i believe it's a slightly different model that doesnt have the dual head.
I just did a bunch of research on this. The standard Shark Powerdetect Clean & Empty is model IP3251. The costco version is model IP3225 which has a different head and no odor neutralizer. i had a henry, then upgraded to a shark, and I CANNOT believe i ever spent money on a henry. not even in the same league. henry was just gently ceressing the hair and dirt instead of sucking it up by comparison
I'd say that's actually my main complaint about my Shark. I've considered googly eyes at least but idk
it was definitely not broken, just useless on carpet. didn't touch the layers of dog hair at all. It was fine on hardwood, but the head needed cleaned a lot because hair (dog and human) got stuck. the shark is the flagship, with this fancy roller that isn't even a brush so hair doesn't get stuck to it at all, and after i used it the carpet basically changed colour because it picked up all the hair straight away. it's quieter, it has LEDs which i didn't even know i needed. just 10/10 hoovering experience by comparison. i literally don't know what people praising henry are smoking
yes! I'm very pleased with it and how it handles dog hair particularly
hard disagree. I bought one thinking it has to be good because it's everywhere, and i cannot believe how poorly it performs.
corded shark - absolutely phenomenal 10/10 cordless vax - fine? nothing heavy duty though Henry - a piece of shit. Had to buy like 4 replacement heads in the space of 2 years, and i just assumed carpets could never be totally clean. I upgraded to the shark and I could not believe the amount of dust and hair that it was able to suck up that i thought was just a permanent feature of the carpet now.
If you’re still interested in bagless, you could get a shark corded vertex, last i checked they were 250 dollars on amazon. The corded powerdetect is their latest model of the same configuration and is 350 i believe. Amazing power, and it has a duoclean brushhead that works perfect on both carpet and tile (this way you don’t need to follow that silly flowchart). Vacuum wars youtube channel has great things to say about them.
I have an earlier version of the Shark PowerDetect (the corded Vertex). It’s an awesome vacuum, the vacuum wars youtube channel even has great things about it. That being said, it’s bagless, and most people who buy bagless vacuums never clean their filters properly. When they don’t, the vacuums break, and then people think it’s the brand that’s the problem…
Shark. The one that’s for pets with two roller. It’s a beast. I have a golden retriever, a lab mix and a cat. I brush everybody every day but still my vacuum fills the huge canister every other day!
I'd go for the dual head, but I didn't want the auto empty canister because I didn't have a good place to keep it.
I have no idea how the brush roll does on hard floors by itself. I would do some research on that. I bought a refurbished powerdetect with the duo head on Ebay for $180, and I am verry happy with it. I really don't know how much the soft roll helps on hard floors, but I didn't want the auto empty because I don't have a good place for it.
I have the base PowerDetect (without the self empty), and I like it. It folds up nice and small so storing it is easy. I recommend it as well.
I have a Shark PowerDetect and like it for the most part. I just wish the accessories were better, but the cleaning power of the duo clean head is good.
Mattresses hide way more dust than folks think. Before I run anything specialized, I grab the Shark PowerDetect Cordless Stick Vacuum since it switches into a small hand unit. That makes it simple to hit seams and edges without dragging stuff around.
I’ve been there with weak suction frustration. I remember using Shark PowerDetect Cordless Stick Vacuum once and noticed it adjusts power on its own when hitting thicker debris. I don’t have to redo passes as much, which helps my patience.
Depends on what you need, carpets, pets, or all-around use. I tried a bunch, but the Shark PowerDetect Cordless Stick Vacuum stood out because it handles both hard floors and rugs without needing to change heads. That made cleaning feel more seamless, especially when bouncing between tile kitchens and carpeted bedrooms in one go.
Glad it’s working well for you. On light days, I swap to the Shark PowerDetect Cordless Stick Vacuum since it jumps between floors without changing parts. Nice when I just want a fast pass.
Long hair jams a lot of vacs. I’ve managed it better with the Shark PowerDetect Cordless Stick Vacuum because the wand bends so I can reach under beds where the hair clumps hide.
Cordless helps a lot in small spaces. I use the Shark PowerDetect Cordless Stick Vacuum because it’s light and handles pet hair well. Plus, it empties itself at the dock so cleanup’s quick.
GSD hair gets everywhere fast. I read about Shark PowerDetect Cordless Stick Vacuum and liked that it handles rugs and hard floors without swapping heads. Makes daily passes quicker when hair piles up overnight.
