Bought a refurbished Dyson v10 from their eBay store. Have had to replace a few parts that I broke over the years, battery is still fine too. I also have a plug in vax for the longer deeper vacuum jobs!

I went for corded Vax. It's usually stronger and far more affordable. They also tend to last longer imo.

Depends on your situation. We have 4 dogs, and are slowly doing a lot of DIY. We had a cordless and it was just not up to the job, a Dyson V10. It is pretty much dead after a few years of constant heavy use with bits falling apart, so bought a corded vax and are very happy with it and don't find the cord obtrusive at all due to its design.

Honestly I’ve had a corded Vax for 5 years and it’s been great but with a 7mo and how small our house is I just don’t have the room for it anymore 😭 I’d love to secure something to the wall I just need more space it’s killing me 😂 thank you!

Robot vaccum and a Vax pet upright. I can go ages without having to vacuum or mop but it'll depend on how dirty your floors are. Mine is just pet hair and food bits

Unfortunately I think it depends on the carpet. I used to have a cheap pet Vax vacuum and it did an excellent job. Then I moved to a house with thick cheap carpet that was full of static and everything stuck to it. I ended up getting the pet meile but it was was still a lot of effort. The turbo head is good and sometimes I used the wood floor head instead as the brush dislodged fur from the carpet. It could be worth looking into one of those steam clean vacuums? Good luck

The pink Vax pets. This was after I'd been using a Shark for about a year! https://preview.redd.it/u0z9koepx4xf1.png?width=1079&format=png&auto=webp&s=02f214c9b5351fdce0923fe3e45968e9a4aae538
