I have a shark pet canister bag less vac and it’s amazing. Power head never clogs and we have 3 long haired people in the house. The Miele c1 is also good, but we needed that power head.

I totally get the satisfaction of seeing the dust bin fill up — there’s something weirdly motivating about it. And honestly, I’m not sure why Shark gets so much hate here. I’ve had a Shark Pet for about three years now and it’s still going strong. It is kind of a pain to empty and I sometimes wish I’d gone bagged,, but if you prefer bagless, it’s actually been a solid option for me. If you want to compare bagless canisters side by side, there’s a [vacuum comparison sheet](https://www.reddit.com/user/lacking_foyer48/comments/1lj76h3/vacuum_cleaners_compared_comprehensive_datasheet/) another Redditor put together that covers all the different styles, specs, and features. Makes it a lot easier to see what you’re really getting for your budget.

I have owned 2 Shark's now, the first one was an upright, and was quite good, but at 4 years and 11 months the hose split, and (thanks to the 5 year warranty) the retailer ended up giving a credit as Shark couldn't repair it or get parts (bit of a red flag) We then stuck with the stick vac for a while until a couple of years ago when we got another Shark, a bagless barrel vac with powered brush. It. Is. TERRIBLE. Not only does it not provide anywhere near enough suction, the rollers or hose clog at the drop of a hat, and the emptying system is sure to leave more dust on the floor than you can get off it with this vacuum. About a week ago, sick of going over and over the carpet, I finally dragged the cheapo $200 Karcher T 7/1 I use for car detailing in from the shed. With just the standard suction head (no brush at all), it managed to get dog and cat hair off the carpet that I thought was ingrained in it it had been there so long. It serioulsy looked like I had had the carpet steam cleaned. So, to answer your question, the best Shark to get is another brand. And on that note, does anyone have any good recommendations? Or should I just buy another Karcher for the house and have 2 the same... only downside I find is the 3 part plastic pipe feels a bit flimsy (Don't need this for cars)

Corded Shark anti hair wrap with pet tool, don’t bother with a cordless. £170 direct from Shark with a free car tool kit.

I vacuum for someone who has 3 shorthair dogs, 1 long hair dog and one that sheds year round. 4 of these dogs are huge and one is a shitzu. I use their Shark Extreme or something like that. It's bagless and has a big cup. I think it cost them 2 to 300 dollars. The last one they had I used for over a year before it said, "enough", and died. So a shark bagless for that amount. It has really good suction when the cup isn't full.

Yeh best one I have found for pets especially cat hair, has to be the pet friendly Shark. Had mine for 5 years no which is the longest I have owned a vacuum cleaner, they normally burn out within 2 yrs but the Shark has proven to be the best

Shark every time. I’ve had Henry and I can’t stand him (they’re good but I don’t personally like them and they’re heavy) I am on my second shark and I love it, light weight and picks up the dog hair (we have the pet one) even my mum who has had countless vacuum makes swears by shark now

We have bought the Shark pet hair (the larger one). I had the use of Henry whilst waiting - unfortunately it didn’t suit me as I kept banging it on the skirtings and corners. The Shark (with the very long) cord is absolutely brilliant - as we have 2 dogs. The suction is so strong, it’s like a workout for your arm - however, you can decrease the suction with an easy button. Prior to this we had the Shark cordless one - which was great but not nearly as powerful!

Agree. My Shark pet-friendly corded vacuum beautifully handles both my cats (one with med/long hair), as well as my own very long hair. I’ve had it ~4yrs. (Meanwhile my brother does nothing but complain about his Dyson pet.)

Get Henry! I bought a shark when my Henry died after 10 years and the little leds are cool on the shark to see all the dust it isn’t picking up! I even got the pet version and I will be buying Henry at Black Friday. I I’ll bought the shark in January but I hate it.
