Shark- vertex DuoClean PowerFin Upright Vacuum with powered lift away. Hasn’t died yet and it gets abused. Also weekly brushing helps a lot.

If you’re still interested in bagless, you could get a shark corded vertex, last i checked they were 250 dollars on amazon. The corded powerdetect is their latest model of the same configuration and is 350 i believe. Amazing power, and it has a duoclean brushhead that works perfect on both carpet and tile (this way you don’t need to follow that silly flowchart). Vacuum wars youtube channel has great things to say about them.

What’s popular here isn’t highly regarded by what I consider to be an expert vacuum reviewer (vacuum wars youtube channel). Everyone here like’s expensive old school vacuums with bags. I don’t think the vacuum head or attachment designs on those models are particularly useful, and they’re expensive. Personally, I like my bagless shark corded vertex (last i checked it was 250 on amazon, it’s the older version of the latest high model that I believe is called the power detect). It’s powerful, fully HEPA sealed, has a head that works on any floor type, easily configurable to be an upright or canister, and much cheaper than what others here love to talk about.

None of that is true. My bagless Shark has significantly more airflow than any miele or sebo (as tested by vacuum wars). Another nice thing with shark (or at least the high end model i have) is that their filters are truly washable. I only own a second set of filters so i can quickly swap between one set while the other dries. I’m at 3.5 years of use and neither set appears close to wearing out. I wash my filters just as, if not less often than a bagged owner has to switch out their bag. He’s an expert in my book, he actually demonstrates how all of the different vacuums out there perform in just about every scenario i could ever imagine, provides detailed performance metrics, and helps educate people. While durability is a subjective topic to touch on, my Shark seems to fit that bill just fine so far. I can repair any vacuum myself just fine - My last budget bissell vacuum lasted 11 years before upgrading it (it never failed on me, i simply wanted a feature upgrade), and i imagine this shark will last me at least just as long.

Who knows, i have a corded shark vertex that has performed flawlessly for 3 years. If you keep the filters clean then you won’t run into problems with them.

I really love my Shark Vertex, which is an older version of what you have shown there. Tons of power and works great on both hardfloors and carpet.

I have the Vertex (it’s an older version of one of their lift-aways) and love it. It’s easy to disassemble and put back together, and it’s only a few pieces. I believe their current flagship liftaway is the PowerDetect corded, just a slightly fancier version of the Vertex.

Shark lift-aways are super powerful/affordable/flexible, and awesome if you don’t mind a little extra vacuum cleaning (it’s bagless).

I've had a shark vertex (corded) for ages and I have not been kind to it. 

After my second Dyson died I decided to try a Shark Vertex. Holy cow! The suction on this thing is scary good. Only complaint is that when I use the wand it wants to tip over.
