With 2 dogs and a cat I think a cordless won't do as good a job as one with a cord. I have 3 small dogs and my cordless needs to be dumped many times when doing the house. I like my shark rotator...I think it's called a "Tru pet" or something like that.
I finally replaced my 10 year old shark rotator lift away last year- one of my kids was moving out and I figured rather than buy them a new one I would get myself a new one and pass that one on. I replaced it with a shark navigator the day before they moved and they were on their happy way with my well loved vacuum. I unboxed the navigator liftaway and halfway through the first room I hated it. It isn't heavy but you really have to push to get it to go the direction you want it to. And forget about trying to manuever it around a table leg. It cleans well so I forced myself to keep using it hoping it just needing to be worn in a bit. It didn't get better. Thankfully I have several kids close in age so I had an excuse to pawn this one off and get a different one this winter. I replaced it with the shark rotator pet lift away that I got from sams club. I am in love again. It is so easy to use on carpet and hard floors, turns smoothly, doesn't get hair tangled on the roller and is so light I can easily carry it between floors. It does have a narrower cleaning head than some but that makes it a bit easier to get under chairs and around furniture legs in my opinion. Bottom line- go for the rotator not the navigator :)

I have had three labs at a time over the last 18 years, so LOTS of lab hair as you can imagine, and I’ve tried MANY different vacuums from cheap to Dyson. I swear by the Shark Rotator Pet Upright and Shark Stratos Upright. Love them both. Got them on Amazon. The amount of hair they pick up is phenomenal. Constantly ask my babies how they aren’t bald. Lol The lift away on the Stratos has also been amazing because it helps me get to hard to reach places.
We had a $500 Dyson and it was good not great and lasted about 7 years. We have the $250 shark rotator pet kills the Dyson and half the price. Can't recommend it enough.
I have a shark rotator pet vacuum with a cord that I love! I have a very hairy lab mix with very thick fur. It does a great job of getting up all the dust and dog hair. I got it from Walmart for $250
I have an older Shark Rotator Pet upright corded vacuum and love it. If it broke today, I would replace it tomorrrow. I don't trust cordless models at all - none of them are still going to be good as new 10 years from now. I wouldn't spend extra for a Dyson knowing how well mine has worked. I have always had at least 2 cats and it's a workhorse. I would probably pay extra for the ones that claim (human) hair doesn't get caught in the brush (as someone with medium to long hair) who really hates to clean the brush.
I have the Shark Rotator and really like it. It’s the white one with red trim
Shark - I have a rotator lift away for years and years with a dog and cat.. loooooove it. [shark](https://www.sharkclean.ca/sharkca.product_categories.vacuums.upright_vacuums)
