"My mom actually installed it herself with no problem. ... If you’re not familiar with networking it’s great system."
"Honestly I really like it, I have only had a few minor hiccups but the control I have is great and it was easy to set up. ... At least this way I can see what is and is not working and troubleshooting is easy. I also have a variety of controls to see who is connecting to what and I can block things easier"
"Just a no fuss system. ... Plug in, download the app, set ssid and don't worry about it anymore for years. ... Mine has been stable and working for years."

"I have 133 devices connected to my Deco BE95 system. ... everything from cameras to my dishwasher works great."
"rock-solid coverage, great for ... demanding smart setups"
"My son, my wife, my other son and myself were all playing xbox together. 2 game passes on pc and 2 xbox x's. No issues with the load on fiber cable with gigabit connection."

"Actually better than a range extender, as Mesh systems are designed from the ground up to work with each other in the system. ... But it's half ass "patched up" jerky jerky mesh was no match to a Deco. Deco was snappier, more reliable, and longer range."

"I don’t even have any WiFi 7 devices besides my two mesh nodes (be-95) and the signal is outstanding. So fast. ... Way way better over wireless backhaul than using power line connectors. ... This is over wireless backhaul!!! Wired to the satellite router for this test, but the wireless backhaul connection is across half the house (3000sf) and up one level. Insanely fast speeds."

"I needed something that's supporting 10g so for 699 totally worth it. ... If you don't need 10g support for sfp+ and 10g ethernet then you probably don't need to spend full price on it."
"go through Walmart and you'll most of the time find it on sale for less than $100 ... I picked up my 2 pack for around $80"
"The TP Link Deco mesh systems also provide good speeds at a much lower cost, so that would be my go to."

"TP Link Deco definitely requires an app and an account ... although there is a web interface, it can't do much."
"Can confirm. Have Deco. Am miserable."
"rubbish app that won't let you change settings 9 times out of 10"

"If you can’t do a wired/coax backhaul between the nodes and have an older or brick house, I can’t recommend. ... The wireless bridge between access points is pretty horrible even like 20-30 ft from each other in my house."
"random disconnects"
"Same headaches here. I just manually restart them occasionally."

"Stay far away from routers with fans, I returned a tp-link wifi 7 router over this exact issue. ... Sfp port was so hot it was unreal. ... Try to cool your place in summer with air conditioning, you don't want some fan blowing heat. ... Also moving parts is a bad idea for longevity."

"the deco wouldn’t play nice with my existing whole house tplink gigabit switch for the wired backhaul. Even though it was the same manufacturer. I tried forever, but finally I gave up"

So I have a mostly ubiquiti network but I only have one ubiquiti AP for outside. I plan on adding more over time and phasing out my TP-Link BE33000 setup. That being said, the tp-link be33000 is a beast and I would recommend it as an alternative if ubiquiti gear is hard to source. The only reason I’m phasing my tp-link stuff out is for cohesion and wanting to control everything centrally with their apps. The TP-Link mesh system I had until now has been great in terms of speed. I have them linked together with 10gbit but I’ve had them meshing before and it always worked fine.
I have the BE95 and they are great. No issues, I run them in AP mode over wireless backhaul. I don't even have MLO turned on and I am maxing out at 2.1Gbps on my 6e and 7 devices.
I have two TP-Link Deco BE95 over wifi backhaul and they work great. I do plan on connecting them with fiber backhaul soon with a backup Cat6.
TP link deco BE65 wifi 7 or ( BE85 or 95) I had Orbi and replaced it with Deco. My house is kind of big with concrete walls and I really recommend the Deco
I have a Deco BE95 and it’s incredible. Me being on top floor of house, router in basement with the modem and a satellite on the man floor, I pull 2gbps down and 2gbps up over Wifi (MLO). Powerful CPUs and quad band make such a difference.
The three pack sounds like a perfect match to me, unless you have an oddly laid out home (and probably even then). If you are able to run an ethernet backbone, that is always best, but mesh mode should still provide really good wifi coverage. All Deco units are fully compatible, up to the individual unit's capabilities. The X50 area won't benefit from all the BE95's capabilities, but it won't downgrade the BE95 performance in any way. So yes, you can add the X50-Outdoor to a BE95 setup.
Imo, wifi 7 is current. Id jump for that for only 200 bucks more rather than buy it again later. But, thats how i roll. Short term you spend more money, long term you extend the life of your router reducing the need for a sooner upgrade. I can say, its really preference. I had a wifi 5, skipped 6 and jumped into 7. Tv no longer buffered youtube and streaming services. It acted like i had it preloaded and was running a file rather than connecting to the internet. So.... again, matter of preference. I cant say im disappointed at all. Ive got a deco 33000 2 piece mesh i got on amazon for a huge cash back on my amazon card. My son, my wife, my other son and myself were all playing xbox together. 2 game passes on pc and 2 xbox x's. No issues with the load on fiber cable with gigabit connection. Consider the load youll be putting on it. Thats the biggest question, and the financial cost savings if its a reputable device.
I got a deco mesh solely because gaming sucked at home. I got the BE95. It has worked really well for me so far, no complaints. My setup is the following: I live in a condo where the main router is in the master bedroom, and my gaming room is on the opposite side of the condo. There is no ethernet option there, and the wifi would get to that room relatively weak because of thick walls. I have my main router in the master bedroom and put a second router as a node in the gaming room, which connects via wifi to the main router. I then have my PS5 connected via ethernet to the node in the room. Gaming has been great, I have had no noticeable lag.
WiFi 7 is a true game changer. The biggest leap forward in wireless tech in the last decade, easily. I don’t even have any WiFi 7 devices besides my two mesh nodes (be-95) and the signal is outstanding. So fast. Way way better over wireless backhaul than using power line connectors. I could squeeze a little more speed by going wired, but I really don’t need to at this pace. https://preview.redd.it/ooafi51z5d4f1.jpeg?width=1179&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=89bf0f2bb1909533e8d066fa052d6dfe988a9d7a This is over wireless backhaul!!! Wired to the satellite router for this test, but the wireless backhaul connection is across half the house (3000sf) and up one level. Insanely fast speeds.
A little pricey but the deco BE-95 is insanely good. Wifi 7 wireless backhaul is a game-changer.
Tp Link Deco BE95 Wifi mesh network. Hard wire the subs and you will be cooking with gas
TP-Link Deco BE33000 user here - I can’t compare this to other WiFi 7 devices, but I will compare it to my previous mesh networks. I have found that Netgear Orbi seems to be easier to manage all around. If i didn’t get a steal for my Deco BE33000, I would get rid of it and buy the Orbi (still might do that). Hope that helps.
With Wifi 7, they also have quad band routers, have you thought about that? Netgear Orbi RBE973S, TP-Link Deco B95 (I have this one, it's been pretty good but overall like Orbi better), Asus ROG Rapture GT-BE98 Pro
