Something I don't see mentioned often is the Insta 360 Link. Hasn't gone wrong for me at all and it's versatile/fun, even when used as a webcam
I like how it looks personally, retains quality and fps no problem bright or not. I've turned off lights a few times during thunderstorms to get some cool illuminations lol
Blackmagic Microstudio G2 GoPros suck. Phones get their batteries destroyed. DSLRs overheat. Webcams in general are too limited utility. Insta Link 360 is a decent PTZ webcam tho.
cons are minimal, it is somewhat fragile due to it being PTZ, and the base id say is not of the best design, because it kinda sucks if you want to install the camera upside down. It requires its own app for controls, so i am not sure if this camera will work with linux (may be it can, i did not bother to check it yet) Other than that it is a great webcam. You can also use multiple of them for extra swag i also got one those stolen from me, kinda still upset about this :(
We used those on raves to film djs and dancerfloors, so i guess it is not THAT fragile. You may check Insta's static cams, they should be good. PTZ ones are REALY good.
Insta Link 360 We run an entire DJ podcast studio on those.
The insta 360 Link is really really hard to beat. And if you have a physical whiteboard that you want to share, then I think the link is top of the food chain.
it actually works really good, this is the camera I use. Like pretty much all web cams, I'd turn off the auto focus and manually focus it though and manually adjust any of the other settings to your liking.
I use the instalink360 and it’s awesome. I think they have a newer version now and I’m not sure on the price point for that one. The camera has 4K, AI tracking and you can also flip it with the software so it’s vertical
https://www.amazon.com/insta360-Link-Noise-Canceling-Microphones-Specialized/dp/B0B826KS4B?ref_=ast_sto_dp I do see now that this one is higher than your budget. I apologize! I could have sworn I saw it down to like 140 at one point, but maybe I’m tripping. It is a very good camera though!
Within that particular budget, I'd be looking/shopping in the high-end webcam space (eg. Insta360 Link 2). Those cameras are definitely going to be better than a Poly R30. I have a Link (v1) at home - bought it on the recommendation of some youtubers - it's nearly production-grade 4K. I've been disappointed in Logitech's conference equipment as of late. Very underwhelming quality given the price. Haven't seen the R30 but we had a bunch of rally bars and I feel it's a $79 webcam underneath the hood. I agree with what many others are saying though - you want to look at getting a proper, purpose-built conference camera/bar system (eg Neat). Neat has crazy-good audio and video. Hardware aside - it will be a big upgrade on the software side too - having a proper room system. Conference room PCs are flinstones tech in comparison.
If you want an awesome cam for a little more check out the insta360 link or the link 2 can be got for not much more and has full pan , tilt and zoom does 4k well too
I think the 4k insta360 web cams look better and don't have to deal with crappy Corsair/elgato software. But mirror less would be a good choice if money isn't an issue.
