Sticks are helpful. Get a Simplicity S67 over a Dyson. It’s cheaper and better made.
Riccar (R65) Simplicity (S67) Stick vacs are poor vacuums. A pro once said to me "you shoud think of them as weak electric brooms, not vacuums ". A D4 later and I get it now. I'd buy a bagged cordless before getting a stick vac. However, If I ever do buy a stick vac again it will probably be one of those two.
Simplicity S67. Works amazing, battery charged. Only around $250
No. Like most stick vacs it doesnt stay up. However, it comes with a wall charger so you can mount it on the wall to hang.
Simplicity s67 hands down. Believe it’s under $300 USD, and in Canada is $349. Put that thing next to a Gen 5 Dyson, and it’s way better value for identical performance, and will probably last longer, and easier to get parts for Edit: Simplicity S67 and Riccar R65 are the new versions of the simplicity S65
Simplicity S67 is the best stick vacuum at that price range hands down. Under heavy use though, no stick vacuum will have a long life span reliably. They are best suited for quick pick ups. The Miele DuoFlex / Triflex when maintained properly have the best odds at lasting a long time. The riccar R65 which is a step up from the simplcity S67 is another great stick vacuum.
Simplicity S67. The step up version is the Riccar R65. The S67 is a champ stick vac for its price. You could put that next to plenty of $1000 stick vacs, and the S67 will not in any way look bad next to those! It's truly a wonderful stick vac. Edit: It's without question better than most dysons, especially the cheaper ones.
Simplicity S67. It should be close to your budget. Easier to find replacement parts for than shark. Has a lot of great features. Hands down my favourite budget stick vacuum. I can’t recommend anything under $200 usd. Edit: the step up from that is the Riccar R65, which is what I use. The S67 offers similar performance.
I'm gonna start with recommending the Miele DuoFlex, as it's IMO the most solid built stick vacuum, without being the most expensive. You can add on a softer roller that's more specialized for hardfloor later on if you feel you need it, but it's not typically needed as the standard roller still works fine for most people. Otherwise, I'd recommend the simplicity S67. Replacement parts are available, very good airflow for the price, and you can get a specialized hardfloor power nozzle later on if you feel you need it. The S67 is great value, the Miele will most likely cost the least in the long run. Hoover just uses very poor plastics quite often, and part availability is questionable. Same goes for shark, bissell, dyson, dirt devil.
We got a simplicity stick vacuum 6 years ago. Use it almost daily and she’s still running like a damn champ. Replaceable batteries too when this one goes out. It’s not our main vacuum though. We have a Kenmore Elite Canister. Have an older Riccar before they moved overseas. Also have a Qrevo Curv X robot vacuum as well as a Tineco Hammerhead. The simplicity though is a damn champ. No idea if you can still get them or not.
I got a simplicity and like it not sure if it’s available outside the us. It’s cordless.
