I have a TP-Link AX6000 I can be all the way in my backyard 100 feet full WiFi bars with 2.4GHz / 5GHz I loose signal about 20 / 30 feet out .
I also have a gen 2 and am using a TP-Link AX6000. It works great from end to end of my house and in the front and back yard as well. I have had great success with every TP-Link product I’ve used.
For my home network? Bone stock TP-Link AX-6000 set to auto update at 3AM. I do this crap for a living but you don’t feel a need to complicate things in my off hours. With mesh extenders it covers my 1-acre plot pretty thoroughly. I probably log in to it at least once a year.
I have a TP-Link AX6000 and have been happy with it. I only use WiFi with virtual desktop for pcvr and streaming 4k movies in skybox. The house has a wifi 6 router that came with the modem and it can’t handle streaming large 20gb movie files when everyone is on, but having my own dedicated router next to my pc fixed that. My computers connect to the other router through WiFi for internet and wired directly to my personal router to stream to my quest. No idea what neighbors use but I’m guessing WiFi 6 is standard now.
I've been using the NX600 here in CZ for O2 Internet for the past several months. No real issues with the hardware.
No real issues like that at all. I do a weekly scheduled reboot as well.
WiFi 6 has lots of features that deal with congested networks. Very worthwhile. WiFi 6e was worthless to me as you have to very close to the router to achieve the faster speeds. WiFi 7 is still very uncommon. Get another TP- Link router with 8 big external antennas and WiFi 6 (or 6e) and you will be good for quite a while.
yoo same ISP and internet package and i got a Mesh WiFi as well. bought it off from India as the sellers here just rip you off on any networking devices. i got TP-Link Deco M4(INR 2599 = NPR 4155) via third party and paying the added customs + vat + delivery fees costed me around NPR 5200-5300 which is way cheaper than buying it here for NPR 8750-10000 each. if you are only planning on buying a single mesh router, i would advice to just get a normal router like TP-Link Archer WiFi6 instead and use it as AP mode. but if you plan on having multiple routers, get a mesh one with WiFi6.
I had the opposite experience - the TP Link 802.11AX router has a weaker signal than the Spectrum 802.11AX router. In fact it performs similar to my decade old 802.11AC router. Barely reaches the master bedroom, where the Roku now gets a “Fair” connection instead of “good” or “excellent”, and my cellphone now drops connection sometimes
The spectrum 802.11ax router actually worked better (stronger signal) than my tp link 802.11ax router
