I would. I love my ARRIS Surfboard SBG8300 combo Wi-Fi router and modem. I like not having to pay that monthly rental for the modem. This one has been pretty solid for me. Based on owning another ARRIS Surfboard SBG several years ago, my personal opinion is you’ll have it for at least 4-5 years before you’ll need to replace it, maybe longer.

Arris Surfboard products are actually really good, solid products. Having to reboot a product regularly is not normal. Just curious... are you running both routers at the same time? As for alternatives, I'd recommend Eero if you're looking for simpler, easy to use. If you need more complexity in the configuration, then Ubiquiti. You can get a Ubiquiti Cloud Gateway and Wifi 7 AP for less than $1k. It is more expensive though. I use both Eero and Ubiquiti.
