The picture is a bit blown irrespective of lighting - even with its own ring light off in a room that is not super brightly lit, the hot spots on my chin and cheeks are usually saturated. It can light adjust, but it seems to always set itself up so that the hotspots on the face are blown. With that being said, it works well in moderate light and excellently with an added room light (I use a torchiere type light that is placed behind the screens). With the image softening/enhancing turned on from Zoom or Teams, it's downright excellent.
