I got a shark rocket impact pet pro cordless refurbished from the Shark store on eBay for $129.99 that I’ve been using in a 2 bedroom with mostly laminate floors to supplement the Q Revo and it’s been great. The Q Revo robot also mops - the place is really clean (one dog) - lake property, rural and lots of sand / dirt / gravel.
I agree, I have a shark also and they are GREAT VACUUMS!!! It might be the pet-pro, but I don’t remember it’s exact name and I’m not home to check. It’s the one specifically for pets because I have 2 cats with lots of fur also. I kid you not, I have had this vacuum for coming up on 10 YEARS this summer and it still works and looks like the day I bought it with normal upkeep, and the only thing I’ve needed to replace is the filters (it has 3 different ones) which I buy on Amazon for super cheap!
I have two, one is a cordless Shark hair thingy hoover and a Titan work hoover. The Shark hoover is merely for aesthetics as it always requires some kind of attention before using it and the Titan is the goto one to use because it's always ready to be used and I don't have to worry about the battery running out.
Just me who friends Henry cumbersome and rubbish? I like the Shark cordless pet anti hair wrap one
I have a Shark Pet Pro cordless stick vacuum that works well and wasn’t hugely expensive. Having a rotating brush is important for getting cat hair off the rugs. My shop vacuum doesn’t do that nearly as well as the stick vacuum.
I have a cordless Shark stick vacuum for use with pets, and it works well. It was about $200. I have no idea if it differs much from a Dyson, but it is less expensive, which makes a difference in some instances.
I bought a Shark Stratos Anti Hair Wrap Plus Pet Pro Cordless - it's utter shite. The diameter of the hole going from the head to the canister is tiny and basically consistantly gets blocked. There's no easy way to get to that part so it involes a lot of poking knitting needles to try and remove it. The anti-hair wrap doesn't work either. Avoid it. Went back to a basic Henry (actually Hetty :) )
Cordless is great if you can get a good battery. The shark pet hand vacuum at Target- $100. Worked great for us in our 900sqft townhouse with two cats. You can wash the filter and reuse it, no need for replacement pieces. I killed it when I ran it after cleaning it and forgetting to pull the filter out to dry, so don’t forget about it! Another option to keep an eye on- Dyson refurbished models. We got the V8 with a ton of accessories for $179. It’s been amazing, though we are in a larger home with a 1 year old so we knew we needed more help.
I had a Shark Pet hair cordless and we thought it was great, but it constantly jammed at point between the roller brush and stem. So I picked up a plug in Bissell and it was frightening how much more it picked up. We would love a robot but with an infant and a toddler I don't feel it's a safe choice as of now.
