Wifi 6. It works very well! My dish is about 100 meter away and this really helped boost the WiFi reach. Very happy i got this a few months ago.

Mine is connected with an Ethernet cable and carries both 5 and 2.4 Mbps. Is yours connected wirelessly?

The Router Mini has a range of approximately 1,300 sq. ft. (120 sq. meters.) It is rated for indoor use one at an operating temperature of 32-86 F. (0-30 C.) and humidity levels of 20-89%.  The Gen 3 Mesh Router has a range of approximately 2,000 sq. ft. (185 sq. meters.)  In contrast to that: The regular Gen 3 router that comes in the Gen 3 kit has a range of approximately 3,200 sq. ft. (297 sq. meters.) The Starlink Mini’s internal router has a range of approximately 2,000 sq. ft. (112 sq. meters.)  Additional information for owners of a Starlink Mini. The Starlink Mini uses Wi-Fi 5 while the Router Mini uses Wi-Fi 6. Either of these two external routers requires its own connection to power and a connection to the dish or router in pass-through mode.

That’s because it’s obvious. It’s only $40. That’s why you’d get it over *your* preferred router. Both people who answered you told you that.  >So why get this over a GL.inet travel router that has tons of more features? It’s only $40.  A “Duh” seems appropriate here.

I have a gen 2 system and use the mini for mesh. I have it placed about half the distance from my poor signal bedroom and the router... works perfectly. Super easy install... the app just asks to connect... select yes, and you're done. The app determines which devices are better served by the mesh and connects them. For $40.00 it is a win!

Third party mesh works so much better thn the lower cost Starlink mesh. Most complaints here are with OEM mesh

Honestly starlink is the best way currently. It’s at the forefront of Wi-Fi technological development and will only get better. It will be some time before any other company get remotely near the standard.
