I can recommend you the Turris Omnia router. It comes with openwrt. It has variety of interface, nvme storage, wifi modules or 4g and 5g wwan cards. I use it as my main router. If needed more access points I am using Turris Mox as a cheaper alternative to cover home with additional wifi. The features I like at Omnia: * btrfs system with snapshot and easy rollback * packet inspection * many recovery options * build in serial console * internal managed switch * multiple wan interfaces and auto fail over https://www.turris.cz/en
They follow the upstream of openwrt. Manage some additional package and packages related to this hardware. I have couple of turris 1.x, one turris mox and turris omnia with 5G modem. Btrfs root partition, rollbacks, snapshots, regularly updated factory image. Those are nice to have features. I did not find out any missing package or wrong package management compared to openwrt upstream. You should take a look.
Turris Omnia , you can turn off the front LED s' on it using a physical button.
I used a Turris Omnia for many years and was happy with it. They're made in Czechia. Only recently switched to a little local Swedish shop called [teklager.se](http://teklager.se) for both my Wifi AP and my Firewall with OpnSense.
I recommend the Open Source/OpenWRT based [Turris](https://www.turris.com/en/) routers from [nic.cz](http://nic.cz)
