Check tplink be600 or asus RT-BE92U There are many, check amazon

Yeah it works great, i have tested both. Only issue woth asus is they dont have a tri band extender like RE653BE from tplink.

Bro i tried placing it center of the home, i am still not getting full gig speeds, so i ordered express 7 as recommended, now set it up as wireless mesh and the speeds are not improving. Tested all different settings and placements per youtube tutorials and other forums. With tplink be600 and be10000 extender i am able to get full gig speeds on every nook and corner of the house on both floors consistently. what am i doing wrong here? Now last thing would be to open support with unifi and see if they help, else it leaves me in a pinch as i have limited time to return my test routers that i ordered for comparison and make a decision which one to keep and what not. :( P.S I have tested with both iperf and different speed test websites.

Yes i tested with MLO no MLO, every band every channel, wireless meshing makes speeds more worse than standalone UDR7. Support was really bad and I have limited time to return the tp link router and extender and asus router that i purchased. Now if they respond to me soon with a support ticket which has been escalated and give me some solution or if there is any newer OS upgrade coming up, I might keep them, else they are going back. Right now with tplink be600 and RE653BE I am able to get full gig speeds across every corner of the home. Only thing I am going to miss the unifi features and the ui that they have. But for now i think i would settle for range and performance over features! Thank you again for you help!

Update \[10-03-2025\]: Got my UDR7 and have been testing for couple of days now. For such a high price, this device has been a very poor experience. In my two-story, \~1500 sq ft home, the Dream Router 7 cannot even cover a single floor with full Wi-Fi speeds—no matter what radio band, transmit power, or channel width I configure. Performance is inconsistent, with speeds fluctuating heavily and rarely reaching what should be expected for modern Wi-Fi 7 hardware. Even when I am very close to the device, the wifi is unable to stay on consistent speeds. Moving even a little further away and down it goes in speed. After doing tons of tweaks and lots of reboot, my wired connection speeds are stable so far for last 24 hours. When I reached out to support, their AI only support's suggestion was to move my device to central location and buy an extender, which feels unacceptable for a flagship router that’s marketed as a premium all-in-one solution. At this price point, it should provide strong, reliable coverage out of the box. I have tried moving it to center, but than again not much gain or difference so far. Wifi still remains in consistent. For comparison, I’ve tested TP-Link BE600 and Asus RT-BE92U in the same exact positions at one edge of the home. While those consumer routers have weaker UIs and fewer customization options, both actually provide stronger coverage and more consistent range than this device without an extender, and tplink with extender i get full gig speeds through out every edge of the home but loose all the customization that UDR7 offers. Asus RT-BE92U provides more speed on farther range than tp-link BE600. But it does not have any tri band wifi 7 mesh extender like RE653BE. The **only redeeming factor** is the console UI and the amount of customization it offers. The interface is modern, clean, and allows advanced options that consumer models often lack. Unfortunately, none of that matters if the core job—delivering fast, stable Wi-Fi—is this unreliable. **Bottom line:** Very expensive for what it offers. The UI is good, but the wireless performance is far below expectations and even cheaper routers beat it in range and stability. Now I would need to buy an express 7 and use it for mesh and still not sure if I will be able to get full gig speeds through out the home. Then another expense would be to buy the 2.5G Ethernet switch to get all my devices connected and utilize full speeds. \[ASK\] Any tweaks or optimization suggestions which can improve the wifi concerns?

If you can run wires, then you have a lot of options. If you are only considering wireless meshing, then do not use unifi, omada or anything similar. For wireless meshing TP-Link Archer BE600 + RE653BE extender is the best performance so far, will get you the highest wifi speeds and farthest range. You can keep adding more extenders in easy mesh. Both are wifi7 with tri band. For Asus, they do not currently have standalone extenders like RE653BE. You would need to buy their full mesh setup devices. Now for features, TP-link is limited, Asus is little bit better but still very limited. If you need complete control and features like dedicated custom vlans, ssids, firwalls etc , you would have to go the hardwired route and use unifi or omada products. By default TP-Link Archer and Asus consumer devices provide only limited SSID's and now allow to create any custom ones.

My complex people are already flooding the air with the 6Ghz band. My town only has like 3 ISPs. 2 use the 5Ghz and the fastest uses the 6Ghz. I have a WiFi 7 router with the 320mhz. I use the TP-Link BE9700 Archer BE600 which is overkill for my needs.

Yeah honestly that would work just fine. Im a big propieter of MESH only because where i lived I wanted to be hardwired to the devices (pc and console) in my room and I was able to do that by having a wifi Node in my room on top of the base node (router) in the living room. That and years ago they had way better customizable options and UI on their fancy apps. For what you are trying to accomplish I think you'd be fine with the tp-link but double check you can actually just plop it in the middle of the house based off your fiber run! I use EERO, I love it, have had the same mesh for like 7 years and still running great.

Bro this sounds like a basic residential setup, if OP needed a more sophisticated setup he would have a made more "technical" post in asking. You want to recommend this guy dropping cables when he just wants his phones and tv's connected more than likely. If he owned equipment that needed more, im sure he would be aware of their requirements. You are being **hella** extra even stating "Mesh is a solution when you absolutely can't wire" 90% of homes use wifi. Mesh is a great wifi solution. **OP literally asked for suggestions** so I give a example solution that worked for me and that was and has been amazing. All of a sudden I have no technical background based off god knows what assumptions you are making, you literally offered zero context in any of your replies. You clearly have no people skills.

Really? Mine has been running flawlessly thank goodness. Speeds and range are perfect for my house. Whole house is connected and do not have any drops or slow spot in the house at all. Hope it stays that way, I lose my mind on slow wifi

Your plan is solid, that router more than capable to handle the load you stated. Are you going to drop the fiber or ethernet cable from the ceiling in the middle of the house? My concern is if not , and running the line on the floor, someone who drag their feet sooner or later will trip and pull all the equipment onto the ground & break.

If you're willing to spend $250 you should probably be looking at a wifi7 router like the TPlink be9700. Tri-band wifi7 router. Once you get devices that support it, MLO network is where it's at. My phone is connected to sometimes all 3 bands at once. Might as well futureproof if you've got $250 to burn.
