If you don't want to install ethernet cables in your walls, then for a 500/50 plan I would just get a cheap TP Link DECO bundle that is pretty much plug and play. No need to overthink it. Me and my friends gifted a old gaming laptop to one of my friends, but he has wifi problems his wifi is just honestly terrible and if he doesn't use ethernet he can't game at all, he has ping around 240. He now connects his laptop to his router but it's in his living room and he lives with his parents still so it's not ideal. I'm looking to help him out and get a good mesh router for him, he cannot run a ethernet cable to his room so that's out of the question. I wonder if u guys have some reccomendations of a good mesh router, i'd say my budget is around 150 euros. It can be TP link or any other brand for that matter. I currently have the TP-LINK Deco X55 in mind, would that work for games like cs2 where u can't have too many lagspikes. Appreciate it and lmk thx
we didn't do speed test but in game his ping is honestly great if he is connected to his router with ethernet, i would say around 15 average. I have a Tp link deco e4 at home wich i'm gonna let him try when i'm in town but the e4 has a lot of lagspikes for me with ethernet so doubt i will want to gift him that one
I have a single erro router in the middle of my house it supports mesh, I would like to have more coverage in the yard, quite like the tplink mesh units like. https://www.pbtech.co.nz/product/NETTPL9402/TP-Link-Deco-M4-AC1200-Dual-Band-WiFi-5-Whole-Home?qr=web-share
Ive had the Deco 4 and now Deco6e. I f'in love it! 3 pods and covers the house and property quite nicely.
I have a tp link deco mesh network, initially it was 3 nodes. I’m up to think 6 nodes now across probably 10k square feet over 2 levels. For the most part, it’s been perfect.
It’s been in about a year, I think it’s ac1200.
Same, very happy with it.
My Deco M4 has been rock solid for a very long time
I use deco pods. One on each floor, I use MoCA to use coax as the backhaul, but Ethernet is good as well.
I use Deco pods with a wired MoCA backhaul.
I've been using Deco and it's been great.
