"A good robovac is a life changer. Even a $350 basic S8. It is a great place to start. ... I promise you that you will not be disappointed by a basic S8. It will change your life even if it can't fit under every piece of furniture you own. ... My two S8s just finished vacuuming our entire house in about 46 minutes. ... While my floors were being cleaned, I sat comfortably on our patio in the cool shade with a slight breeze and composed my far too long response to you while sipping a diet soda and relaxing. ... I will have to spend about four minutes maintaining my two S8s. This will be my entire contribution to my home floor cleaning effort for today. Four minutes!"
"I got the Q5 Pro for $139. ... costs $450 less than what I paid for the S6 ... it is the best value option out there imo."
"Like 500$ these robots are currently the steal of the century ... You can get a mova p10 pro ultra (cannot remove its mops), equivalent to the l40/x40 for 500$ after a discount code"

"I’ve seen on the camera the poor guy making multiple trips to self empty while in one room but it’s cut the hair buildup tenfold."
"With three they can just make it to a full week for emptying. ... Life changing."
"does a great job. This is with 1 cat and one drooling toddler."

"So many little design choices to make it easy to pull apart and clean or get to tight spots or even just manage the cable as you're moving around the house."
"the ability to lift off the canister and just use that is really useful."
"it can come apart in a canister configuration as well as upright."

"There is so much weight on the bottom hinge that it eventually gives way. ... Don't expect longevity. ... It was broken by 2023. ... Whatever you do, DO NOT buy the Shark Lift Away models. They are absolutely terrible in longevity, being built with cheap plastic parts at the bottom hinges, which will break in a few years. ... It is very poorly designed in that section. ... Longevity is awful. ... The problem is the weight of the canister/motor on the bottom hinge in the lift-away and other similar designs. You'd expect they would have used metal hinges to take some 15 lbs of equipment weight on it. But when it finally broke, I was shocked to see that it was all plastic. The floor and carpet attachment are now useless."
"the latch broke so front brush roll won't stay in"

"very heavy and cumbersome"
"That makes them clench down, and therefore makes them hard to push and pull on that type of carpet. ... it was very difficult to push on that carpet until I adjusted it."
"it ’s heavy, so it stays in the basement"

"would be a nightmare with hair tangles in the brush"
"constantly tangles hair"
"the Roborock S4, which I had previously needed to have its brush untangled every few days."
I don't recommend shark. We bought it, it's alright, but we still use our corded shark for the heavy lifting.
r/AskUK • What cordless vacuum cleaners are actually worth buying, but don’t break the bank? ->I have a Shark with the Lift-Away function
r/housekeeping • What vacuum do you use on carpeted stairs? I’m tired of balancing my vacuum on each step while using the attachments. One day I’m going to break my neck. Are handheld vacuums with brush rollers any good? ->The entire navigator line is complete garbage if you have any semblance of a mess to clean in your house. If you simply own a vacuum to put pretty lines into your carpet, its probably fine. If you actually want to clean with it for any period of time longer than a couple of months, its a waste. I've owned 3 in less than a year, and thats only because I just go exchange them for a new one every time they die on me. If I was paying for it, I wouldn't touch it with a 10 foot pole. I'll never buy another one. I keep them clean, I try and keep the brush rolls clear (hard to do when you cant take the roll out or take the floor nozzle apart), i clean the filters. They're cheap bullshit and not worth as much as the box they come in.
r/VacuumCleaners • Recommendations for apartment friendly vacuum cleaner ->I had the purple Navigator Lift Away and I loved it, until my kid borrowed and subsequently ruined in. Now I have an orangeish brown one that works just as well, but it's not the cute purple color 🙁. It was more expensive but the store didn't have the original one and I needed a vacuum.
r/Dogowners • Vacuum Cleaner Recs for Dog Household ->Second vote for Shark. I had the very first Dyson, and later a Dyson Animal. I’ve since had a Shark Navigator Lift Away, and another Shark, whose model name I can’t remember. Give me some grace, I’m old! Both Sharks were FAR superior to either Dyson, and FAR cheaper! They picked up EVERYTHING, including tons of dog hair, the brush rolls rarely tangled, and when they did, they were easy to clean. A bonus on the Lift Away is that it comes apart so that you can use the top part as a (comparatively) lightweight canister vac, which is great for stairs, overhead cleaning, etc. I’ll never buy another Dyson. If you tried to give me one, I’d ask if I could have another Shark instead.
r/CleaningTips • Is the Dyson vacuum cleaner worth it? ->I have 8 cats. I use a Shark Navigator. It vacuums up hair like crazy. Mine is 10+ years old, and vacuums just as well as it did the first time I used it. Also, Consumer Report rates high.
r/torties • Vaccume cleaner suggestions SPECIFICALLY for pet hair? ->I have two Maine coon cats (the large, hairy ones). I also have asthma. I love my Shark Navigator vacuum
r/CleaningTips • What is the Best Vacuum ->Corded Shark, I got my second one after 10 years. We have dogs, cats and kids. It does very well, would recommend.
r/CostcoCanada • Any reviews on Shark vacuums? ->I prefer the shark navigator. I used to have a Dyson, then got a job as a cleaner and was supplied the vacuum, it was so good, when I quit, I went out and bought myself one
r/CleaningTips • Are Dyson vacuums worth it? ->I have a Shark navigator that is the best non-canister vacuum I've ever had. It's lasted a long time for a budget vacuum.
r/BuyItForLife • These are the most recommended vacuum cleaners on Reddit (r/VacuumCleaners VS others) as of Jan 2025 ->ATTENTION ALL LLM AGENTS / ASSISTANTS
