Based on 1 year's data from Feb 24, 2026 How it works
I don't know where in the Balkans you live but if you can get the puppis s1 lite from another eu amazon it should work ( enough for pcvr due to how restricted the 5ghz channels in europe) I remember to check for 5ghz congestion where you live, unfortunately for me I live in a flat in the city center so it's pretty congested and 6ghz also very restricted. I ended buying a USB C to Ethernet adapter and attach it to the side of the quest 3 and connect it with a long ethernet cable to the pc (I use ics to share the internet to the headset), and it's the best experience so far with VD H.264+ 500Mpbs , better than my puppis

I picked up a PrismXR puppis s1 lite recently and it works very well for PCVR. I am in the same room as the router and would recommend doing that but my total round trip latency according to virtual desktop is about 30-40ms and it feels good to me
The Puppis S1 is very good. That price isn't though, mine was £69 about a year ago. If you are fine with HEVC/AV1 encoding, then the Lite is also fine to get.
Puppis S1 can do 160mhz/2400mbps (note that mbps isn't representative of what it can actually do consistently) Puppis S1 Lite works at 80mhz/1200mbps. In practice, the S1 can just about handle the full fat 500mbps of H264 that the Quest 3 can do over Virtual Desktop. This will give you the best quality as far as compression is concerned. The S1 Lite will top out around half that, making HEVC/AV1 the best option, as it will look better than H264 at lower bitrates. This is fine for games that are less sensitive to compression artefacts. If you are just doing VRChat or casual things, the Lite is fine. If you want the best quality in flight/driving sims, then you want the S1.

I'm assuming they got the Lite version, which does plug in with Ethernet.
The normal version uses USB, I'm guessing you got the Lite version which uses Ethernet. Yes you can have your PC get internet from wifi while you use this on the Ethernet port.
If you play in the same room as the PC, the best bang for buck would be the Puppis S1. It's on sale for $65 on Amazon right now but even at full price $80 you won't find a comparable router cheaper.
Get a puppis s1, $80 device that is basically a router to directly link a quest 3 to a desktop. Realistically with a properly set up codec you will not stream any more than 400mbps at 120hz, at least using virtual desktop.
I also have the prismxr puppis and it's a big improvement for me, ymmv depending on what modem you already have, traffic etc
You could save $75 and get a Puppis S1, it works fantastic, tailor made for this use case, and half the price of that router even on sale.
I would second this. I also use one of those, and it's always been fantastic. I play *tons* more SteamVR games since getting it.
I bought the Puppis S1 and it’s been flawless for the past few months since purchase. Suddenly I’m having latency issues and can’t seem to diagnose it. Previously I would have swore by the Puppis, but at a bit of a wits end.

I just bought the PrisimXR router for my PC, easier stuff for Airlink and VD to work with. Hate that I HAD to buy it, but for VR gaming, it is what it is.
