"Update 2: PureVideo mode 8K is the way to go for indoor medium to low light. Definitely low sharpness for every lighting level for me going forward."
"it absolutely destroys GoPro in low light. ... If you plan to record at night, Ace Pro/Ace Pro 2 is the way."

tried a brio 501 on the top usb c port and worked just fine in settings.
I use a logitech Brio 4K, which is great. But would nevertheless recommend the Brio 500. Which performs similar but costs a lot less
Brio 505. Great with my Macs
I was happy with a c920 for a couple years, was able to get a brio 500 from work and I was shocked at the improvement. Resolutions about the same, but low light and backlight performance was much better. I used to have to fight with the exposure in the afternoons, now I can pretty much leave it as is all day long and not worry about overexposure or backlight.
Continuity Camera is honestly one of the best “free upgrades” if you already have an iPhone, the image quality easily beats most webcams. The only downside is the hassle of setting it up each time or not being able to use your phone mid-call. If you want something that’s always ready to go, grab a decent webcam like the Logitech Brio 500 or Anker C300. And if you want to look even cleaner on camera, try a filtering app like Filteronme - it gives your video that pro lighting and smooth tone vibe automatically.
Id go with the Logitech Brio 505. It’s around $130 right now, the video quality is crisp, the built-in microphone sounds clear, and it clips easily onto your monitor for a clean setup. You can find some good options [in this thread](https://www.reddit.com/user/LegitimateReveal510/comments/1oece90/the_best_webcams/)
Brio 500 or c922. Used both as a streamer. Looks better quality then my Sony A6400
I have the Brio 500 and so far love it. I'm light-sensitive and tend to stream in fairly low light conditions (multiple lights, just set low) - it handles that beautifully.
