"I can basically always trust my X40 to finish a midnight cleaning session in the dark and wake up to find it sitting in its dock and have clean floors in the morning."

"I think its hands down the best all around option right now, especially once you hook it up to the water line and drain, i run it daily in our house and we got rid of our cleaning help because of it."

"significantly worse object avoidance than than the Dreame x40 and L40 ... The best feature of the L40/X40/p10 pro ultra is that they have class leading object avoidance so you don't have to pick up your cat's toys or prep your house every time you want to run the robot meaning you can run it on a daily schedule which will keep your house cleaner. ... I run my X40s daily and they never get stuck on cables, cat toys and other random junk that ends up on the floor."

"It has poles always attached and sets up like an easy up. ... Realistically I have it up in less than 5 minutes even with the kids helping and then we can play. ... I learned the most important factor to look at is easy. Not what's the best or the most sturdy. Nope what's quick and easy that way you actually use it."

"Goes up super fast"

"it’s a game changer because it opens up like an umbrella, so one person can set the tent by themselves in minutes."

"Unifi provide the most stable wifi network for IoT of all the AP on the market, even with one VLAN, even in mesh configuration. ... I have +200 IoT devices in my home from Apple, Switchbot, Aqara, Logitech, Eufy, Hue, Govee, and numerous exotic brands. I have been through hell with solutions from Apple, Orbi, Peplink, Meraki, Eero, Huawei and many many more. And only since I am rocking on Unifi I can open my Apple Home app with not a single device error !"

"I have over 60 devices connected to it, and have ZERO issues."

"Finally, nothing drops, everything is fast and solid, the devices themselves are now the bottleneck."

"with a big house we always had issues with coverage before that's non-existent now"

"Actually better than a range extender, as Mesh systems are designed from the ground up to work with each other in the system. ... But it's half ass "patched up" jerky jerky mesh was no match to a Deco. Deco was snappier, more reliable, and longer range."

"The coverage is excellent. I have a 2 storey 175sqm house and it covers almost everything."

"I've been enjoying 300mbps in every room"

"Backhaul is rock solid and fast"

"I also max out my gigabit thru wifi, anywhere in the house with just 1 satellite. And it's not a small house."

"Orbi’s pos firmware updates ... years of doggy updates ... bad firmware problems ... bad firmware updates take down my home and some other family homes I supported back then ... Their terrible firmware releases are well documented."

"It runs hot, needs rebooting nightly or it starts slowing down"

"currently using tp link ax3000 (which started to give me issues recently) ... currently using tp link ax3000 and im changing it cz it has started to give me issues, it randomly reboots"

"Avoid Netgear at all costs. They appear to be incapable of getting the firmware right for their WiFi 7 units. ... I got an Orbi 770 and gave up. I went back to Eero with the Pro 7. Back to stable WiFi."

"after a few weeks of running it has the appearance there's some drops in connectivity and a reboot of all the mesh is needed to clear up the network issues."

"My dad had an Orbi system, which was actually rather good, but they tend to have rather short end-of-life periods which means they no longer get security updates and also stuff like parental controls are subscription based."

"Avant j’avais les Orbi de Netgeat et j’étais assez déçu au regard du prix que j’avais payé et des rares options disponible"

"It costs as much as unifi and other prosumer stuff but does have prosumer / home networking enthusiasts features. ... Want to Vlan tag some wifi clients? Not on orbi. ... Want real switching equipment in the mix with your wifi? Not with orbi. ... Want an ecosystem of access points that can properly cover a large home _and_ outdoor living spaces with recent WiFi standards that will work with the latest indoor units? Not with orbi. ... Want to have grouped firewall rules? IPS/Ids? Not on orbi. ... Want full features even if it’s not the top most router in your topology? Not with orbi. Shit gets real dumb when it’s not in ap mesh only mode."

I love the Synology management features but I have found their range and signal strength is horrible compared to other mesh systems and I have a lot of hiccups with Apple devices that I didn’t have on the Orbi. I just didn’t like paying for parental controls so I switched. Now that my kids are older, I’m considering going back to Orbi or trying out Eero.

I’ve used the Orbi for the last 1.5 years and it seems to be working great. Not a cheap system but definitely provides the coverage you need in all corners of the house. 2800sq ft with zero dead spots from basement to floor 2 and even garage as well as outside use and driveway area.

The wireless backhaul is nothing to sniff at on the better domestic mesh systems. I've got a higher end orbi system, and move an absolute boatload of data around, with more than 50 attached devices on the network, and it holds up very, very well. Your average home user will be well served by a Deco mesh.

If you have a house that you are struggling to cover wifi with, a mesh system is recommended as you'll be placing several "routers" around the house that work together to give you the best signal. Obviously they work best when these mesh points are connected with a cable back haul, however they work well with wifi backhaul as well. If money is no object then the Orbi mesh system is the best which provide you with the best speeds around. The TP Link Deco mesh systems also provide good speeds at a much lower cost, so that would be my go to. All of these mesh systems are managed via an app that you can download on your phone or tablet.

I would recommend a wireless mesh system. I had Orbi in a 2400 sq ft 3 level home (1 router, 2 satellite units) and Eero in a 2 story 3100 sq ft home (1 router, 1 satellite unit).

We have a Netgear Orbi mesh system in our house with the router downstairs on one side of the house and the satellite upstairs on the other side. We have a full-strength wi-fi signal throughout the house.
