For sure. My home has a ton of ring cameras and a ton of smart phones and laptops connected. The isp router could not keep up and would drop your connection every 5 minutes or so, so it was shit for gaming. Not to mention my home is on the larger side and more rectangular than square shaped, so tons of dead zones once you left the living room where the modem and router are set up. I eventually got fed up and dropped about $300 on a 3 pack of the Deco M9 Plus routers, it made a world of a difference and now there's nearly no dead zones in the house. My PC is wired into one of the routers, and that router is wirelessly connected to the main AP, and my ping is at near pure Ethernet speeds
Hey! The TP-Link Deco M9 Plus and Deco X20 AX1800 are both solid mesh picks. M9 is super reliable, and X20 gives you Wi-Fi 6 and great coverage for 4,000+ sq ft. I can’t reply easily on my phone’s small screen but I am also on Vodafone with a Deco system. I moved to Vodafone last month from Virgin so I set it all up recently. Very easy to put it into dumb modem mode and the landline works no problem. I also have the 910 plan and, no, I don’t really get that anywhere other than directly connected to the router but honestly it’s more than good enough at its furthest from the main deco. I have a full on smart home - hue lights and Alexa in every room, eufy cameras on WiFi, laptops, phones, firetv - all totally fine but nothing really needs wifi7 as far as I can tell. I have one deco XE75 as the main access point and M9s in every room - none of the wired. All I would say is be strategic about where they are. I hate them on display but in a cupboard or behind things doesn’t work. They’re best waist-height or above and be aware of anything metal blocking them. I actually had ChatGPT recommend the best locations for everything and it did a great job helping come up with ideas for placement. It’ll walk you through the setup as well which I found useful. Done and dusted in less than an hour.
I installed a Deco 9 mesh through a big but single story house. Excellent kit. As others said you turn off the wifi of the supplied router, plug in 1 mesh device and then add others as needed. Gives one seamless SSID and another for guests if you want. Few parental controls.
TP link deco mesh triband works great.
I have a 3000 sq ft home and tricked tplink 3 deco unitsand am disappointed with it. Numerous units drop connection and it doesn’t cover my entire house. My 5 yr old orbi system never had these issues
