"How much of a difference does a little 5 ohm impedance bump make? A whole hell of a lot actually. ... we get a HUGE bass boost in the balance of this IEM, running into the mid range and smoothing out the treble. If you add foam tips into the equation, what you get is a bassy, new meta-like sound with a much fuller mid bass and lower mid range, making for much richer male vocals while eliminating Harman shout and spice. Once adapted, the set has a much more pronounced mid bass kick and texture, and will satisfy a fair amount of bassheads. ... All in all, the adapter makes it sound like a completely different IEM, and that makes for a pretty versatile, choose-your-own-adventure style experience."

I was honestly surprised by anker soundcore. My wife stole my Buds live so I got her soundcore. They are surprisingly good for their price.

I use the p40i with the Comply foam tips and I've had no complaints during my calls. Great part is that model of earbud is relatively cheap to stock up on in case you have a habit of misplacing them like I do. My current Pixel is the 8.
r/GooglePixel • What earbuds should I use for phone calls? ->Anker soundcore’s used to be my go-to’s when my AirPods weren’t available, but they are horribly priced now - like more than AirPods. Maybe Amazon or someone else will have them at a better price than direct. I have also had good experience with a pair of Sony earbuds I gave to my daughter. The noise cancelling is superb because we have to throw stuff at her to get her attention.
