I have both the Elgato Facecam Pro and the Insta360 Link 2. I just got the Insta360 as a potential upgrade. My experience is that the Facecam Pro may be capable of a technically sharper image, but I could never get it to look as good. The auto balancing for exposure and color correction was terrible in my experience. After spending hours with it, I was able to get it to look good in one lighting setting. If that lighting changed, it would get horribly washed out and I'd have to do new manual settings. It's reviewed as a great camera, I just had a poor experience with it in practice. The Insta360 is just very slightly not as sharp (and is not capable of 4k60fps if that's important to you). But it's been a much friendlier camera for me. I still played with some settings and have some stuff on manual, but it's a lot more plug and play. The tracking is cool for keeping me centered in frame, and the ability to easily tilt it down is awesome. For instance, if I wanted to have a view of me playing guitar or keyboard, it's really easy to adjust to capture that. Also, unexpected bonus, the Insta360 is smaller and lighter than the Facecam Pro. I am a TERRIBLE leg bouncer. The Facecam had so much mass that it would subtly bounce with my leg, and nobody said anything about it until I moved to the new camera and the bouncing stopped lol. Also worth noting the Insta360 is a good bit cheaper than the Facecam Pro. I personally got good value and quality out of both cameras. Happy to DM you a YouTube link to one of my VODs before and after I made the camera change if it helps
r/Twitch • Good quality webcam ->I have the elgato facecam pro, but honestly the mk2 would be just fine. The camera hub app also has tons of features to help fine tune exposure, saturation and all that jazz
r/Twitch • What webcam do you use? ->I have several 4k webcams, including Facecam Pro, Logitech Brio, Insta360....nothing compares to Razer Kyio Pro Ultra. It's soooo good that I stopped using my mirrorless Sony A7III for streaming.
r/workfromhome • Best webcam for WFH - 4K recommendations? ->I use the Elgato pro webcam through a cooperation and it is simply incomparably good
r/Twitch • What webcam would you recommend for a low light eviroment? ->The lighting is more important than the camera, the lens to the second most important and then the camera body is the third most important but even a cheap camera look nice and good lighting I'm currently using a Sony ZVE10 it was basically designed for bloggers or being used as a webcam and it's been a great camera. I have two GVM edge lights One of them is up on a standpointed at the ceiling to dimly light the room, then I have one for a fill light and then I use a amoran 60DS with a softbox on it for the key light When it comes to microphones I probably got about 40 microphones ranging from $1,200 to $60 I have an audio channel on YouTube, a lot of them were sent to me for free to review and generally I can take a $99 handheld microphone and put it up against a $1,200 microphone and the average person would never know the difference, only people listening on really high-end headphones, studio monitor or studio monitor headphones are really going to know the difference between a cheap and expensive microphone unless the microphone sounds really bad Now just like lighting goes for the camera of the roomy recording is more important than the microphone if you have a very reverb a room that's not sound treated and the room is noisy you could grab a $7,000 microphone and it would sound like crap but you could put a $200 microphone in a properly sound treated room that's quiet and it'll sound much better than the crazy expense of microphone in the bedroom If you want to condense your microphone get yourself a road NT1 signature series which sounds almost as good as my $1,200 microphone and it's only 160 bucks, The SSL 2 plus audio interface is super awesome and the focusrite Scarlett to i2 audio interface is great I think they're both around 200 bucks. If you just want a cheap microphone to start off with grab a Maono PD200x they're about 60 bucks work with XLR or USB and will make you sound nice until you can afford something better. Proper microphone placement is very important, a dynamic mic is usually about two to three inches in front of your face and a condenser microphone usually about 4 to 6 in in front of your face so put it up on a boom arm don't set it on your desk If you want a cheap camera that's good check out the El Gato facecam Mark 2 or the elgato facecam pro they're way cheaper than a real camera and probably the next best thing, most webcams look like trash in my opinion those ones are way better than most webcams and the anchor c310 is a sort of okay looking webcam you can get for about 99 bucks.
r/PartneredYoutube • What camera and mic setup do you use for your videos, and do you like it? ->I have two Logitech BRIOs sitting on the shelf, because they're useless basket-case shitgoblins. They error out, overheat, glitch, disconnect, and generally are just trash. I bought two because the whitesheet made them look like the perfect webcam. They are not. They look WORSE than a c920 even in perfect lighting somehow. I'll regularly take one off the shelf and update the software and firmware to see if it's fixed yet. Still no, so far. I'd recommend one of the Elgato Facecams if you're going with a webcam. The Mk2 or Pro both are at the upper end of what a webcam is going to be capable of, and punch almost on-par with a starter grade DSLR/mirrorless.
r/Twitch • Best webcams? Vs Logitech brio 4k? ->I have the facecam pro and i can confirm that it often does lean very magenta in color, more so than i would have anticipated based on previous cameras which I've had in the same space. Camera hub settings were not able to fix this for me, tweaking my lighting did. I have some RGB smart bulbs for accent lighting, and i spent some time adjusting those colors and found that there was a relatively small sweet spot where the colors looked *normal.* Its a great camera, id recommend getting a $10 RGB bulb and spending some time tweaking the color until it looks right. Edit: FYI i do like my lighting a bit on the warmer/redder side, but you CAN make it look normal with some tweaking.
r/Twitch • My Elgato Facecam Pro is not good :( ->The elgato face cam pro does a pretty good job in my opinion
r/Twitch • Camera for streaming - $300 budget ->Logitech C920 is what I started with. Good quality 1080p 👍 after a few months of streaming I was able to make enough to purchase an Elgato FaceCam Pro 💪
r/Twitch • Camera Options. ->So when I deactivate the white balance I find that the picture looks a bit more “real”. Nevertheless, I find my lips very reddish, for example, or my dark circles very strong. Is it not worth using a different camera? I didn't have to adjust anything on my previous Logitech Brio. Of course, the quality of the image is simply different and doesn't match the resolution and fluidity of the Elgato pro.
r/Twitch • My Elgato Facecam Pro is not good :( ->First of all Thank you. I've read several times now that the Elgato Pro is “very magenta”, the settings only had a limited effect so far . I use a Litra Glow from Logitech as my light source. That was always been enough.
r/Twitch • My Elgato Facecam Pro is not good :( ->Hello everybody, one month ago I bought a Facecam Pro that can 4K60 but the quality was very bad. So now I want a real cam. Do you have any suggestions ? Is the Sony ZV-E10 better than the A6000 at 1080p/60 ? Thanks in advance for the answers🫶
r/Twitch • Which camera? ->The brio is pretty good for its price. Make sure you get the one you have shown here if you choose brio. The newer one is honestly worse quality in terms of picture. I would not get the egato facecam unless you can get the pro, which is significantly more expensive but has insanely good picture quality for a webcam. Its almost indistinguishable from an actual DSLR. I'd say the obsbot is probably a little bit better than the brio in quality. The c922 that people are suggesting is markedly worse than any of these choices and despite what people tell you, lighting is not going to fix that. You're going to want good lighting for any camera you use.
r/Twitch • Which face cam should I get as a beginner streamer? ->The DSLR with a 135mm lens (if money is not the issue) would be absolutely premium, but as you said, it's really cumbersome. Both the Kiyo Ultra and Elgato Pro would be really worth trying. I like the low light picture quality with the Razer Kiyo Cams better than the Elgato ones, I saw that Elgato flickers more with low light. So it depends also on the lighting of your background. I'm currently using a Kiyo Pro (I hope I won't have the USB issue like you had!) with key lights in direction to a reflector in front of me, a ring light with diffusor on my face and a low background light, so the lighting is quite low at all. With NVIDIA Broadcast it makes a nice DSLR effect, this is the low budget version tho. I hope this somehow helps!
r/streaming • Best webcam in 2025? ->There is absolutely no need to drop 2k euros on a starter camera setup. And if you had that kind of money to just throw around, it’ll go further if invested in a nice mic + pre-amp than camera. People will sooner watch a stream with good audio and trash camera than trash audio and a good camera. Your friend should do themselves a favour and get something from the Elgato Neo line, or perhaps a Facecam Mk2/Facecam Pro if they have a bit more to spend. If dead set on a mirrorless setup (and I hope you’re doing more than streaming with it!) then a used Sony (a5100/6100/6400/6700) is actually a decent option. And if you buy used, you could probably get a nice Sigma f1.4 lense (for that pro-YouTuber Depth of Field look) + the necessary additional kit for it (I.e., capture card) for less than spending the 2k budget on a camera body alone! Regardless of your friend’s camera setup: DO NOT CHEAP OUT ON LIGHTING. Lighting will matter as much (or more so) than the camera you choose! Then grab yourself an audio interface like a Scarlett + an SM57/58 and learn a little about voice mixing.
r/Twitch • Which camera is the best for streaming? ->I’ve tried webcams from a variety of manufacturers. Out of all of them, I’d say that Insta360 has the best out-of-the-box image quality. However, last I checked, their Mac software is fairly bloated and buggy. Maybe things have changed. These days, I use an Elgato Facecam Pro. The picture is still very good, especially in low light, and the software is solid. The only issue (which may not be an issue at all) is that none of their webcams have microphones, so you’ll need to provide your own. I’m not a fan of Logitech’s software at all (for their webcams, mice, keyboards, etc.) because they keep finding ways of adding more bloat. Their cameras are fine, though. Stuff like portrait mode, etc. should be supported just fine no matter what you get. Anyway, if you don’t mind the lack of mic, I’d recommend Elgato. The standard Facecam Mk.2 should be great. I don’t think the Pro is worth double the price ($299 vs. $149) especially if you’re only going to be using it for Zoom meetings. Last but not least, if you want to have nice professional-looking calls, considering leaving some room in your budget for lighting. IMO, lower-quality webcam + decent lighting will beat higher-quality webcam + shitty lighting 100% of the time.
r/mac • Webcams for Mac (Mini) ->There are several quality webcams that look as good as regular cameras these days. Elgato Facecam Pro and Facecam MK2. Osbots line of cameras. Insta 360s line of cameras. And on a budget, even the EMEET 4K camera. I was using a Canon SL2's and moved to Elgato cameras and the quality is good with zero complaints from viewers. And the software for webcams is easier and faster to make adjustments on than it is for DSLR/Mirrorless cameras in many cases. So, I'd say if you're mostly filming from your deck or some stationary situation, a high quality webcam will more than take care of your needs.
r/PartneredYoutube • Are webcams worth it? ->I have the elgato face cam pro and I can tell you it's a beast of a camera. It's definitely much better quality than any other webcam on the market. It's nearly DSLR quality if set right. Though I will say make sure you have the PC horsepower to run it. Uses anywhere from 4 to 8gigs of ram just to use and requires a usb 3.1. Terms of quality though it's unmatched at the price.
r/streaming • I need help finding a good webcam to choose ->Elgato face cam pro is best webcam on the market and one of the few doing true 1080p 60 or 4k 30fps. It's a beast of a webcam and uses Sony Starbis is sensors. Better quality than both obsbot and insta360 but those would be good if you move around and need the following features they have.
r/streaming • best smoothest 60fps webcam? ->I use the Elgato Facecam Pro and it did have a little weird color straight out of the box. The auto white balance was the culprit and once I turned that off it looks incredible. I’d recommend downloading Elgato’s Camera Hub and adjusting settings within that. No camera is going to be perfect straight out of the box for all setups. To utilize it across multiple computers all you would need to do is to download that software and set the settings once on each machine, after that it would retain your settings each time you plug in.
r/Twitch • My Elgato Facecam Pro is not good :( ->Elgato facecam pro with good lighting
r/homeoffice • What's your personal choice for a webcam? ->I would recommend the insta360 link. Even if it's the version one. Really great camera with really great quality easy to use and will outperform any of those for around the same price. But if you want a camera that will let you stream at 4K 60. Then the elgato FaceCam pro is only webcam that allows that. Otherwise you'll have to get like a Dlsr. Now with the other cameras they do 30 frames at 4K. But that's only for your webcam your stream itself will be able to be at 4K 60.
r/Twitch • Which face cam should I get as a beginner streamer? ->Best webcam out there is probably the elgato face cam pro. It’s expensive though. The c920 is also a good option for the price but it's video quality is not as good as the elgato.
r/WorkAdvice • Best webcam for streaming and zoom ->I used the elgato pro and it works great.
r/Twitch • Any recommendations for a streaming camera? ->
