First, if it’s a corporate laptop find out what Webcamera software is permitted to install, that may make the choice for you. Generally speaking the microphones in webcams are fairly bad. There are a few that work better than others, you’d have to do some trial and error to see what works for you and your environment. That said, I recently replaced my Lumina 4k webcam with an Insta360 Link 2c and have been really impressed with it. The image quality, build quality, AI enhancement, and easy to use software. The microphone is above average too. With any webcam, having decent lighting is going to help a lot. Also consider placement of the webcam. Setting the webcam right on top of your monitor is the general default, unless you have a very tiny monitor or sit up really high, it’s not an optimal or flattering place. I place my webcam almost in the center of my screen, where I am looking directly into the camera and making eye contact with the people I am on the video call with. I’ve heard good things about Ozbot web cameras. The Razer ones are supposed to have a really good camera sensor, but their software makes them a no go for me. The Anker webcams I’ve also heard good things about, but evidently they really need a bright lighting setup. When the question about webcams or other peripherals comes up, the answer is almost never Logitech.

Insta360 Link 2c or the OBSbot. Both output up to 4k30 which is fine for most YT videos. I will say though, quality audio is more important than quality video. Just because you have a Blue Yeti and a 4k webcam doesn’t mean people will stick around for your content if the video looks great but the audio is shit.

Insta360 Link 2c. Excellent webcam in low light.

If you don't have an iPhone, I can recommend Insta360 Link 2C. Image quality is great in low-ish light and the software is compatible with Mac

Hi, I have almost two years the Insta360 for homeoffice, online teaching and to record some Insta and promotional videos (Google Hangouts, Zoom, Teams) with a Mac Book Pro M1 Pro and a Mac Book Pro M4 Pro: 1. No lag 2. Not needed (tested with Zoom and Teams) 3. Yes, 100% recognition with all 4. There are a couple of settings (auto gestures) I cannot save by default on the Insta app and really annoys me because when I rise my arms or other gestures, I don't want to do nothing. To me is currently the only less good issue. All the other settings for Zoom/Teams, if they are setting at that app level, no issues. 5. It's all time connected to a 32' Dell Ultrasharp U3223qe integrated dock and I hadn't any issue.

For full time working, people will appreciate good audio and a good image. I haven't had any problems with theinsta360 Link 2C. Well worth it, and the microphone audio quality isn't bad honestly.

I tried the Elgato Facecam MK.2, OBSBOT Meet 2 and Insta360 Link 2C. I decided to keep the Link 2C because it looks best imo.

I’ve been trying to figure this out myself. There are so many opinions out there but I wanted something a bit more concrete, so I ended up buying 30 webcams (I’m serious 😂) and tested them all myself. For around the $150 mark I’d probably recommend the OBSBOT Meet 2 - I was genuinely impressed with how it looked right out of the box. You could also consider the Insta360 Link 2C or the Tiny 2 Lite if you want a gimbal (not really that useful for my needs tho). I like the Logitech C920 when I was starting out. Currently have the 2017 version of the Logitech BRIO, would never recommend that due to it's image quality and settings that you can't adjust unless you want the camera to be lagging. Currently working on the Insta360 Link2C due to a recent RandomFrankP vid. Another option you can try is using a Canon camera, my buddy is using a Rebel T7 with canon's webcam software, best quality I've seen.

Insta link 2 or 2c 120 def better than c920 and razer kiyo by atleast 2x idk about the neo that was mentioned previously

I recently got one for a really good deal on Amazon prime day, called Link 2C. It's a really good webcam for everything. As for the web cam tracking, I don't have an iPhone but I agree with the other redditors that the webcam can be a higher drain on your CPU, and it's dependent on your software. I use Linux and man is it difficult to find a good face tracking software. I use openseeface lol

Insta 360 Link 2C does work; just not as a camera. It works as a microphone.

My first webcam was a cheap ish one from Amazon that lasted me about a year. Then I upgraded to a simple Logitech c922 pro for 1-2 years. Now I use the Insta360 Link webcam & have a Sony a6400 on hand as well. I moved my Logitech c922 to be a secondary angle cam. For lighting, I bought a 60ish dollar ring light on Amazon and have my webcam attached to it. I attach them to my desk w/ an arm. My goal in the beginning of my streaming journey was to spend as little money on equipment as possible and see what could still produce an okay quality. Lighting is KEYYY.

If you want an awesome cam for a little more check out the insta360 link or the link 2 can be got for not much more and has full pan , tilt and zoom does 4k well too

I think the 4k insta360 web cams look better and don't have to deal with crappy Corsair/elgato software. But mirror less would be a good choice if money isn't an issue.

If you want top quality and easy setup, these are solid options: Insta360 Link — great quality, clips on easily, has auto-tracking. Elgato Facecam Pro — sharp image, big sensor, simple plug-and-play. iContact Camera — excellent image, built for natural eye contact, quick to set up and take down. Since you already have good lighting, any of these will look great. All can be set up in under a minute and don’t need to stay permanently mounted.

The original ⁠Insta360 Link does not work either.

I tried my Logitech Brio 4K and my Insta360 Link. Both showed up as “Camera connected” and “Now using USB Mic,” but neither shows as connected when you test them. Anyone have any ideas?

I went with Insta360 link, its an incredible webcam its around 170 dollars, its near DLRS quality.

I've had the Insta360 Link since it came out... pretty much near DSLR quality. The tracking feature is cool if you have props to show or walk around a bit, but yeah as someone else said I don't use it as much as I thought I would.

I would recommend the insta360 link. Even if it's the version one. Really great camera with really great quality easy to use and will outperform any of those for around the same price. But if you want a camera that will let you stream at 4K 60. Then the elgato FaceCam pro is only webcam that allows that. Otherwise you'll have to get like a Dlsr. Now with the other cameras they do 30 frames at 4K. But that's only for your webcam your stream itself will be able to be at 4K 60.

+1 for the Insta 360 or Obsbot Tiny 2. I have the Insta on my setup and wife has the Obsbot and both do a fantastic job.
