Last month I got the Shark PowerPro Vacuum (this model: [https://x.com/BestDealsHQ1/status/1973111633380590000](https://x.com/BestDealsHQ1/status/1973111633380590000)) and it’s been really good. It handles the mix of carpet + hard floors in my home really well, and it’s been doing a solid job with the pet hair too.

Thank you. Unfortunately I had one of these a few years ago and it lost power very quickly. I wouldn't by one again.

I’ve owned several Dysons in the past (including a battery-powered stick) and every single one of them required warranty repairs, including: burst hoses, refusal to charge, air leaks, strange and loud noises, parts that broke off. After warranty, they all became garage sale with “mostly works” disclaimers. I went all-stick and looked up the most critical reviews on hard-core British consumer web sites and followed their advice. The two shark ion stick vacuums I got have been working flawlessly for the master five years and their performance has been unparalleled. I realize now that I had been sold a false dream with Dyson.

We have and at the time we bought we still had dogs. Both do great! We graduated to the shark robot once we no longer had dogs of our own. We still have one of our kids large very hairy dog at least 3-4 days a month and the robot is able to maintain us daily even when it is there. Our stick vac gets used once every two weeks. Used to have Dyson for context and it wasn’t as good. We only have a small amount of carpet in the house.

Tile and hardwood with one small rug. I have a sebo E1. Good vacuum but not as powerful as my old shark upright and area rug cleaning is adequate. No pets here. Sebo is good but I sort of expected better for the premium price. Stil like it but realize your experience isn't going to blow you away for the double or triple price, it'll be better but not twice as good. Hope it lasts forever though. My shark pro was unstoppable for 10 years until movers smashed it.

I have a shark pro and it's amazing with 2 cats and 2 dogs. I've had it for like 5 years and it's still going strong!

The Shark Stick Vac does a great job. You can get it cordless or with a cord. If you end up with the Ryobi, you could always get a tool that has the same battery and use for the vacuum. I love all of my Ryobi outdoor tools. I have a lot of different tools, including the zero turn mower and push mower, plus a lot of hand tools. They all work great. The leaf vacuum does a great job mulching, too.

I’ve had the same Shark stick vac for 15 years. It’s nothing special, and there are some functionality features I’d change, but it works well. I only use it on hard floors. It’s quick and convenient. I use it daily in the kitchen. It fits underneath the cabinets where my upright doesn’t.

I have a shark stick vac, Rocket going on 10. Dropped it off a truck, so we have to tape the dirt cup closed. I keep waiting for it to die so I can get a cordless one but it just keeps sucking.

I've always found them to be hype. Used to have a Dyson corded that I got from my dad second hand. it was good, until I decided to replace it with a Shark corded. The first time I used the shark, you'd have thought I'd never hoovered the carpet, honestly the amount of engrained hair and dust it pulled out was insane in comparison to the Dyson which looked like it was doing a good job, it's not that it didn't pick anything up but I would say the recovery rate was probably 65% in comparison to the shark. I then bought the shark stick handheld and was using that but when I split with my ex it stayed at the house. My new partner has a Dyson V8 and it's crap in comparison, there is stuff I know my shark would of picked up easily and the Dyson struggles. I also have a V7 my dad gave me which I just replaced the battery on as that had got to the point where it would only run for 30seconds before switching off so will see how it is with the new battery but tbh don't hold high hopes.

I love, love, love my Shark. I bought it because it claimed that the roller brush was self cleaning and it's true. No hair ever, ever has gotten wrapped around the roller brush in the 5+ years that I've had my Shark. My previous vacuum (not a Shark) every month I had to use scissors and/or sharp knife to cut the hair off the roller brush but never once with my Shark. I love it. Best money I ever spent and it wasn't even an expensive vacuum.
