OK. I've been using a C920e and I've seen some people complaining about the 920. I thought it was fine, but it's making me nervous that it's not fine. I'm not sensitive to 60 fps vs 30 or whatever. So, it's hard for me to tell if it's an issue.

I use a Logitech C-925e camera to stream directly from my Xbox and don’t have any issues, I wish I had a Logitech brio though for better quality but the one I have isn’t bad.

I have Logitech C925e and it is not bad but I found a old smartphone on my shelf so I don't care about the battery and the quality is much better. :)

I picked up a logitech c920e a few days ago and its been pretty solid so far. The cam software does have a low lighting toggle that ive been using and it actually does a pretty nice job of balancing the lighting

Look into the nexigo series, super affordable great quality, I personally have a nexigo N60 cam, it replaced the c920 cam I bought under advice and ended up hating. If you’d like a comparison my twitch name is the same as this username and my recent vods show me using both the nexigo N60 (facecam) + the c920 as my desk cam to see for yourself and make an informed decision (: best of luck on your cam journey!

I use the C920x (i think?) It does a good job. Idk what "low budget" is for you but webcams are pretty good for a low budget.

I'm having nothing but problems with my C920X. Freezes with Instant Messenger (FB) and all the tests I run do the same thing. Seems like it's a driver issue. Not sure I'd recommend it...in fact I'm sending mine back to Amazon.

I have to disagree. Just installed my new Logitech C920X and it freezes on every test and on Instant Messenger. Pretty sure it's a driver issue. Running Win 10. Not what I expected from Logitech...should be a simple plug and play.

FWIW I don't stream but I figured that this would be a good place to ask. I just don't want to look like a blurry, out of focus, overblown, low dynamic range, fisheyed, mess when video calling my mum. For years I've been using an iPhone 5 as a webcam and the only reason I'm looking to change it is because the battery looks like an overstuffed pillow and having to turn it on every time is a pain in the ass. I've tried a few webcams, including the c920, and they ALL look like shit. I'm not expecting DSLR quality but surely something must exist for a reasonable price that's better than a phone camera from over a decade ago.

I got the C920, works well for me. It does like lighting in the room, or AITrack gets upset. But AITrack also gets upset if I change the resolution from the default 640×480 or refresh rate other then the default 30, so that's probably mostly/more my setup.

Look, here's the thing. If he is just getting started, find one of those amazon packs that has a USB mic and boom arm. Grab him a Logitech C920x camera. You can pick that up for around $110 Its a good starter to see if streaming is something he actually wants to pursue without breaking the bank. You don't need to spend stupid amounts of money right from the get go.

Logitech Brio Webcam $140 vs Logitech C920x Webcam ($70) I have both and the c920x is a good camera for the price. Or you can try this for turning your phone into a webcam. - [https://iriun.com/](https://iriun.com/)

C920 is an extremely popular webcam option for tracking. The camera doesn't matter all that much as long as the picture is relatively clear. The biggest thing with webcam tracking is the lighting on your face--if you're only using lighting from behind you, the light from your monitor will be inconsistent and throw off the face tracking. In general you want a setup that casts steady light over your face + has as few shadows as possible, since shadows will also goof up the tracking. Two lights on either side of the monitor help tremendously with this.

All my cams are about 20 buck no name ones and they work just fine. People really dont care about the video quality that much. Avoid the logitec 270. The logitec 920 is common and decent.

Elgato and Razer will cost a bit more because of their name. I went from a logitech C920x ($70) to an Anker PowerConf C200 ($50) and have been happier with it. The most important thing you can do is get your lighting set up right and consistent.

I had the c920 prior and it always went out of focus. Recently bought this one and when it does go out of focus, it auto focuses so much better and faster than the other. I’m happy with it as a cost-effective option.

It works great for me! I have both the 922 and 920. The 922 has better auto focus and light balance than the 920. The image quality is a little better too but not that noticeable.
