I have a Shark Duo that eats Border Collie hair. Retired my 25 year old Miele cat and dog. It would clog in 20 seconds.
New shark user here, mostly hardwood and lvt I mh house an the duo head works really well, even up against thd edges of the kitchen units. It's better than my Miele corded machine in that respect.
I use clients' vacs but I really want to get my own Shark Duo Clean corded which is lightweight and also folds in half for compact storage. I've used a client's and really liked it. I agree about Henry's, I hate them for weight and they're treacherous balancing on stairs.
I had a corded Shark with the duo clean and tbh it was amazing at first. I used it for almost 6 years. I ran a roomba daily and would use my shark once a week. I have 3 cats, so lots of fur. Eventually, I moved in with my boyfriend, and every time I would vacuum he would start sneezing. The filter for the shark was just not great. I've upgraded to a Miele C3 with bags, and the air quality is just AMAZING. My boyfriend has even commented on the fact that he no longer sneezes when vacuuming. The amount of dirt the Miele finds is also significantly more than the shark, but I dont want to compare as the shark was almost 6 years old vs a brand new Miele.
Good to know thanks for pointing out that they changed. I’m here because my 8 year old rocket stick vac has officially died. I wasn’t sure if I should stick with it or try something new. It went to an early grave because contractors in my old apartment used it as a shop vac…
I’ve had three Dyson Animal Stick vacuums that I liked enough to replace (refurbs each time) but I’d never depend on them as my only vacuum. Good for quick pickups. Bought a refurb Shark Rocket (with the plug) for a small cabin and I actually prefer it to the Dyson—especially LED lights on the head.
NO. Get the shark! I regret my Dyson purchase so much. This week I used a family members wired shark rocket and it was amazing. Switching back to wired shark from wireless Dyson as soon as I can afford to replace.
For my hard floors, I use a shark duoclean. It has a regular brush roll, but in front of that it has a soft, kinda fuzzy brush roll. It picks up crumbs, dirt, and dust like a champ Unfortunately, it’s not under $200 new but you could likely find a lightly used one for that cost
