I've also been use some Soundcore Life A2 NC for years, and I've been super happy with them. I can't bring myself to upgrade to a new pair since these have just always been solid with comfortable ANC. They don't sell these anymore though, but just wanted to give an extra shout out to Soundcore for their price/performance ratio. 👍
Yeah! At under \~$40 (ideally < $30) you can get earbuds that sound a bit better than the SoundPEATS Free2 Classic and support AAC or aptX. Look at budget picks like SoundPEATS T2/T3, Anker Soundcore Life A1/A2, or TOZO T6/T10. They’re usually comfy and land better codecs for the money. About dot-style vs stemmed: the difference isn’t performance, it’s fit and comfort. Dot/bean buds are shorter in your ear and some people find them less likely to poke or fall out, while stemmed ones stick out more but can house bigger mics/antennas. It’s really about what feels secure for your ears, not a universal “one shape stays in better.” If you tell me whether you’re on iPhone or Android, I can tailor a specific pick with the best codec for your device. I returned mine because my pony tail kept hitting the back part that went around the back of my head. Drove me nuts. I keep seeing these recommended but I just did not like them. I love Anker products...I currently have the Soundcore life A2 but they're discontinued & am starting to look around since they dont hold charge as well anymor. I'll look into your recommendation!
Gotcha. I'll say this, honestly my favorite set of earbuds I've ever had were some knockoff soundcore's labelled soundcore2 ANC, that I grabbed waiting in line at a department store for like $13. I could sleep in them, the profile was perfect for me. Still trying to find the exact set. They were so great til I dropped one then washed them in the laundry.
I had a previous set of the life line that died prior to getting my libertys. Had never spent more than 50 or so on a pair of ear buds and was realizing just how much I was wearing them so I decided to go ahead and spend a bit more. I have 0 regrets, absolutely love em.
Go for the soundcore P30i, if you can. Those have great noise cancelling at a budget, as long as you're not expecting Apple or Bose level ANC. Transparency is pretty decent too, but obviously not perfect, as you can expect. You can get 6/10 hours of playback on a single charge (ANC on/off), and 25/45 hours with the case, and ever customize things like touch controls, low-latency Gaming Mode, Multipoint Connection, Custom EQ, etc. in the app! If you can't afford P30i in your country or they're not available, P20i is also a solid choice. No ANC or Transparency, and the build quality is a little bit lighter, but they're not bad at all. You can also get 10 hours of playback from one single charge, and 30 with the case. You can also customize touch controls in the app, change EQs, etc. I personally wouldn't go for the P2 Mini or any soundcore Life earbuds. Those are soundcore's older buds, and with most of them, you can't use the free app to customize them, and there are physical buttons instead of tap controls, which most people don't love. Hope this helped!
