I have a C920 but that’s intricately connected to my home office setup. I have a spare Logitech C270, which I will try tonight and report back.
I literally just now got into the settings and tried it - it works
I didn’t notice any lag, but it’s also very difficult to notice in a game like Mario Kart World - you don’t really keep an eye on the camera when playing. My main criticism would be that image quality is not good, since this is a relatively older 720p camera. But again, I do not think that’s really important in practice; you are not using GameChat for a Zoom interview.
Logitech C270 is great. However, if you're worried about the cost, you could always tell your mentor, and they can refer you to the correct services – I know some people have gotten laptops, webcams, etc. if they're unable to finance it on their own.
With that budget the best webcam to get is the Logitech C270. This has been our workhorse during pandemic and up until now gamit parin ng kids ko.. I have 3 of these. For the price, you really can’t go wrong — it’s simple, durable, has good video quality, and comes with a very good built-in mic that picks up voice clearly.
Honestly, you don’t even *need* a camera to start streaming. If you’ve got a smartphone that’s no more than 3–4 years old, you’re good. Just grab an app like DroidCam or OBS Camera and boom...your phone becomes your webcam. The quality is usually way better than cheap webcams anyway. But if you’d rather not mess with your phone and want a dedicated cam, there are a few budget-friendly ones worth checking out: Logitech C270 is a solid choice. 720p, decent quality, and usually around €25. Microsoft LifeCam HD-3000 is another option, also 720p and pretty reliable. If you’re pushing the full €50, the Creative Live! Cam Sync 1080p gives you that full HD look and has pretty good built-in mics too. Whichever route you go, just know lighting makes a *huge* difference. Even a basic lamp pointed at your face can level things up big time.
If you are fine with 720p streaming then, C270. Sadly there are no privacy shutter options.
Logitech C270. Cheap, built-in mic, plug-and-play. Honestly hard to beat for the price.
Logitech C270 HD is plenty to start with.
the upgrade of the brio over the c720 is def worth the 7 dollars. especially with bigger screens, 1080p is the new minimum.
