Simplicity - Spiffy S60

I think you're looking for an upright or stick vacuum compared to your Miele C1 Canister as most canisters have suction only floor brushes but most uprights has a spinning brushroll but there are a few. 1. [Simplicity Spiffy S60](https://www.simplicityvac.com/s60) $129. This is a corded stick vacuum with a suction only floor head, it has no brushes or bristles but it has a squeegee on the rear. It has 2 power levels. It is probably the most readily available of this list, many vacuum stores that sell Simplicity & Riccar will sell this. However it is bagless so it isn't good for allergies and it will require washing the filter regularly. It is light, easy to use, I had one for several years before giving it to a cousin. It has a long cord and it is powerful, I would use high for hard floors but I would usually use low for rugs and carpets so it doesn't get stuck. It comes with a crevice tool but it's not easy to take the floor head off and the upper handle isn't removable so it's not a good hand vacuum and the crevice tool is pointless. 2. [BISSELL BigGreen Commercial BGSV6000T Hercules Slim](https://www.amazon.com/BISSELL-BigGreen-Commercial-BGSV6000T-Hercules/dp/B00LIQB3SI?gQT=1) $100. This is rare dinosaur, it's a corded stick vacuum with disposable bags! The Hercules Slim name was dropped on some of the newer editions, and this vacuum might be discontinued. I haven't used this vacuum but based on the simple and efficient design it has strong suction and 2 power levels. The Bissell Commerical version has a nice long cord. It also has 2 tools but similarly since you can't remove the upper handle I would rarely use the crevice and upholstery tool. Bissell Commercial still sells the bags 10 pack for $14, I'd buy 3 packs and they might outlast the vacuum. One downside is this Bissell does not stand up on it's own, the Simplicity Spiffy does stand up on it's own. 3. It is powerful and uses bags. It comes with a carpet powerhead and a suction only combo floor head and it can stand upright with both floor heads. It also has a built in hose and tools. It's still lightweight. There is a cordless version but it's nearly twice the price. 4. [Makita DCL182ZB Cordless Vacuum Cleaner 18V](https://www.amazon.com/Makita-DCL182ZB-Cordless-Vacuum-Cleaner/dp/B01N2Q07V0?source=ps-sl-shoppingads-lpcontext&ref_=fplfs&psc=1&smid=A1V5QA53AWV1MN&gQT=1) $126 (tool only, no battery or charger included). This Makita is a small cordless stick vacuum with a suction only floor brush and it uses small disposable bags. The batteries and chargers are not included with this vacuum but you may find some packages where they are included. This Makita vacuum has the weakest suction since it's cordless and uses 18V batteries. I'd really only try this vacuum if you already had Makita power tools and batteries.
