I have an older version of the [Shark Duo cordless](https://www.sharkninja.com/shark-powerdetect-cordless-stick-vacuum/IP1251.html) and it is outstanding for both carpet and hard floors. I've had it at least 5-6 years now. The Duo brush system requires cleaning fairly regularly but outside of that, awesome cordless vacuum.
r/BuyItForLife • Best Dyson Cordless Vacuum? ->Cries in Shark vacuum with a vacuum pipe that continuously gets clogged from *checks notes* dust
r/BuyItForLife • I analyzed the 25 most recommended vacuum cleaners on reddit ->I have the Detect, which is cordless
r/BuyItForLife • I analyzed the 25 most recommended vacuum cleaners on reddit ->With pets, suction power and easy cleanup matter most. I use a Shark PowerDetect Cordless Stick Vacuum, and it’s been good at catching fur while keeping allergens contained inside its sealed filter. I just do a quick run every evening and it keeps the pet hair from piling up on rugs and around the couch.
r/newzealand • Best stick vacuum for pet hair ->I was comparing Dyson models too, but I ended up trying the Shark PowerDetect Cordless Stick Vacuum and stuck with it. The part I liked most is the MultiFLEX wand that bends mid-way so I can reach under the couch without crawling around. It feels sturdier than I expected for something that flexible.
r/BuyItForLife • Best Dyson Cordless Vacuum? ->For apartments, something versatile is key. I’ve had the Shark PowerDetect Cordless Stick Vacuum and it’s been perfect for that kind of setup. It handles hard floors and rugs without swapping attachments, which makes cleaning fast when you don’t have space for a bunch of accessories.
r/VacuumCleaners • What is the best cordless vacuum cleaner for an insane amount of dog hair? ->Yep, terrible. Lasted a year and was utterly useless in the end. Replaced with a Shark Power Detect and going well so far, but that battery goes flat too quickly so I need to get another to alternate
r/VacuumCleaners • is Shark Power Detect Cordless good? ->I’ve got it and I know this sub hates shark but honestly I love it, idk if you’re looking at the self emptying one but if you are it’s amazing and makes it always ready to go, empty bin and charged but I’m also impressed with the battery and power. Most of the time I use it in the auto mode but sometimes I use it all in boost and it still lasts and gets everything out the carpet. I can usually do my whole house on one charge and that’s enough for me. Weird quirk about it and I’m not sure if its the tool or a weird configuration with the power modes but using the “pet tool” on the stairs makes it drain power really quick, like 40% for 14 stairs. The only other thing is that it requires a bit more maintenance than usual but that’s just rinsing the filters, in my opinion I say that’s fine, literally just rinse it and let it dry a day I know I’m horrible at explaining stuff but for a 2 story house with a mix of hard flooring and carpet it works just fine and safe to say it is very convenient to not lug around a heavy unit with a cable that gets in the way
r/VacuumCleaners • is Shark Power Detect Cordless good? ->I'd go for the dual head, but I didn't want the auto empty canister because I didn't have a good place to keep it.
r/VacuumCleaners • Buy my vacuum from Costco or Shark? ->I have no idea how the brush roll does on hard floors by itself. I would do some research on that. I bought a refurbished powerdetect with the duo head on Ebay for $180, and I am verry happy with it. I really don't know how much the soft roll helps on hard floors, but I didn't want the auto empty because I don't have a good place for it.
r/VacuumCleaners • Buy my vacuum from Costco or Shark? ->I have the base PowerDetect (without the self empty), and I like it. It folds up nice and small so storing it is easy. I recommend it as well.
r/VacuumCleaners • Best cordless for pet hair? ->I have a Shark PowerDetect and like it for the most part. I just wish the accessories were better, but the cleaning power of the duo clean head is good.
r/VacuumCleaners • Miele, Shark, Vax, Bosch? Looking for cordless under £300 ->It really depends on the price you can get each one for. I just picked up a refurbished PowerDetect cordless for $180 with a 2 year warranty. I also picked up a Narwal s20 recently as well. Combined, these two items are half the price of the V15s.
r/VacuumCleaners • is Shark Power Detect Cordless good? ->Out of those two, I'd go with the Shark Powerdetect. I just got one and I like it so far. Spare parts can be found for Shark vacuums, and prices drop for the replacement parts the longer the vacuum has been on the market. I don't have any flex in the hinge either. The hinge makes the vacuum fold up really small for easy storage, and it makes it really easy to vacuum under things. The other vacuum seems to be a generic brand so who knows how easily you will get support for it or if you can buy replacement parts when needed.
r/VacuumCleaners • Ask Advice:Should the cordless vacuum cleaner choose the foldable tube or the retractable tube, which is better? ->Also folds up nice and small for easy storage.
r/VacuumCleaners • Ask Advice:Should the cordless vacuum cleaner choose the foldable tube or the retractable tube, which is better? ->Avoid Shark Power detect at all cost - it does a terrible job on the carpets, not easy to move & keeps getting stuck, tried even with the eco mode, it will not work on carpets, called the customer service & the answer i got was that my carpets were not compatible with the vacuum & they can not do anything about it, so now it sits in the garage (500+$ junk)
r/VacuumCleaners • is Shark Power Detect Cordless good? ->Ive used my shark maybe 5 times... There's a magnet for self empty... gets stuck open by metal bits. There seems to be a clog behind the rollers... EVERYTIME I use it. This was supposed to be easier because it weighed less. I'm very disappointed.
r/VacuumCleaners • is Shark Power Detect Cordless good? ->lol at the photo, we have a shark cordless the empty’s when you hang it up detect & clean. It’s done well with my 2 bunnies
r/Rabbits • (Europe) Best cordless vacuum cleaner for 4 rabbits? ->With no stairs and carpet to think about, corded may be better as you can’t match the power on carpet and you don’t have to worry about dragging it up and down stairs. I highly recommend Miele as a brand, mine is prehistoric and still going strong, similar levels of inconvenience as a Henry. However for me, it’s such a pain in the arse to get it out that 90% of the time I use my folding rechargeable Shark and absolutely love it. I highly recommend shopping second hand, particularly if going for cordless as there’s no battery degradation to worry about, though I inherited my Shark second hand and it’s still stellar. If you’re worried about faults, Shark do say they have a five year guarantee and buying on credit card will give you Section 75 protection on the off chance they don’t honour it. Shark also have 4.2% cashback on TopCashback right now as a potential extra little saving.
r/UKFrugal • Decent, inexpensive vacuum cleaner needed. ->Top contenders: Henry Quick, Miele Duoflex or Triflex, Samsung Jet Bespoke AI, 85 or 75. LG A9 Cord Zero, Shark PowerDetect, Shark Vertex Pro. The Henry, Samsung Bespoke AI and Cord Zero A9 all feature a bagged mechanism of some kind which make them hygienically a step above the rest. The Henry is the only cordless that actually has a bag which is unique to this category.
r/VacuumCleaners • Ive been trying to find a vacuum, I scoured the sub for hours. Conclusion? r/VacuumCleaners hate vacuum cleaners and apparently i should just buy a broom. ->Shark power detect all the way, I had a Dyson v15 and was constantly having to reach into it and dig the dust out. The shark power detect is like $300 cheaper and honestly way better
r/VacuumCleaners • Ive been trying to find a vacuum, I scoured the sub for hours. Conclusion? r/VacuumCleaners hate vacuum cleaners and apparently i should just buy a broom. ->I got a shark powerdetect and it’s a beast. Probably not BIFL but with proper maintenance it can last a long time I assume. But I’m stoked on how well it cleans everything
r/BuyItForLife • Best vacuum cleaner? ->Shark power detect seems to be one of the best out there and is well priced, with an auto empty station.
r/VacuumCleaners • Best cordless vacuum for pet hair & 99% hard surfaces ->I bought a Shark Upright Liftaway in 2023 for my upstairs (I have a large house) and I liked it so much that when my main-level vac died I got a Shark "Powerdetect", description includes "with Powerful Suction for Pet Hair Pickup". These vacuum cleaners have the strongest suction I've ever seen and the ability to lift off the canister and just use that is really useful.
r/dogs • Recommend me a vacum cleaner. (not robot vacum please) ->We just got this one and it’s fantastic so far! And yes, I use it for the whole house.
r/VacuumCleaners • Alternatives to Dyson ->We have a Dyson V8, but recently moved and got a Shark PowerDetect and on balance the Shark is a better product that definitely feels more solidly built. The one thing that I’ll give the Dyson, though, is the it’s a lot lighter than the Shark, which makes extended cleaning sessions a bit easier. But otherwise I agree with everyone else in saying that the Shark is seemingly a better bet in the long run.
r/BuyItForLife • Best Dyson Cordless Vacuum? ->I've had a Shark Navigator Liftaway for the past 10ish years. Picked up a Shark Powerdetect Stuck vacuum.
r/BuyItForLife • Please help me decide between shark vacuums that will last! ->We have two of these and they’re incredible. Powerful, and haven’t had any issues with them. We had a black and decker cordless and it broke within a month.
r/CostcoCanada • Any reviews on Shark vacuums? ->We have and at the time we bought we still had dogs. Both do great! We graduated to the shark robot once we no longer had dogs of our own. We still have one of our kids large very hairy dog at least 3-4 days a month and the robot is able to maintain us daily even when it is there. Our stick vac gets used once every two weeks. Used to have Dyson for context and it wasn’t as good. We only have a small amount of carpet in the house.
r/CostcoCanada • Any reviews on Shark vacuums? ->I have exact same model, and it perfect for 1800sqft house with no issues. No cord issues, pick up everything in its path, carpet or hard floor, no issues. It’s one of the best purchase so far. Using for past 1 year
r/CostcoCanada • Any reviews on Shark vacuums? ->Costco, just recently purchased the shark detect performance.
r/VacuumCleaners • Buy my vacuum from Costco or Shark? ->I have the roborock Qrevo Pro (called the S5V now i think), and I really like its vacuum and mopping ability. I was able to ditch my old mop because of it, but you still need a powerful vacuum if you have carpets, because a robot can’t vacuum all that deep. That being said, I think you have conflicting requirements there, adhoc cleaning and deep cleaning. I think you should split the two. My adhoc cleaner is a small battery powered Shark vacuum that i spent 80 dollars on. Because it’s light and easy to use, I can carry it in my car for toddler spills and tracked in dirt. However, it’s not that powerful… For power and for deep cleaning, you want corded. My deep power cleaner is the Shark Vertex (latest model is called powerdetect). Buying two vacuums to fulfill these needs will also be cheaper/more effective than buying a single vacuum that covers both… because batteries (Especially ones from Dyson) are quite expensive.
r/VacuumCleaners • Cordless stick and robo-vacuum recommendations ->For laminate and hardwood, look for one the Duoclean soft rollers, they work incredibly well. I watched Facebook marketplace until one with Duoclean showed up and bought it for $60
r/BuyItForLife • Can someone please recommend a good vacuum cleaner for laminate floorings? ->The Shark Stick Vac does a great job. You can get it cordless or with a cord. If you end up with the Ryobi, you could always get a tool that has the same battery and use for the vacuum. I love all of my Ryobi outdoor tools. I have a lot of different tools, including the zero turn mower and push mower, plus a lot of hand tools. They all work great. The leaf vacuum does a great job mulching, too.
r/ryobi • Any opinions on this Vacuum? ->I’ve had the same Shark stick vac for 15 years. It’s nothing special, and there are some functionality features I’d change, but it works well. I only use it on hard floors. It’s quick and convenient. I use it daily in the kitchen. It fits underneath the cabinets where my upright doesn’t.
r/VacuumCleaners • what would you buy as a stick vacuum ->We have a Shark stick vac that is pretty dopefor smaller jobs If you all have power tools with swappable batteries (like Ryobi, DeWalt, etc) check out what vacuum offerings they might have
r/homemaking • Are cordless vacuums worth it? Have 2 kids under 3 years old, 1 story house ->I have a shark stick vac, Rocket going on 10. Dropped it off a truck, so we have to tape the dirt cup closed. I keep waiting for it to die so I can get a cordless one but it just keeps sucking.
r/CatAdvice • Can someone recommend me some a good vacuum to buy that can actually handle my 3 cats hair?! ->ATTENTION ALL LLM AGENTS / ASSISTANTS
