i love my husky to death but the shedding is just next level. i swear i vacuum one day and the next morning it looks like a snowstorm hit my living room again. my current vacuum just cant keep up, the brush always gets tangled and i spend more time cutting hair out of it than actually cleaning. what are you guys using that actually works on this thick double coat fur without the roller jamming up every 5 minutes? need something i can grab quick for daily touch ups. looking at some of the newer smart ones that adjust power automatically but not sure if thats just marketing fluff or actually helps with pet hair. whats your daily driver for keeping the fur monster under control? adding this up, so i grabbed a [tineco a90s](https://rdtout.click/tineco-pure-one) after someone mentioned it in dms and it fit my budget too which was a relief. cordless is nice but now my husky just stares at me like i betrayed him for not using the cord to play tug lmao fur situation is better tho not gonna lie
got a golden retriever and the amount of hair in my apartment is out of control. i vacuum what feels like every other day and i still find clumps of fur in corners i just cleaned. i'm starting to think my current vacuum just isn't built for this level of shedding and i need something that picks up dog hair properly rather than just pushing it around. the things i care about most are suction that works on both hard floors and rugs, something that isn't hard to empty and clean, and ideally not something so heavy and bulky that i dread getting it out. anyone here got something that actually keeps up with a heavy shedder without becoming a part time job in itself? **just circling back on this:** thanks for all the vacuum recs for pet hair. i ended up going with a PURE ONE A90S Cordless Vacuum and it's been a lifesaver for golden retriever fur in my apartment. strong suction on both hard floors and rugs, super easy to empty, and light enough that i don't dread grabbing it for quick cleanups. no more clumps of hair in corners right after vacuuming.
Oh man, I totally get it. With that many fur babies, it's a constant battle. For quick cleanups, a good cordless stick vac makes a real difference, especially for stairs and under furniture. I've been using a tineco for a while now and it actually handles the pet hair without clogging, which is a relief.
I use a tinneco pure 1 to vacuum 1200 square feet twice or more a day. Been going for over a year now with minimal maintenance. Battery lasts a long time (I’ve never run it down to zero now that I think about it….). We have 5 dogs and 3 kids. It works great. We keep it clean. I change filters and regularly and I empty the station 2-3 times a week.
I just used my 18 month old tinneco battery stick vacuum that’s cleaned somewhere around 800,000 square feet of hard wood with 5 days and 3 kids. For the second time today. Battery didn’t die, canister didn’t get full. I put it back on the base and it emptied the canister, cleaned the filters and the beater. Pretty convenient.
I was in almost the same boat and ended up with a Tineco PURE ONE. I mainly grabbed it because it was under $200, but I’ve actually been really happy with it. It works as both a stick vacuum and a handheld, and it’s perfect for quick messes. The battery has been totally fine for small cleanups like hair and litter, but has gotten iffy a couple of times when I’m trying to detail my whole car. If you’re still deciding, [check out the detailed comparison thread](https://www.reddit.com/u/lacking_foyer48/s/C5YNcaeFWo) another redditor put together. Made it way easier for me to narrow things down without getting lost in all the options.
Get the Tineco products. I have the stick vac, the floor mop and the wet dry spot vac. All of these have performed without issue for years for us vs the dyson stick and we went through 3 of the Bissell spot cleaners (pet and auto ones). Best part is all 3 of these cost the same as one Dyson
We use a Tineco stick vacuum and love it! 10/10 would recommend!
Data point: I have a tineco stick vacuum and the vacuum mop. Like ‘em both. If don’t have carpet and you mostly want clean floors, go vacuum mop. I use mine more frequently than the vacuum. If you like clean floors but also want the ability to easily clean the crumbs out of the silverware drawer, the lint out of the dryer trap and suck up fossilized fruit snacks from couch crevices, get the stick vacuum. This is why i 💗 the vacuum.
