Let's take a look at the Table of Hardware: [https://openwrt.org/toh/linksys/ea8300](https://openwrt.org/toh/linksys/ea8300) EA8300 runs on a quad-core Qualcomm IPQ4019 processor at 717 MHz. This is roughly the same level of processing power as Sophos 105 (it's got a dual-core Intel Atom running at about 1.4 GHz), which is an entry-level commercial-grade device. Next, memory and storage. Both are 256 MB. On a small network such as yours, this is adequate. For comparison, Sophos 105 has 2 GB RAM, but it's intended to service 20-30 devices in a commercial setting (as in, there's a human user behind each device). FYI, the primary use of RAM in basic networking is the state table, which stores data about active connections to the outside world. Generally, the amount of memory needed for the state table increases with the number of devices and the intensity of Internet use (in terms of the number of simultaneously open connections) per device. The documentation for AdGuard Home on OpenWrt: [https://openwrt.org/docs/guide-user/services/dns/adguard-home](https://openwrt.org/docs/guide-user/services/dns/adguard-home) suggests you need about 100 MB of storage to run AdGuard Home, so you should be good with 256 MB onboard. I have an EA8100 v2 sitting around. It's a much weaker device processor-wise (dual-core at 880 MHz), but I ran a bidirectional `iperf3` test on it and got 930 Mbps up and 860 Mbps down. So I would say, the EA8300 should work fine in the setting you described.
