I have a shark, I went for a pet model. With a clean tank and replacing the filters every 6 months, the suction is incredible. It's been lifting my rugs up off the floor on its turbo setting. It has a large roller bush and have absolutely no issue with the copious amounts of Labrador fur, bits of hay and general dust. I can put my Henry over then go over with the shark and the shark will still pull out even more. The fragrance thing built in as a nice neutral sanitary smell to it. Mine gets abused just as much as my numatic George.
Wash every month in bio laundry detergent, then full replacement after 6. But my filters get gummed up pretty bad with the torture I put it through. Filters I order directly through shark whenever they got deals on. So the last order was£30 which containerd the main filters (2), allergen filter and the fragrance thing. My exact model: iz420ukt
I know nothing about vacuums, read some reviews a couple weeks ago, and decided to go with the Stratos. I really wanted to like it. Also tried to convince myself to keep it, but It's going back tomorrow. The battery life is insulting for the price.
Can you guys ever just answer the persons question? 🙄 I think by now most people know corded will always be more powerful but they’re clearly asking about cordless. I have a super sheddy dog and the Shark Stratos has been really good for me on carpet/tile. I use it almost everyday for maintenance and then deep clean with my corded Shark Navigator weekly.
Go with the Shark Stratos Cordless. For an apartment with mixed floors, not having to switch heads is a massive quality-of-life upgrade, and the dual-roller system picks up Cheerios and fine dust equally well.
Shark is genuinely my favourite brand! I have the Shark Stratos cordless vacuum and it’s honestly brilliant. Definitely keeps up with our colony of animals, even on the carpets where they like to roll around. I used to work in electrical sales and would always recommend Shark, as well as Ninja kitchen appliances because the companies are linked and they’re just as great. Definitely considering the hydrovac as a next purchase, the lazier my ass can be the better!
Based on our testing, they all do about the same on hard floor, but the V15 Detect has the edge on carpet. I'd say go with the Stratos Cordless. It's cheaper, and the bending wand does help its maneuverability. We use the Dyson V15s Detect as our "reset" vacuum between testing quite a few times a week, and it's been working well for 2ish years now. That being said, I have seen posts on here that have said both Shark and Dyson are not really "buy it for life" products, especially when it comes to their batteries so that's something to keep in mind.
