go with it. Third party batt suppliers were awful and never fit. I went with the Kenmore 600 and while it does have some cons-poor fit and finish, it rolls well, has good power pull and suction. I ran that f*cker all day, wooden floors, low pile rugs, baseboards and used the extention to knock out ceiling moldings. I got it brand new/used on Amazon Warehouse for 200.00 and feel very good about the purchase. I used the money I saved to buy additional bags and a wider floor attactment. Although I love the sky blue Sebo, I cant justify the cost in this timeline, but ..I speak for myself only. I had a crappy vac for three years and understand the frustration.
Miele and Sebo are the best for typical household vacuums, but if you don’t mind the noice you can also consider a shop vac. They are well respected on the construction vacuum market.
Sebo is most of my business so that!
Of course she will get conflicting views here. SEBO if you have the money as well worth it if not, go with the Kenny.
Or the only other quality Vacuum is the SEBO you can tell them that you want one of those instead
As a small vacuum business myself, I would be happy to switch it out for you, if you feel better, call them ahead of time. Tell him what happened and you decide to go with the SEBO
They are having issues with their new SEB O and they are upset, these things are very rare, but they do happen
Windsor/Sebo as good as it gets, what is breaking?
