There is a crap ton of light in the room, I bought the Emeet Nova 4K, advertised as 4K on Amazon, just plugged it in, its garbage sending it back. The OBSBOT Tail Air was nice but expensive for the SRT wireless not working well, so returned it, any recomendations on next camera to try? I was using my iPhone I liked using my iPhone 4K but the app to send the signal is crap, but not I have USB I could try to usb cam it?

I tested a Tail Air for a little bit for video production, and am waiting on a Tail 2 (both 4k) to test as well. I haven't played around with their 1080p offerings, but almost everything else I use is in more in the Sony prosumer range. One thing I want to stress is that OBSBOT cameras are good, but only as good as your lighting. [This video](https://youtu.be/kW6JZnCka00?t=86) talks about these cameras, but also has a short section that shows how much better (or worse) the picture can look depending on the lighting. For 4k vs 1080, the main differences will come in how much flexibility you may want in making your video. A good example would be if you are looking to have different gimbal presets that involve zoom, as all (current) OBSBOT cameras only have digital zoom, which is mostly just cropping the sensor and enlarging it; if you have a 4k camera but are only looking for a 1080p video, then you can digital zoom in 2x and still have more data coming in than you need for the view. Another thing that _might_ be relevant for you is with the sensor size. Some of their cameras use 1/1.5" sensors, while others use 1/2.8" sensors. There's a graphic [here](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image_sensor_format) that somewhat shows the difference physically, but you can think of it more as the surface area of each pixel to absorb photons: smaller sensor, higher resolution, and lower lighting each reduce the number of photons that reach each individual pixel, and thus how accurate/sensitive each pixel is to differing levels of light. Honestly, everything in the paragraphs above more depends on what you are looking to produce. Anything you get here will work for reference purposes, so it really just comes down to what kind of quality you want to have. And that question also affects your microphone choice. You might also want to consider possibly going cheaper for the cameras, and having two: so that you can switch between a higher, close shot focusing on fingerings gimballing to top-down information, and a lower, further shot focusing on conversation and instructional content. I'll go back to the lighting side of things, though - even when I've worked with more-expensive dedicated cameras, the cheaper lighting side of things always has a greater effect on quality than the specific camera that I used.

Seeing the model you come from, I would tell you to buy more equipment to have more mobility options not depending only on that support you have on the pc, it is not bad camera and worth investing in accessories If you plan to upgrade, I would look without doubt from my experience, OBSbot devices, they work really well and allow you to really take advantage of their initial cost If you were coming from a lower model I would tell you to look at something like the OBSbot Tiny 2 to start, but as it is not your case, I recommend you look at the OBSbot Tail Air, or the new model OBSbot Tail Air 2 I would completely discard Logitech, Razer and similar, value what they cost and what they offer you in terms of mobility, integration and functionality

Yeah to go on what you're saying, start out with just basic equipment and feel it out. Also the XLR mics and stuff are nice but start out with a USB mic because with filters in OBS it can sound amazing. Camera wise There is the OBSBOT 4k camera which is honestly amazing value for money.

I use both the OBSBOT 4k and Insta360 4k and both are great. Getting some basic lighting set up will go along way as well.

The Insta360 I use at work in my office which I keep on the dim side and it still looks great. I use the OBSBOT at home in my music studio which I film in dark but with a key light on my face and it works great.
