Theres a reason why theyre expensive, they just work. Get a logi. I just grabbed the streamcam for an office webcam and it works great. Mics good too if youre in a quiet area.

I have used and tested GoPro, DSLR (60D, 5DMark III), Mirrorless (Sony ZV-E10, Canon M200), Logitech (C270, C920, StreamCam, Brio 4K), and I also have tested iPhone 13 Pro using "Continuity camera". The big question is: why aren't the camera companies putting really good sensors and lenses in standalone webcams? Why we still don't have webcams using sensors of rear smartphone cameras?

I have the Logitech streamcam. It’s a very good cam and mic combo with USB-C. I don’t stream, I use it only for calls.

I picked up a refurbished Logitech Streamcam on Amazon and it's worked great for AItrack pumping in to openTrack.

c920 have always been the good ol' stream cam because it was cheap and decent quality at the time, but you have to keep in mind it's still a 30fps cam, which makes her qualities fade away in the current age of streaming. If you're on a budget, probably you can do is something like a Razer Kiyo, and stepping it up without going too high in price is something like a Logitech Streamcam or OBSBOT Meet. From here, the best you can do if price isn't a problem is having an actual camera and a capture card like Cam Link 4k others mentioned here (Canon cameras can actually work as webcams without capture card, which is nice if you want to save some money).

I use AI track and open track. Open track gives way better control over settings than CIG has ingame. Camera is a Logitech stream cam, set to 640x480@60fps. Works like a charm. No stutter, no tracking issues (after using AI track and open track, before with CIG settings, every time)

Hai! I've been looking for a good value stream camera (not webcam) for a mid-range price point (around 600 AUD, 350-400 USD), that's also good enough quality to use for YouTube content creation, but all I can really find are top of the line film cameras that are way overkill for what I want to do, or budget webcams that are worse than what I'm using right now (a Logitech streamcam). Does anybody have any suggestions for a camera that meets this criteria, not super picky on whether it's dlsr or not :>

I use a c920 as my second camera when I'm streaming LEGO builds and it's great :) (I use a Logitech StreamCam as my main camera, which I'm also very happy with)

I like the streamcan. Just get some decent lights and you are good to go. Logitune app is easy to use to adjust things.

I've used the Logitech Brio 4k for a long time. To me it has been great for a webcam. The best quality would be to use a DSLR camera and a capture card. But if you don't have a camera laying around to use, the Brio would be a good choice. I have also used the Logitech StreamCam and Elgato Facecam. The Facecam really disappointed me with its quality compared to the Brio. Streamcam would be a good choice if it was like $60.

Honestly, get the Logitech Streamcam and you won't regret it. I got one off Amazon for 80 quid, and the quality is superb for sub-100 price tag. It can do 1080p at 60fps which is not common among cams below the 100 quid price tag.

If budget is not a issue I’d recommend Logitech stream camera. It’s got automatic stability and can be in landscape or portrait mode depending on what you are streaming on. Much better quality than the basic logitechs.

Honestly the stream cam is a very solid starter / high mid camera from my research. If she is just starting it’s way better to put a little into it then save up down the road. I started with no camera, then got an Amazon cheap one while I saved for a better one.

I grabbed a Logitech Streamcam and never looked back. I’ve had it for quite a few years now, still works like it’s the first day.

Logitech C920 is a good entry level webcam which can do 720p/60fps or 1080p/30fps. If you want 1080p/60fps, consider the Logitech Stream Cam. But make sure you leave room in your budget for a ring light. Dropping $20 on lighting can REALLY elevate even the worst camera

No it is the one pointed at me. It has a really wide FOV but I trim it down and shape it to fit my OBS layout. I would not recommend the internal mic on it though.

I noticed a huge difference in clarity moving from 30 to 60. I have the Logitech StreamCam capable of 1080p 60fps and have demoted the C922 to being a cat cam 🙃

Yo +1 Also use a streamcam at 60fps and love it NO I don’t wear no funky hats.. NO I don’t wear no funky gadgets.. NO I won’t wear no weird QR code on my face.. NO hell no, I’m not buying any of the expensive paid versions. It works and works wonderfully well once you take the time to set proper end stops, curves, and dead zones.. Also set up stuff like shrinking the FOV so it only see’s your face (which can help reduce outside interference) So yeah.. OpenTrack for life

I have a Logitech HD 1080p webcam. Works great on Xbox and PC. I use it between work and streaming. Not the best but honestly does the job if you have the right lighting
