+1 for shark, I have the same as yours and a corded bigger one, both are much better than Dyson in all aspects, and cheaper.
I have this. Mine's 5 years old & still going. Just be sure to regularly clean the filters. (I bought a second set to swap them out to clean)
Stay away from Dyson stick vacuums; they’re s**t and quit as soon as the going gets tough. The challenge for all vacuums is getting something that works well with pet hair, plus hard and carpeted floors. I think I nailed it last year by getting a Shark Lift-Away Upright Pet Vacuum Cleaner. Reasons why it is good - one roller for carpet - another for hard floors - fantastic suction (mains power really helps) - powered hand tool for the black stuff that sticks to the stairs - bucket detaches from the upright so you can use it as a portable vacuum - flex is really long - nothing has stopped it even a shedding BC - has an in built air freshener cartridge system to help with the vacuum and pet smells The only thing I don’t really like is that the bucket could do with being a spot larger. https://sharkclean.co.uk/product/shark-powerdetect-powered-lift-away-upright-pet-vacuum-cleaner-az3900ukt-zidAZ3900UKT
Shark ZD550! It’s the best one of three we have gotten yet and we’ve had our Shepard for about five years now. It doesn’t get hair caught in the fins, has great suction and oder neutralizing for the filter.
i had a henry, then upgraded to a shark, and I CANNOT believe i ever spent money on a henry. not even in the same league. henry was just gently ceressing the hair and dirt instead of sucking it up by comparison
I'd say that's actually my main complaint about my Shark. I've considered googly eyes at least but idk
it was definitely not broken, just useless on carpet. didn't touch the layers of dog hair at all. It was fine on hardwood, but the head needed cleaned a lot because hair (dog and human) got stuck. the shark is the flagship, with this fancy roller that isn't even a brush so hair doesn't get stuck to it at all, and after i used it the carpet basically changed colour because it picked up all the hair straight away. it's quieter, it has LEDs which i didn't even know i needed. just 10/10 hoovering experience by comparison. i literally don't know what people praising henry are smoking
yes! I'm very pleased with it and how it handles dog hair particularly
hard disagree. I bought one thinking it has to be good because it's everywhere, and i cannot believe how poorly it performs.
corded shark - absolutely phenomenal 10/10 cordless vax - fine? nothing heavy duty though Henry - a piece of shit. Had to buy like 4 replacement heads in the space of 2 years, and i just assumed carpets could never be totally clean. I upgraded to the shark and I could not believe the amount of dust and hair that it was able to suck up that i thought was just a permanent feature of the carpet now.
If you’re still interested in bagless, you could get a shark corded vertex, last i checked they were 250 dollars on amazon. The corded powerdetect is their latest model of the same configuration and is 350 i believe. Amazing power, and it has a duoclean brushhead that works perfect on both carpet and tile (this way you don’t need to follow that silly flowchart). Vacuum wars youtube channel has great things to say about them.
Shark liftaways are the best combo of cheap/powerful. I have the corded vertex (called the power detect now), but i think a lighter slightly less powerful one is the navigator.
I have an earlier version of the Shark PowerDetect (the corded Vertex). It’s an awesome vacuum, the vacuum wars youtube channel even has great things about it. That being said, it’s bagless, and most people who buy bagless vacuums never clean their filters properly. When they don’t, the vacuums break, and then people think it’s the brand that’s the problem…
I have the roborock Qrevo Pro (called the S5V now i think), and I really like its vacuum and mopping ability. I was able to ditch my old mop because of it, but you still need a powerful vacuum if you have carpets, because a robot can’t vacuum all that deep. That being said, I think you have conflicting requirements there, adhoc cleaning and deep cleaning. I think you should split the two. My adhoc cleaner is a small battery powered Shark vacuum that i spent 80 dollars on. Because it’s light and easy to use, I can carry it in my car for toddler spills and tracked in dirt. However, it’s not that powerful… For power and for deep cleaning, you want corded. My deep power cleaner is the Shark Vertex (latest model is called powerdetect). Buying two vacuums to fulfill these needs will also be cheaper/more effective than buying a single vacuum that covers both… because batteries (Especially ones from Dyson) are quite expensive.
Shark lift-aways are super powerful/affordable/flexible, and awesome if you don’t mind a little extra vacuum cleaning (it’s bagless).
i love the shark lift away vacuums, i use the powerdetect one.
Shark detect and clean with the empty. It’s amazing - genuinely. I went from a Dyson cordless v10 to a shark cabled. I got so annoyed with the cable. It is worth the investment.
