We just got a Shark Cordless Pet Pro (or similar maybe slightly less model) with a self-empty base and charging station. It has made a HUGE difference for us in being able to vacuum frequently and easily. The vacuum lives on the base so it is always charged and the self empty is so helpful in keeping things contained. Also the brush roll doesn’t get caught up/tangled with hair. https://www.sharkclean.com/products/shark-cordless-powerdetect-clean-empty-system-zidIP3251?utm_source=GOOGLE&utm_medium=cpla&utm_campaign=Shark_DTC_CordlessStick_Shopping_Brand_Google&utm_adgroup=PowerDetect&utm_content=cordless-stick&utm_term=PRODUCT_GROUP&gclsrc=aw.ds&gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=20649415808&gbraid=0AAAAADofSimvqmISixxJys-LqF3PFbSAT&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIxpL_9KLyjwMVIF5HAR0wWy6yEAQYASABEgJRtPD_BwE
I have hair the same length and we got the shark pet stick vacuum. I’m forgetting the exact model. It’s the newest one and has a plastic roller versus a brush. So far I haven’t had to clean my hair out of it one time and I got it for Christmas.
Just me who friends Henry cumbersome and rubbish? I like the Shark cordless pet anti hair wrap one
Shark. The one that’s for pets with two roller. It’s a beast. I have a golden retriever, a lab mix and a cat. I brush everybody every day but still my vacuum fills the huge canister every other day!
We use a Shark Pet cordless which seems to be ok most of the time re: sucking up rugs. There is a low-suction setting which seems to work. It's very light weight and easy to handle. It's on sale this week at T\*\*get for less than $200.
Bought the cordless pet model from Costco. It's been great. For low pile rugs and hardwood it's fine. You can order a second battery off of Amazon so you're never without a charge. I like that the battery is removable vs integrated like many other cordless brands. You can't really go wrong for the price and it's costco so you're good if it's not what you're expecting!
I'm in a similar home and have 2 cats, one of which I'm surprised isn't bald from how much he sheds. I've got a Shark cordless pet whatever and it tucks away easily, is light and cleans up everything without any issues. The battery lasts several full cleans of the flat before I have to charge it. It's not the cheapest vacuum but it's miles better than any of the ones I've used before at my parents house and definitely beats Dyson vacuums. It's easy to dismantle and clean each part, too. It's not very loud, which is something I was very mindful of when I bought it. If I have to quickly turn it on at midnight because the cat knocked something over, I don't feel like I'll be waking up the entire block around me.
I find myself using my Shark Pet cordless way more than the Sebo canister these days. It’s convenient, not too heavy and maneuvers well.
I have only 2 buns but they’re double maned lionheads so they’re very fluffy and second the shark recommendation! It was £250 directly from shark (not sure what that is in euros) but it’s been so worth it. I got the pet edition that comes with anti hair wrap technology and added attachments and it’s so good for all the fluff and bits of hay! I’ve not had to unclog it once since getting it. It’s honestly the best household appliance I’ve bought. If there’s a fire I’m grabbing my rabbits and my hoover. ETA - I have long, thick hair and it’s good for that too!
Same, I got the cordless pet model from Costco when it went on sale like… 7 years ago? And it’s still going strong. It’s the only vacuum I use to clean my three story house with kids and dogs and it does the job just fine. Sometimes the battery will die before I’ve vacuumed everywhere if I haven’t vacuumed in a while and I’m “deep cleaning” but it charges quickly anyway
