Our entire first floor is tile and it was always such a project to clean them. About 2 years ago we bought a Tineco S5 Steam Vacuum/Mop after every power mop we tried left residue, needed mid-clean brush changes, or just didn’t get it clean. I know you asked for a cordless (we wanted something cordless too), ours is corded, but they do offer cordless (Floor One S5/S7). Here’s why I’d push back a little, I did some digging when we were looking and because of the steam, the battery powered ones only last about 30-45 minutes on a good day. We needed more time and didn’t want to get stuck mid clean having to lose momentum to charge the battery. The cord trade off has been worth it for us. It works on hardwood too (in its specs) and it produces the cleanest floors I’ve ever walked on. No streaks ever, no residue, no need to buy proprietary cleaner for it. It’s got a self cleaning option, an edger for the roller to keep it clean and it’s pretty quiet too. Gets right to the edge (from the left side of the mop head). Ours is from 2024 and I’m sure they’ve only gotten better since. Our only complaint: the dirty water tank needs emptying about 4-5 times per clean, and it needs a self cleaning (place on the tray and press a button, takes about 3 minutes) about the same amount of times. Small price to pay for clean floors and clean rollers.

Yes and I still love it 2 years in, still the same no streaks. Rollers are clean and half dry when you’re done with self cleaning, I pop it out, put a dry one in for next time and let the wet one air dry. Never smelled any mildew smell at all. I can’t answer the battery life question. I’m sure YouTube has plenty of new reviews about them. There were a lot when I was looking. They all leaned towards this: if you’re getting the steam version, you might want to consider the corded version, depending on your square footage. Last bonus: not having to buy a proprietary solution is a hidden gem once you experience it 😂

I just got it for $284 (plus tax) hopefully it is worth it.

I got it a few days ago and love it. Of course the floors had been vacuumed and mopped a week before so there was not a lot of build up. I would say that if you use it regularly, at least once a week (we have one short haired dog and a cat) then it works great. There was a decent amount of clean up work, but with the auto clean and the tanks being easy to empty/fill/clean it is stilll way less work than a traditional vacuum and mop. However one important caveat: I think I would need to use it once a week for 3 years in order to justify the $300 I spent on it. It is worth $2 every time you use it. If you paid more than $300 and or if it breaks before 3 years then I would say no, it is not worth it. That means you need to buy at a discount and it needs to last 3 years, longer than the 2 year warranty.

We've had the S5 for 3 years and have had no issues with it. No good for carpets, fortunately we have none

NO!!! Tineco has been the worst purchase of my life. First, the charger broke after a month, then the suction motor. I complained, and they demanded I pay for shipping out of my own pocket. All I can read are hundreds of reviews with the same problems: it breaks, it's a pain to clean, and in the end, it doesn't work. I wouldn't recommend it to my worst enemy. Oh, and they have the worst customer service ever. Don't buy from Tineco!

I LOVE my S5 from Tineco - my floors are now spotless and my once filthy floor is a thing of the past! Cleaning it is easy enough once you get used to it. The floor debris mixes with the water so it can get a little gross at times, but the ease of use is worth a little bit of gross floor water imo.

YES!! It's self propelling which makes like easier if you have a bad back like I do haha!

I love the Tineco S5 - it's super convenient and it's made my floors spotless. New apartment was shockingly FILTHY before, but getting rid of the floor water was super satisfying. It charges quickly, and self cleans. I will be sticking with Tineco long after this one gives up or needs upgrading, but I think it'll be with us for a long while.

Only good for the first month or so of charges. My tineco tho? Yep. Love it.

It comes with 2 batteries, and it seemed to pick up a ton of junk that my Dyson failed to pick up. Tbh I joke when I got the tineco is how I knew I was grown up. I spent 2 weeks vacuuming *everything* and it picked up *so* much that the Dyson wasn't. Literally canisters full and I vacuum near daily.

Oh thanks! Except the tineco comes with way more... and an extra battery so I can actually vacuum my entire house. Not only that it pulled up a disgusting amount of grime that my 3yr old Dyson couldn't... and they have way better customer service and replacement parts are affordable... and the intial purchase is significantly less than a dyson..... as someone with pets, kids and wears shoes in the house. Go find a goose!

Tbh, hubs got me a tineco as a present and I had never heard of it before. So sure. I apparently am in a cult I've never heard of, for a vacuum that I love cuz its a ***good*** stick vacuum? Ok habe fun with that one :) I still prefer my 15 yr old hoover upright pet vacuum that weighs like 20lbs but due to disability i can barely lift these days. Sorry for recommending a good, affordable option that **in my experience** out performs Dyson in every way. Have a good one 👍

And FYI both the carpet and floor bars come with built in lights... and its already 2 years old 😂

Data point: I have a tineco stick vacuum and the vacuum mop. Like ‘em both. If don’t have carpet and you mostly want clean floors, go vacuum mop. I use mine more frequently than the vacuum. If you like clean floors but also want the ability to easily clean the crumbs out of the silverware drawer, the lint out of the dryer trap and suck up fossilized fruit snacks from couch crevices, get the stick vacuum. This is why i 💗 the vacuum.

Absolutely. A cordless stick vacuum is life changing. A Dyson is amazing. Any vacuum that prevents hair wrap is a must have. Because who has the spoons for doing that extra step. I’m also going to recommend a tineco vacuum mop. Best thing ever. Even when I’ve forgotten to clean it out it wasn’t that bad.
