"when LDAC is activated, the volume increases, the clarity of the vocals too, then in developer options, the transmission changes to 990kbps audio quality, the surround effect is instantly intensified ... whenever I listen, I go to the developer options, and change to audio quality up to 990kbps, the difference is felt immediately, the spatiality effect is increasing"

If you can find them for the price, Method 360 ANC. Theyre 99 bucks for a introductory price right now. Earfun Air Pro 4 and OnePlus Buds 3 and Anker Soundcore Liberty 4 NC are also good contenders.

i have enco x3i. anc is amazing. i ride train every weekend. no complain from my wife. we usually on call for 6 hours while i was on train. my voices are clear but huawei freebuds pro 4 is better. trains noise factor is higher than busy street noise. oppo enco x3i = oneplus buds 3 (same product just different name) i bought huawei for 127usd and oppo for 67usd. i have also use others such as buds fe, liberty 4 nc. not good, voices are not clear. buds fe received very high rating for phone calls in rtings.com, but imho avoid, its bad. i bought 2, believing online review are dependable. on my search for clear call, now i owns, 2x buds fe, enco x3i, liberty 4 nc, buds pro, fiio utws5, 2x huawei freebuds pro 4. (so far huawei 0 complain) 🤣

No. Soundcore do decent budget earbuds at that price, like R50i. But they do not have ANC. L3pro have the best sound bar none at that price point. Though their ANC is poor, and the battery life is not great. You'll be buying cheap no-name earbud after earbud to find a 'decent' one at that price. Honestly, i'd say Liberty 4 NC has the best ANC, battery life and other such, but they cost about the same as L3pro.

I have just got these. I changed the tips to memory foam, eq'd them in poweramp and my hiphop (flac files) has never sounded better. I put my liberty 4nc back in and the music sounds muddy and average compared to these. I am very impressed. Great bass, great separation, vocals far better, bright but not overly treble. Honestly they are a revelation, they are also comfier to wear. My only gripe is the battery life.

I was just doing this same research. For reference, I have the JBL Live Pro 2s, Soundscore Liberty 4 NCs & Bose over the ears. I just returned the Sennheiser MTW4s and using/testing the Nothing Ear (2024)s now. If you want deep base, I'd go with the new JBLs (Tour 3s) or the Nothing Ears. The Senny's didn't have the bass I wanted. Yes, they do have bass and they sound amazing, but I'm a basshead & the Nothing's deliver in spades. Same for the JBLs. I still use my Live Pro 2s regularly and they compare to the Nothing's for that full rich sub bass.

It's definitely overwhelming for sure I'm not sure what US prices are as I'm in the UK but I believe from the Soundcore range you could probably get the Liberty 4 or Liberty 4 NC within that range which would be your best options, or even the P40i OnePlus Buds 3 or 4 should be within that price range on AliExpress (get the global version) - 4s are much better however Nothing Ear A should be within that range which are a great choice if the Nothing Ear 2024 are too expensive. A more budget option from them however are the Nothing CMF Buds Plus  Those are all great options with good enough ANC

The seal/fit is the most important thing for sure. A great seal with average ANC is better than great ANC with a poor fit. I struggle with my right ear as most things just fall out, so some good buds just don't work for me and for others I've had to invest in foam/alternative eartips which helps That being said most earbuds will fit the majority of people and provide a good enough seal for adequate ANC. I think out of my list the 4NC has the best ANC by far if that's your only concern. Fit wise it's actually good on me if I'm inactive (right falls out in the gym along with most other buds however) I saw someone mention the Earfun Air Pro 4 which is also a really great choice. I think no matter what you pick out of these however they'll work well for you/your girlfriend

Soundcore Liberty 4 NC is by far the most comfortable and convenient set of earbuds I've ever worn. especially for working out. They were my gym set for 2 years without a single issue. I can recommend airpods pro 2 as well but they're quite overpriced in my eyes. I'd put the extra $170 into an IEM upgrade

There's definitely better options if you have the budget. Personally, I don't see a reason for upgrading behind the liberty 4 NC. Bluetooth buds are mainly for convenience, comfort and noise cancelling. The liberty 4 NC is perfect at all 3. If I want sound quality, I'll use my IEMS Plus, the sound quality is decent. Soundcore app feels smooth and intuitive. Good Bluetooth range and decent mic

Gonna pop in here: Do not listen to earbuds at high volumes. It’ll screw your hearing up. Focus on decent noise cancelling, it helps keep listening volumes low while maintaining clarity of sound.  If I was looking for good value I’d go with Anker (Soundcore). Specifically for bass the Liberty 4NC seem worth checking out.

Go for the Jabra Elite 8 Active Gen 2—mic crushes the Sony LinkBuds S in noisy/quiet settings, keeps your voice natural, and the fit’s comfy/secure (IP68 rating). If that’s too pricey, the Anker Liberty 4 NC is a cheaper runner-up with decent mics (stem design helps) and ANC. Sony’s mics get shaky in noise, and their shallow fit annoys some. Both Jabra/Anker use silicone tips, so no AirPod 4 vibes. You’re golden. Also you can check this thread: https://www.reddit.com/r/Earbuds/comments/1i0k6ye/earbuds_for_you/

Recently joined the Bose club. I briefly heard the XM5's and they sound really good, but the ANC strength will vary, depending on the tips you use. People seem to be getting the best results with foam tips, but to me these are a lot less convenient since I want to be able to take the buds in and out quickly. The Sony also rely quite heavily on the passive NC from said tips, meaning they act like plugs and transfer noise into your ears from things rubbing on them. I haven't really been able to test them during a workout, so I don't know how well they stay in place. The Bose QC Ultra have silicone eartips that make them super easy to pop in and the passive seal isn't really where the magic happens. They fit snugly, but comfortably and the little wingtip holds them in there perfectly. I was previously using the Soundcore Liberty 4 NC buds and there's a world of difference between them. The ANC is miles better and so is the out of the box sound. I've heard plenty of good things about the Airpod Pro's. But I'm an Android guy and those just don't make sense, but for you it just might. As far as issues with the QC Ultra's, so far, I didn't find any, aside from the sound disappearing sometimes when only having one bud connected. It happened maybe twice. Other than that...nothing. After the buggy mess that are my Sondcores, those things are a godsend. If that's of any concern to you, the AirPods will probably do the best in terms of call quality out of those three, followed by Bose. Spent all day yesterday at the airport plus 2 flights enjoying the silence with my QC Ultra's. The case of the Bose is significantly larger than the other two, but it's relatively flat. Oh yeah, the touch controls are much better on the Bose, compared to the XM5's. You can swipe to change volume and you have to tap 4 times to do that on the Sony's. And one thing that you need to know is that ANC cannot be turned off on the QC Ultra's. You can only switch to awareness or immersive mode.

Hi, I've been using my Samsung Galaxy Buds FE for regular gym workouts and general use at home and in school for the past 2 years. I'm looking to replace it, and my budget is around \~200 USD. Ideally, my first priority is **sound quality**, but a close second priority is a **secure fit**. **What I'm looking for in sound quality:** I'm not looking for anything too specific, but I really want a good ANC. I saw that Bose QC earbuds can do that but heard that they have really bad connection issues, so I'm ruling that out already. I got to try them out in person and the sound seemed like what I was looking for, and the fit seemed good enough for general gym and home/school use. **What I'm looking for in a secure fit:** I really enjoy the rubber wing tips that the Galaxy Buds FE provides, so I'm looking for that level of security. I sweat a lot in general and live in a hot climate country, so I looked into the Jabra Elite 8 Active. They only had a dummy model though when I tried them on in person, so I couldn't test the sound. The fit felt very good though, but I couldn't be sold on it as reviews said the sound and ANC are good --- but not great. As a small third priority, I preferably want the earbuds design and shape. I don't really like the design of those that wrap around the ears. **Some other reviews:** * I also heard some reviews from a friend who sweats a lot like me and owns a Sony WF-1000XM5, and she said that the sound is great but it falls off easily when exercising. That rules it out for me as well. * I bought the Soundcore Liberty 4 NC a month or two ago but sold it right away because it never stayed on my ears. It had the worst fit for me even while just sitting down and eating. The sound was okay, but I could hardly create a good seal because of how easily it falls off. * My other friend recommends the Apple Airpods Pro 2. I'm not sure how the compatibility would work with my Samsung phone. I like to mess around with the EQ, so if there's no available app equivalent on android, it sucks but it's not that big of a deal. I could probably live with it if it's really that good. * I also saw some reviews on Beats Fit Pro True Wireless, but I'm having a hard time telling if that fits what I want. Seems good but could use some more reviews and comparisons on this if you would recommend it. I'm really hoping to find some earbuds that could incorporate a bit of both of my priorities within my budget, but I'm open to adjusting my budget if I can be sold on a really good pair of earbuds, which also hopefully just has no other issues. Thanks in advance for any recommendations guys!

Airpods are good but it sucks when they start to crap out on you. I’ve been using a pair of soundcore liberty 4 NCs for a little over a year now and they’ve been great. Honestly, they sound better than at least the first gen airpods (idk what the second gen ones sound like) and they’re a fraction of the price of a brand new pair.

Do you care about ANC/Transparency mode, mic quality or spatial audio features? If ANC is important the three you've listed are probably a step above everything else on the market. If you care about spatial audio features you need to worry about compatibility, so samsung buds with samsung phones, apple buds with apple phones and google buds with Pixel phones. If you have an android device don't get Airpods because they are limited to the AAC bluetooth codec and Androids implementation is pretty terrible (Apple's is very good though). I personally have Anker Liberty 4 NC which are cheap and they sound pretty good but I equalize them. Out of the box they are just ok. Also, the ANC is not particularly good on the Anker's (reviews say it is pretty good but when you compare it to Sony or Airpods it sucks). If you don't care about anything other than sound quality I would say get a Qudelix 5k bluetooth DAC and your choice of wired iems. I know you said you don't want that, but the dac and the IEMs together will be cheaper than any of the high end tws and you will get the exact sound you want.

I bought soundcore liberty 4NC on sale for $80 about a year ago. There are always sales. The sound is excellent. Battery life excellent. The “hear through” mode is meh. The only thing is that they would slip out a little bit with activities. I would wear them golfing and sometimes they would slip out. But if I walked 18 holes (4.5 hours) the battery totally lasted. I tried a few different sizes of the ear tips. They never fell out with just walking. The case is slightly big. I bought the EarFun air pro 4 when I lost my liberty 4NC. Was on sale for $63 on Amazon. The sound is not quite as good for some things. The battery life is excellent. They fit better. They don’t fall out. The case is smaller and seems slightly less premium. No regrets with either. Ultimately the fit is better with activities for the EarFun so I prefer them more and I got them about $17 cheaper.

Those who enjoy music, downloading files, have to use headphones with LDAC, subtle differences, but noticeable, when LDAC is activated, the volume increases, the clarity of the vocals too, then in developer options, the transmission changes to 990kbps audio quality, the surround effect is instantly intensified, now I'm using the Realme GT6, and when I change to 990kbps the audio keeps cutting out, thank goodness for the Liberty 4 NC has the option of activating the frequency loss compensator, which makes the audio top-notch!

OP since you're coming from the airpods, you should go with the Liberty 4 NC or Earfun AP4, other brands will give out and start showing their cost-cutting measures after a couple weeks of use, if not initially I find the AP4 to be nearly similar to the 1000xm5 in terms of sound quality, despite the lower price. If the Sonys are a 10, these are like 9. call quality and battery life are good, multipoint works well Liberty Pro NC will be quite similar and a bit more polished, with a better app, as I've heard. If I was in the market now, I'd go for the **Liberty 4 NC**, though I'm happy with EAP4 CMF Buds are a wildcard that I haven't used, mostly they should have a lower sound quality, reinforced with bass. If I had money to spare though, I'd get them for the novelty alone. The clickwheel is an amazing accessory/feature for the price

I don't have much experience with the Liberty 4NC. I bought them maybe a year ago and returned them soon after because I wasn't super impressed with the sound. So I never compared them directly to the OnePlus... *but* I didn't return the OnePlus and they're one of my favorites now, so I think it's fair to say I'd recommend them over the Liberty.

Just got them for $60 on sale over the holidays and they were worth every penny. Do they sound as good as a $300 set of buds? Of course not. But they do 85% of the job and are a quarter of the price of the big players. Also pretty great ANC for the price.

If you’re working with a $60 budget, the Soundcore Liberty 4 NC and Anker Space A40 are solid winners. The Liberty 4 NC packs reliable ANC, punchy sound, and a neat app that lets you tweak the EQ to your liking, perfect for long study sessions when you need to stay focused. The Space A40 impresses way above its price bracket. Its ANC is surprisingly effective, the comfort holds up through long wear, and the battery life, up to 50 hours with the case is absolutely foine Since ANC depends heavily on how well they seal, but you can still get a good read on the sound signature, it’s smart to test the sound quality first at [audiotones.co](http://audiotones.co) before you hit buy. see if the sound vibes with you before committing.

I've been a bit disappointed with the wf-1000xm5 noise cancelling. I need to try different ear tips before giving up on them. My old xm3 seem better than the xm5 Denon Perl Pro, also not that impressed with. Maybe they are too sealed and don't like the feeling and sound quality hasn't clicked for me with personalisation on or off. Soundcore 4 NC, are ok at most things but wouldn't be rushing to use them Moondrop space travel look nice in case, sound pretty good for the price, fit isn't the most comfortable My items not on the list. Most impressed with the soundpeats opera 5, weird fit but great sound, my original Samsung bud pro for convenience and solid performance and the Sony wf-1000xm3 bulky but great noise cancelling

Imo the Roseselsa Earfree I5 are the best sounding tws under 100 when it comes to accurate/precise imaging, great airy soundstage, amazing depth and instrument perception. Bass is also on the balanced side (although it's a slight v shape tuning, it still remains decently balanced through all frequencies). (4 EQ presets) I get about 6-9 hours depending on if I'm using LDAC or LDAC with ANC. I have a review on my page if you want to check it out. Another solid option are the Soundpeats capsule 3 Pro plus, they have the widest soundstage I've tested in this price and they have a custom EQ so bass can be tuned down. ANC imo is better at cancelling low frequencies on this pair but battery life takes a hit at 5 hours with ANC and LDAC. (I also have a review on my page for these ones as well) (Also I've tested these against the soundcore liberty 4 nc/pro, realme air 6 pro, OnePlus buds 3, earfun air 4 pro, nothing ear a, etc and these two tws come out to be the most accurate sounding out of the bunch.)

It would still be the Roseselsa. But I would also recommend the OnePlus buds 3, they do have slightly worse audio quality, but the battery life is superb at 9 hours with ANC and LHDC on(although I'm not sure what phone you have so idk if LHDC is supported on your device). ANC is decent as well maybe on par with the Roseselsa. Another solid option that at similar to the OnePlus with better ANC are the Earfun air 4 pro.

The OnePlus buds 3 have swipe gesture controls but the soundcore liberty 4 pro have pinch/squeeze controls. So they might be the best options. Sound quality wise on the liberty 4 pro are more of a bassy tuning but nonetheless still decent since they also have custom eq. ANC is a standout and battery life is also decent. (Case quality does feel a little cheap) Edit: I'm glad I can help 👍

Ive had the NC for a month or so and yes the biggest downside are the calls. Now there is no problem with them 8/10, but when the environment around you is noisy, like in the train or in a crowded place the people I talk to seem to have s hard time hearing me. My linkbuds s are still fantastic, even though the right earbud started with that wind noise problem when in anc /ambient mode, sent it to Sony repair (Bridgend in Wales), I'm England, they replaced the right bud so all good. I have the Sony extended 2 year warranty and that's what persuaded me to buy them in the first place. Im currently waiting for delivery of the linkbuds fit, so that should be interesting? Anyway, I also have the galaxy buds FE and the liberty 4 nc (both on amazon black Friday now), I would seriously consider them mate, especially if you have a Samsung device for the FE. ANC may be better on the Sony's on paper, but in real world use, I could never tell. That ANC and sound quality only got better with Comply foam tips. The Sony's just have more features in their app, better call quality, smaller profile case and earbuds, and better multipoint.

Never slept with them but I feel like I could. It'll depend on your ears. The 4NCs are really good at passively sitting in my ear and I don't have to push them in for them to stay secure. The stems are pretty long compared to other buds so that's the only thing that might keep you from sleeping and that's really only if you sleep on your side. Sleeping on your back should be fine though. However I don't think the mic is good enough to take calls. Too many instances where people have told me they can't understand/hear what I'm saying

My vote is Soundcore. Best sound, battery, and ANC under $100 hands down. The only things that hold it back really are bad call quality and their multipoint connection is pretty bad. OnePlus Buds 3 might be an overall more polished experience. Sound, battery, and ANC aren't as good, but all other features like control and app are better. I dropped them from the 2nd floor of a motel by accident once and the buds and case survived.

I agree strongly. I own the following earbuds: XM5, Buds 3 Pro, Liberty 4 NC, and the Bose QC Ultra. I took all of the earbuds and my Bose QC 45 headphones on a flight recently. I wanted to finally see if any of these earbuds can compete with my Bose QC 45's. I got tired of all these claims of this is better than this. I wanted to see what to MY ears provided the best ANC. I find earbuds more comfortable anyways because of my glassses. I found Bose QC Ultra earbuds easily rivaled the Bose QC 45's! I was shocked. I don't know what king of magic or voodoo they are doing but they are my main ANC audio gear for flying. I am contemplating on buying a 2nd pair or just bring one of my other earbuds as a backup to circumvent the battery limitations on long duration flights. Carrying 2 cases of earbuds is a lot smaller and easier to pack than headphones too.

In the end i tried soundcore liberty 4 NC, best piece of tech i owned outside apple ecosystem. It has great noise cancellation and great transparency mode, i like its noise cancellation when used in crowded malls and airplane. It has automatic pause and automatic device switching (up to 3 devices only but supports windows/android!) just like airpods but only for apple devices. 100% recommend it. Someone mentioned soundcore r50i, it's like the lite version of this, but for sound quality 4 NC is on par with airpods pro (compared it side by side before and may even sound better)

the automatic switching works flawless on android/pc aside from my apple devices. The mic is working. Idk why but ive had 3 airpod pros in the past (last one was just a replacement due to mic issues) but all had mic issues after some few months. Transparency mode broken in airpods pro. Feature wise, airpods pro has more but if you're just into music quality, noise cancellation and transparency mode, soundcore value wise is better.

Exactly, Soundcore Liberty 4 NC at $70 sounds like a great deal, especially with that HearID feature. I’ve heard good things about the CMF Buds 2 Pro too — that dial on the case sounds pretty unique! Do you find it really useful in everyday use?

For budget-friendly, the Soundcore Life P3 is a solid pick — good sound, decent ANC, and great battery life around the $60–$70 mark. In the mid-range, I’d go with Liberty 4 NC — they punch way above their price with strong ANC and HearID sound tuning. If you're going premium, Sony WF-1000XM5 or AirPods Pro 2 are hard to beat for overall experience.

I have the soundcore liberty 4 NC and hear a huge difference in sound quality with LDAC on and I am not a audiophile. Deeper, more articulated bass, better separation of instruments. I am always blown away by the difference when I switch to LDAC.  On my Samsung phone you explicitly have to addionally enable LDAC in the bluetooth settings for the earbuds, not just put the earbuds in LDAC mode. I always suspect that people who report that they don't hear a difference (or at least a portion of them), don't do so.

I want to add that I never noticed a difference between 256 kbit and higher bitrates, but between LDAC on and off, yes. To me good NC is also more important though.  Can't you order the earbuds online, try them out and return the pair you don't like

Have had the 4nc for almost two years and got the earfuns yesterday. Pretty similar overall but at 53EUR the value you get with the earfun is just insane! What I found a little annoying is the latency on the 4nc. When using aptx on earfuns I think there is noticeable less lagg when watching videos. As for comfort, I think the earfun edges out too (even if 4nc are nice too), even with the standard tips. I have normal years and the standard size is ok. Had them a couple of hours and did not notice fatigue yet. But slightly more pressure on ear canal. But will probably buy spinfits tips down the line anyway that will mitigate this. NC seems good and about pair with 4nc. Multipoint working without problems. App is not the best but ok. Charging case is where they cut corners, its not either premium looking or feel good to touch. And the large logo is ugly. But at 53EUR who am I to complain. Good thing is a normal battery indicator. What I havent tried yet is working out with the buds or the battery life so that may perhaps change the impression somewhat but I would imagine they will be ok in that department too.

Valid thoughts. Agree 4nc is more premium, but even so, I would not exactly say they are premium like a (more pricey) sony or technics? My overall experience with wireless inear buds in general are more or less: they will work 2, maybe 3 years and then they slowly die, no matter the brand. Either battery or some other like sweat eventually kills them. Because of this it doesnt make sense to buy premium 200-300EUR in my opinion. For me small buds are good to have wirh you at work, gym or commuting etc but for gaming or flying nothing, in my opinion, beats over the ear in terms of comfort and ANC but the good ones csn of course be pretty pricey.

If you liked the [Sennheiser CX400 BT](https://amzn.to/4kMvU0D) and want something wireless with a similar clean, rich sound under $100, I’d take a hard look at the [Soundcore Liberty 4 NC](https://amzn.to/4iz06Li). They’ve got gummy-style tips that fit snug without being bulky, great ANC for the price, and the sound is really customizable through the app. Out of the box, they’re a little bass-forward, but once you dial them in, they do a *really* nice job with vocals especially female vocals and anything acoustic or mid-heavy. I listen to everything from hip-hop to classical to podcasts, and these handle all of it without falling apart at the highs. They’re also super comfortable, hold a charge forever, and honestly punch way above their price point. You could stretch to the [Nothing Ear](https://amzn.to/4iz0lWI) if you want something flashier with a more balanced sound signature, but for pure value and versatility, Liberty 4 NC is hard to beat.

If you don't need something immediately, I think they will start going on sale more often. I would also consider the Earfun Air Pro 4. I've got a pair of Anker Liberty 4 NCs, though they dont fit well in to the ear canal, almost sitting on top of the ear canal. Seems its a common complaint if googled with it made only a tiny bit better with some after market SpinFit CP100s fitted, which is a mission in itself due to the odd shape of the stem/connection thing on the buds Can I therefore ask you about these; do they fit in to the ear canal well? I take it you've stuck to the silicone tips that came with it? Similar situation to yourself, lot of high res and flac audio, will be using with LDAC

What memory foam tips are they? Are they hard to change over like the liberty 4 ncs are?

out of curiosity which ones have you tried? I actually really liked the EQ on the liberty 4 NC but I ended up returning them. I havn't tried the Liberty 4 pro but those are frequently on sale for $100, and many youtubers have said they are best sounding soundcore earbuds. I currently own the Oneplus Buds Pro 3 which I I think most people would say sound better then Airpods Pro 2. But then their is a whole another level of sound once you get to the $200+ range with earbuds like the Sony XM5, Sennheiser Momentum 4, Bowers & Wilkins Pi8, and Technics AZ100 & AZ80. Not to mention the now cheap(but bulky/uncomfortable) Denon Perl Pro. I still think Airpods pro 2 are best all around earbud but theres a lot of better options when it comes to sound. Edit: Also to be clear, Soundcore Liberty 4 NC aren't even the best sounding earbuds under $100. Most people seem to prefer Oneplus Buds 3/4(4 is $100 on oneplus website), nothing ear(a), Earfun Air pro 4, and CMF buds pro 2. I get saying Airpods are best earbuds out there but saying they have best sound is kind of insane given other options.

I've had a pair of Beats Fit Pros for about 2 and a half years, but one of the ear hooks broke, itsn't easy to glue, super hard to replace, and of course I didn't want to buy a whole new pair. Noise canceling is solid, sound quality is really good, and they have wireless charging as a bonus. These are my thoughts on both earbuds after using them for a couple days EarFun: ~ really good noise canceling, and is the best of the two. On normal mode it also blocks out it pretty good amount of noise. The transparent mode was good as well, takes some getting used to, but overall I could hear when people would speak to me ~ the app is pretty easy to use and very custom friendly. I personally loved the bass booster preset because it gave me the bass I wanted, whilst keeping the clarity which I loved ~ battery life is ok. For me personally, I don’t think I’ll be using anc 24/7 however, I did time the earbuds to see how long they last with anc on and it lasted a whole of 6hrs36mins before one earbud died. Which isn’t a long time for most people. If you use on normal mode it’ll definitely last longer ~ I like some of the other little features like, the fact that u can remove the earbud and it’ll pause whatever you’re listening to. It’s a little delayed but pretty good. ~ earbud fit is nice, but I will say liberty 4ncs feel more comfortable to me. However, they’re both good in comfort. ~ still have to test mic quality out ~ packaging is solid(base), but the lid is pretty light which scares me a bit. It will be easy to carry around ~ comes with 18month warranty Liberty 4nc: ~ I’m going to start off with the anc, and I think it’s pretty good as expected. Make sure to go through the eartip sizes for the best seal. The transparent mode is also more clearer than EarFun, but they’re pretty close in that aspect. With all that said, I still think EarFun anc is better at blocking out noise. ~ sound quality is pretty good, but EarFun also wins in this aspect as well because it just sounds clearer to me. ~ if your a stickler for packaging like me, you’ll definitely like the look of the Liberty 4nc case, but I will say that opening the case is straight up annoying with the button so if you don’t like that, you can also lift it by the lid as opposed to the button ~ I personally like the feel and fit of the earbuds because they feel more comfortable, but it’s one of those cases where you have to test it out for yourself. The only thing is that I truly don’t like when earbuds stick out of you ears because it looks odd, but it’s most likely not going to be noticeable to others ~ the app is very customizable, and you can adjust the leavel of anc you want, and also select a mode of transportation to which the earbuds then adjust the noise canceling. The hearID was really nice when I wanted to adjust the sound quality according to what I had prefer for music. Wind reduction was also pretty good on this one. Overall just super customizable. ~ the mic quality is pretty good on this one but I still have to test this out ~ the battery life is as advertised and lasts pretty long which I do like, and I also like the fast charging on these earbuds(10mins = 4hrs) in comparison to the EarFun (10mins = 2hrs) ~ little minor additions that I also really like are the fact that you can take an earbud out and it’ll pause as well as automatically turn on transparent mode. It’s very minor but for me I often take one earbud out to hear someone so it’s nice to have that instead of having to turn on transparent mode. ~ touch controls are customizable, but the preset is already easy to maneuver through ~ comes with an 18month warranty Feel free to ask any questions, but as of right now I’m struggling to choose between the two because they both have nice qualities. The main issue is that I like the EarFun more in terms of sound quality and anc, but the battery life along with the small details on the 4nc like, automatic transparency mode when an earbud is removed, battery life, and fit is making me second guess which ones to keep and which I want to return.

I also use Tidal Hi-Res along with LDAC and listen mostly to eighties rock and some metal, and I have yet to find anything better than my trusty Liberty 3 Pro's. Excellent soundstage and separation along with plenty of bass and clarity, and the volume is pretty good, although both the Liberty 4 Pro and Liberty 4 NC are considerably louder but lack a bit in sound quality imo.

Is there something keeping you from going with something newer from Soundcore? I have the Liberty Air 2 Pro also, and their sound quality is amazing even by today's standards. I think if they were released today, they'd get rave reviews (minus for the lack of multipoint). The best newer earbuds from Soundcore are the Liberty 4 NC imo. I like their sound quality more than the newer Liberty 4 Pro, but they're not quite as comfortable imo. Strictly for sound quality, nothing beats the Liberty 3 Pro. Soundcore hit perfection with these imo.

Count me as # 3. These are amazing, especially for the price. I recently purchased the new Jlab Jbuds Pods ANC, thinking they were going to be a competitor to the L4NC, and I was enormously disappointed. The Soundcore stomps the Jlab out in every category. I've read tons of good things about the Earfun Air Pro 4, but I have yet to purchase them. I tried at the Earfun website but they wouldn't accept my card (Walmart Visa) for some odd reason (Yes, I have plenty of money to cover these ten times over) and I refuse to let Amazon blackmail me into buying their ridiculous Prime service. Anyway, sorry about the rant, but long story short, the L4NC are astoundingly good. As a matter of fact, for the money, I think they're the best buds on the market today.

You think the L4NC has better ANC? I've tested them back-to-back, and to me, it's too close to call. Both have exceptional ANC, and if ANC was the only criteria, I could flip a coin and be perfectly happy either way. When it comes to sound quality, this is where it gets difficult. Straight-up, I'd say the L4P wins except when I'm using the manual EQ with the L4NC, and I combine it with the 3D surround sound it improves the sound quality tremendously imo. Battery-wise, the L4NC wins hands down with an extra 1 1/2 to 2 hours of additional playtime.

You're pretty accurate on most accounts, but the one area where I believe you're wrong is in the ANC. Not because you did anything wrong on the steps leading up to testing but because Soundcore supplies the L4NC with atrocious ear tips. For me, there's no possible way that I can enjoy the full effects of the L4NC's ANC without replacing the stock tips with something better. Once I switched to the supplied tips for my Technics AZ-60/AZ-80, the ANC improved drastically. Maybe try finding better tips and give it another shot. I think you'd be pleasantly surprised.

Just scroll down the sub.... it's been asked every day for as long as I can remember! Liberty 4 NC has probably the strongest ANC but isn't the outright best - they all have their pros and cons you have to weigh up what you can live with. Space A40 have a bit of a strange sound profile - not the usually bass canons you get with Soundcore. If you do get them and you're not satisfied with the sound, let me know as I do have a half decent EQ setting for them. The Liberty 4 NC are usually a bit more than £50 but if you want strong ANC then they are probably the best pic under £100

Not tried the A3i. I tried the P3i and didn't like them - way too bassy. The Liberty 4 NC are not quite so bassy, but they're still a bit bloated for my liking. You can hear what they sound like in [this video](https://youtu.be/nA8SzBswW5w), it's a comparison with a load of other earbuds but if you skip to around 28 minutes that's when the sound samples start and the Liberty 4 NC is one of the first ones. In terms of other features etc you have to make compromises with all earbuds in some way TBH. The L4NC are a bit bulky, the call quality is average and transparency mode is mediocre, but the build quality is decent, battery life (without LDAC) is solid, and app experience is good with lots of customisation.

I include sound and ANC samples in all my reviews, recorded using a binaural microphone setup, so you can actually hear the difference for yourself rather than taking people's word for it. The seal makes a huge difference when it comes to noise reduction so one person's findings might be different to someone else's purely down to the fit. Here's my review of [Earfun Air Pro 4 ](https://youtu.be/2dSnlgElEaw), the OnePlus Buds 3 and Soundcore Liberty 4 NC are compared [here](https://youtu.be/nA8SzBswW5w), and if you scroll through my page you'll find the Soundpeats option mentioned as well. IMO - there's no outstanding candidate - all have their pros and cons. For me, the likes of Redmi Buds 6 Pro, Realme Buds Air 6 Pro and OnePlus Buds 3, whilst not outstanding at anything, have a good blend of sound, call performance, ANC, transparency and price. The L4 NC has the strongest ANC but struggles on calls and the sound is too bloated for my liking. The Earfun are good other than on calls, where your voice muffles quite a bit depending on the scene.

Rather than taking people's word for it, listen to some sound and ANC samples. [This one](https://youtu.be/2dSnlgElEaw?si=UUCqosIyyqFQOwW3) covers the Earfun (skip to 01:50) [this one for the Soundcore](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nA8SzBswW5w&t=1926s) (skip to around 30 minutes) where you can hear through a binaural sound test what each sounds like. I much prefer the more Harman-style tuning of the Earfun (warm neutral-ish) whereas the Soundcore is more v-shaped but muddier. Both videos also have ANC samples in the same coffee shop (for me, the Liberty 4 NC is around 5-10% more powerful). Earfun have the better transparency mode. They also have call samples, again in real life busy environments (rather than someone waving a fan around and saying that replicates wind - it doesn't LOL). I think both struggle a little on calls, particularly around other voices, where the noise reduction algorithm can't tell whose voice is which and muffles you a little. Earfun have the wider selection of codecs, but unless you have a Snapdragon phone, that probably won't matter. Both are decent choices, but despite the better ANC on the L4 NC, I prefer the Earfun. Still, there's no best overall because everyone places different levels of importance on different things.

The Oneplus Buds 3 are great. I've also retired my Liberty 4 NC, but it was for the Earfun Air Pro 4. Those were my surprise of the year. The Oneplus buds were great, but the lack of wireless charging and the fact that they hurt my ears after a while (Liberty 4NC also hurt my ears) had me looking for something else. Neither of these buds are perfect, but the OP3 or EAP4 would be a 1A/1B choice over the L4NC. I still love Soundcore as a company though, and their support is still among the best in this space IMO.

I have the AZ80 and Space A40 from this list. I also have the Earfun Air Pro 4, Soundcore Liberty 4NC, Soundcore Sport X20, and I've had several others over the last couple of years including the Jabra Elite 10 gen1. The Earfuns are my favorite for music. The AZ80s are my favorites for day to day use, including phone calls and transparency mode. What I've learned is, the difference between the really high dollar options and mid-priced ones is much smaller than you would expect. I hadn't used the A40s in a while, and they were my absolute favorites for a long time. While they aren't as good as my Earfuns or Technics, unless you're comparing them side to side, you'll probably be okay.

I think the Sport X20 and Liberty 4NC have the best ANC of the bunch. I don't take much public transport, but all I need them to do is reduce noise, not eliminate. So to me,they all are fine. Specifically regarding ANC though, the Soundcore buds are a cut above.

I came from Soundcore's Liberty 4 NC, then the Liberty 4 Pros. And honestly, you just can't beat the noise canceling on those. I haven't found anything that beats those, but I got the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro for $90, and they blow the Liberty 4 NCs and Pros out of the water in literally every other aspect. The transparency is crystal clear, the sound is super well balanced, they feel more comfortable for long periods of time, and overall, they're just way higher tech than Soundcore. I was honestly very bummed out about the noise canceling on these because I've used different eartips, and those didn't do much. I ended up buying Azla's SednaEarfit Max, and they provided the best seal, but it still just doesn't beat Soundcore.

Oh wow, I said the same thing, lol. The Buds 3 Pro are just nothing in comparison to Soundcore's Liberty 4 NC and Liberty 4 Pro. It's very underwhelming for me, having come from those earbuds to the Buds 3 Pro. In my opinion, the Liberty 4 Pros provide the same amount of noise canceling as the NC's with better audio quality. As I said in a previous comment, however, the Buds 3 Pro blows Soundcore out of the water in every other aspect that ISN'T noise cancelling.

A lot of people rave about the nothings. I can also highly recommend the soundscore liberty 4 NC, which I am wearing right now, and which are on offer on Amazon right now at the best price you will find £54. And you can even get some renewed ones for like £45 on Amazon as well. And finally, some reviews are saying that the earfun airpro4 are even better exclamation mark and it seems to be born out by other reports as well. These are also in the Amazon spring sale at I think £59. These are all legit companies who are trying to make good quality stuff. At the price you are trying to pay these are definitely the ones you want to look at. There may be one or two others but you won't go wrong with any of these. The most important thing is that they are comfortable fit your ears etc and that they work for you. Most of them have equalizers, particularly helpful for bouncing out for your preferences.

To be honest, I'd save some money and go for the 4 NC. U N P O P U L A R O P I N I O N A L E R T ! ! ! All of their TWS IEMs are ugly/generic looking, and was extremely hesitant to purchase them, but to be honest - I'm mad hating on Sony prices, and I have been for some time now, so I decided to stop purchasing their products altogether, after a running \~15 years of only getting Sony for my audio needs. The 4 NC sounds identical (even better to my ears), and already have a "good enough" feature set, which I don't know if it actually even differs from the Pros in any relevant way. I went with the 4 NC - I'm still kind of turned off by their lackluster design but the sound is OK (I like some boom and a wide soundstage, so they're serviceable), NC is OK, features work as expected (excluding the fact that you can't have multipoint AND LDAC at the same time).

Im not a huge fan of noise cancelling either for the most part, but two points; - most apps can disable it easily. Once you remove it from controls, theres no way it accidentally comes on. - a lot of cheaper noise cancellation is AWFUL. It feels like horrible pressure on the ears and I actually got sick off many cheaper options. Having the option to just gently reduce decibels is actually quite nice, and my favourite for this is the Liberty 4 ANC’s. They have a decent balanced sound profile, and thwir noise cancellation isnt the ‘strongest’, but it feels very natural and just shaves a few more db off surroundings. Sort of like a really good seal from earplugs. If you sont transit or work in an office or go to the gym then you dont really need it. But it can be a godzend for those situations.

I havent tried them but I absolutely LOVE my Liberty 4 NC’s that are another in the range. Best bet is to read a bunch of reviews and understand the downsides and if theyre applicable to you. For example some reviews say the p30is have bad latency. If you wont use them for games at all; thats irrelevant to you. If you will; maybe they wont be suitable. Another pair which is great value at the moment I just grabbed are rhe Earfun Air Pro 4’s. Got some for my wife as well and shes super happy with them.

Started off with Pixel Buds Pro 2 and have tried several others including Boss QC Ultra, Earfun 4, Soundcore Liberty 4 NC/Pro, and Cambridge Melomania M100. 3 of these stood above the rest for me- Soundcore Liberty 4 Pro, Earfun 4, and the Cambridge. The Liberty 4 Pro and Earfun 4 are very, very similar to me in both sound, NC, and features. I think it almost comes down to preference on looks/fit, to which I personally prefer the Liberty 4 Pro (especially in white as it includes a case that isn't a shiny fingerprint magnet) for its fit and finish. Then you have the Cambridge which are so underrated. The NC might not be quite as good as on the other 2 but it isn't a huge difference, but the bump up in overall sound quality is noticeable, especially if you take the time to do hearing tests (when applicable) and then further tweak the EQs to your preference. It would be a hard to pick a single winner from these, they are all 3 great Side note- the Liberty 4 NC are very nearly as good as my above 3 picks and are a great buy at their current sale price of $70. The NC is pretty much identical to the Pros, main difference to me is you can get slightly more out of the dual drivers on the Pros when you EQ them.

If they have the Soundcore Liberty 4 NC for $70 I think they are every bit as good as the Earfun, if not a little better because I really like the Soundcore app and I believe they have the HearID feature which tunes the EQ to your hearing and works pretty damn well (I have had several Soundcore buds so can't remember for sure if these have HearID). Also CMF Buds 2 Pro are good buds and I love the case with the multi function dial. Last I checked they were on sale for $47 on Amazon. The bass is quite heavy but you can mostly EQ it out. I've heard the newer CMF Buds 2 Plus sound better out of the box BUT they do not come with the multi function dial on the case and they cost about $20 more so I would prefer the 2 Pro and just EQing the bass down.

Love the dial because I default to using my phone to skip tracks and everything else because I loathe touch controls on earbuds. If I had to choose I'd take the Liberty 4 NC over them just because I think they are better overall in about every category- but you can't go wrong with either of these buds IMO- or for that matter Earfun Air 4 as well.

Top one I own is the liberty 4NC's, these have great sound and ANC, also very comfortable fit. I also have to mention the SoundCore P30i, these are very reasonable for the price ( about £30). They have a smaller form factor and get very loud. At the price you could have both.

Have a look at the noble range, but do you really want to spend that much on a pair of buds? I have bought many pairs of buds over the years, both cheap and very high end. I have come to the conclusion that you really don't need to spend that much anymore. For $300 you could get two or three pairs. I have multiple pairs of SoundCore buds, Noble, Bose and B & O. The ones I tend to use every day are the sound core P30i's, they have a great fit and I just love them , the other pair is the Tozo NC9. Both of these are about £30. Have a look at the SoundCore range as the app is the best out there and they have buds at all prices. Liberty 4NC are good alrounders.

From the 2 choices you've mentioned, I'd get the L4NC because of the better battery life. Take note that the charging case of the wf-c700 can only hold one full charge, so it only gives you a total of 15hrs of battery life along with the buds. I only use a pair of budget tws from soundcore, the p30i, and I've been happily using them for more than a month. My only gripe about them is they can't be used for gaming but for the price I got them($14 on sale) I really don't have that much complaints. Oh and if you don't like how the L4NC sounds out of the box then you can also choose your prefered EQ presets or even make your own EQ in the soundcore app

The L4NC is still the TOTL earbuds from soundcore right now. The other ones are a more budget friendly option like the p30i and p40i. I only have the p30i so that's the only one I'd be able to share my personal experience with. Soundwise, the p30i leans on the bassy side out of the box like the other soundcore offerings. If you are a bass head I think you'll enjoy soundcore's bass up sound signature. I EQ-ed mine to be more vocal forward and tone the bass down a little bit and I'm happy with it. For other earbuds under $100, maybe the nothing ear(a), cmf buds pro 2, or the KZ Xtra(I think this will give you great sound quality since KZ is an IEM company although they've had their fair share of controversies). You can also check scarbir's blog for more recommendations [here](https://www.scarbir.com/)

Problem with the soundcores though is the ear tips. If you need to replace them good luck. The flanges that the top attach to on the soundcores is a lot larger than most others. I have the Liberty 4s and have been trying to find XL tips that fit and it has been damn near impossible. Adding to the support for Anker Soundcore. I've got a pair of Liberty 4 buds and a Life Q30 headset, they're both great, although the Q30 can start to feel tight if I wear it for longer than an hour (I wear glasses). The Liberty 4's came with 4 sizes of in-ear rubbery bits, and I ended up going with different sizes for each ear to get a good fit - the fit is usually my complaint about earbuds, so I'm pretty stoked that both stay in place. One of my favourite features of the app is the white noise generator: I like mixing the raindrops, wind in trees, and purring cat, for when I'm not listening to something but don't want just the hiss of the noise cancelling. I swear I'm not AI.

They are now paired to my TV so I can watch movies or game without bothering my wife, but... they don't work reliably for that, either. Hell, they don't even natively connect to the PS5, which is baffling to me. I also have a pair of Anker Liberty earbuds, which worked for a few months. Cheap, sure, but if you have to replace them every year because the battery life falls to 20 minutes, then you pretty quickly get up to AirPod prices. TL;DR: AirPods Pro FTW

I wonder if you just got unlucky with Anker (or I've been lucky)? I've had at least a couple of pairs of their Soundcore earbuds that have worked extremely well for me until I eventually lose them.

I got a pair of Soundcore by Anket in Jan. I use them for audiobooks 6-8 hours a day, and have never had a problem with them. Battery life lasts all week for me since I switch out using one bud at a time, but I think they have like 30h of battery if using both. Fast charge. Water resistant, though, not waterproof.

Don't waste your money on overpriced earbuds. You know what Sony, apple, Samsung Bose, and seinheiser have in common? They are disgustingly overpriced for a technology that is still going nowhere. The only time you use big brands is over ear. Earfun pro 4 Or Anything from soundcore. Will give you the identical features with slightly less noise canceling ability. Which shocker is the #1 thing I personally couldn't give a crap about as long as it's decent

I've been using Anker Soundcore since January last year. The sound is good, the earbud is affordable and most importantly, I only need to charge it once a week even though I use it for 7-8hr per day

I bought some random ones off Amazon based on the reviews. They were only £25 so thought I’d take a punt on them not really expecting them to be as good as people were saying. I also have a pair of Anker Soundcore but find the bass too light. Anyway, they are called Btootos and they are absolutely excellent for the money. They are almost as good as AirPods in terms of sound quality. Not quite but for the money I really don’t think it’s worth paying extra for the AirPods, the difference isn’t that big

Have you all looked into replacement tips from Spinfit, Sedna, Azla? Those seem like a good option as they carry lots of sizes and fit the ear better than the standard tips. (I don’t own any, I just saw them recommended on another post in the sub. It looks like SS, then S are the smallest sizes. They all have instructions on how to select your size and model). Also on Amazon there are silicone behind the neck straps that you can fit to any earbud while running/working out and later take them off when you don’t need them. I’m still deciding on a lightweight, compact, good-sounding, earbud under $100 and most of all great fitting for running. I have some Anker Soundcore that fall out of my ear easily with any of the included tips. I also have older Jabra Elite (not the active), which are more comfortable but still not great for running..

Sony XM5s are pretty good in terms of isolation but that it ear shape dependent. Sound quality wise, especially for street listening, I'd honestly buy a much cheaper Anker Soundcore or something similar.

My Anker soundcores ($50 miracles) were rock solid until December. Now they cut out all the time at the gym in the high quality mode when it gets busy. It matched the December update and when I started to see the new Apple headset marshmallows show up. Could be Apple interference or Google Standard bluetooth incompetence at this point. Very annoying.
