This is interesting as this has not been my experience! I have the sleep A20 earbuds and the p40i and the battery on both of those have been very impressive.

It has no ANC. Sound is decent. I wouldn't recommend them as your primary buds. Just for sleeping or blocking out noise when you dont want something heavier in your ears

I have the Soundcore a20 sleep earbuds. I was loving them until 2 weeks shy of the 1 year mark, the left sometimes charges to 30%. Now today only 2 days after the 1 year mark, the left sometimes doesn't charge at all, it is hit or miss. I contacted the company and I followed the troubleshooting instructions they gave me. Unfortunately, there was no resolution to this issue. I guess these will not last more than a year. That said, up until then, they were wonderful. I had insomnia until I purchased them and have never slept better! Unfortunately, I did not have the extended warranty. I never usually purchase an extended warranty. Well, with these I will from now on! I just purchased the new a30 and added the 2 yr warranty! I am a bit worried about the most recent reviews! Especially for $299! We will see. At least now I am fully covered for replacements if needed after a year! BOTTOM LINE: Due to my positive past experience with the a20 earbuds, I would recommend them. HOWEVER, I would not purchase them without the extended warranty!!!

I agree about the sleep or no sleep! I paid over $200 for the a20 Soundcore. They just lasted almost a year. I made the mistake of not getting the extended warranty! I now just purchased the a30 earbuds $299. But I was smarter this time around! I purchased the 2 yr warranty! That said, IF these don't last a year, I will get a replacement! And then another year. So, that is only $100 a year ;)

JLab Mini are tiny and have ambient mode, though I haven't personally tried it. I do have the Soundcore Sleep A20, and they provide you with silicone tips with holes in it for breathability, but it works well to let in ambient sound too. The A20s are very discrete, but the color doesn't exactly match skin color that well; it's more of a cream gray color. Battery life might be an issue with your 12 hour shift though. I think the best option is to look for a pair of bone conducting glasses (sorry I don't know any). They should look discrete enough, probably more so than earbuds. The bone conduction would mean audio isn't played out loud, and the open ear design lets you hear your boss.

I bought the Soundcore Sleep A20 set from Amazon for a 6 week trip of shared hotel room with my snoring bestie, they worked like a hot damn! I'm a side sleeper, the are super comfy in that position. They have a built in "sleep setting" with nature sounds! Comes with a ton of earbuds for regular or sleep wear. Totes recommend these.

Well, these aren’t in-ear. They sit on the outside of your ear canal. The Soundcore Sleep A20 are much better than these, offer passive isolation, and comfortable for side sleepers.

Similar to other folks, I have quite a few \~15 pairs ranging in price. I really enjoy trying out new features and comparing them, so it is a bit of a hobby. I usually have a few on me/in my bag. Lately it is the galaxy buds pro 3 (just recently acquired) and the sony linkbuds s. I usually sleep with the soundcore sleep a20.

Soundcore Sleep A20 is the only sleep-oriented earbud that checks those boxes. They are fine for music, but they are designed for sleeping. They are incredibly low-profile, so likely won't jut out of your ear. You can sleep on your side. The sleep mode not only tracks your sleep, but allows you to customize a soundscape. The buds will last about 10-12 hours in sleep mode. Both the ear plug and retaining nub (holds the bud in your ear) are really soft and come in multiple sizes. I have yet to have an earbud fall out, which is not true for any other major brand I've used (even while awake). Honestly, I liked them so much, I just kept my old Google earbuds for music and *only* use the A20s for sleeping.

I use the soundcore Sleep A20 under my Motorcycle Helmet. It’s just about perfect, since it’s very low profile since it’s meant to be comfortable for side sleepers. Only issue is that it does not have ANC. However, the upcoming soundcore Sleep A30 will have ANC, and there are early bird deals right now! Cheers!

If you're ear canals are too small like my wife's then they may not be a fit for you either (you can try foam tips that can compress down as well). What she ended up getting were the Soundcore sleep buds that are meant to go deeper in your ear for side sleeping and just using them as regular buds because they can actually fit. They aren't as good as the B3P of course, but they won't matter how good if they don't fit. Another option are those Shokz bone-conduction ones that don't go in your ear and just play from the outside. Great for calls (I have 3 pairs for work, lol) but not as good for musical sound quality obviously since they don't seal up your ear and sit just outside your earholes.

My daughter has misophonia so I have a lot of experience here. For everyday use, AirPods are sufficient. Very easy to use and you can still hear a little of what’s going on around you. Sony WX1000M4 for a stronger cancellation. It has the side benefit of signaling to the people around you that you are trying to focus. Sometimes she will use the Sony over the AirPods for complete silence. You didn’t ask for it, but the best purchase by far for us has been the Soundcore sleep earbuds. They are amazing.

Don't buy them!! I have owned 4 sets of quieton. The only one that actually still works are the original black sleep ones with the button. The "new" design all have the same issue where one bud fails to charge. I bought the 4, I was so hopeful since they claim the QA is enhanced. 8 days in and it fails!! Over $400 Canadian with tax and it took 2 months from intial purchase till I finally got a refund, which IU had to use a paypal dispute to get. I also own the Ozlo and Soundcore A10s, A20s and soon the A30s. Ozlo are hands down the most comfortable but known to by buggy (I haven't experienced it), the Soundcore A20s are nice as far as features but don't provide as much noise isolation. I'm hopeful for the A30s with ANC. Just stay away from the QuietOn!! Huge waste off money, I promise they will fail, they always eventually do!!

Jlab go air pop, or jlab mini buds  Or you could go for sleep buds: Anker A20 which actually sounds decent (better sounding than jlab too imo). They also just announced A30 which will have ANC.  I also like Linkbuds S - best sounding but biggest of the bunch, but it’s got flat profile that makes it usable in bed

I haven’t directly compared but I’m pretty sure the a20 is noticeably smaller than the a40 esp given a40 has bigger drivers and ANC. A20 have a rubber cover that makes them more comfy and for reference when I wear them they don’t protrude past my ear at all

Pretty sure buds with app support (Sony, Soundcore) allow you to disable all that.  If you don’t wanna deal with that, Anker A20/A30 have no touch or in-ear sensors. You have to tap them pretty deliberately. They’re sleep buds but honestly sound decent especially with eq. Guessing that’ll make them stay in your ears in the gym too

I've tried multiple different ones that were designed for sleep and have had bad luck with all of them for various reasons, the most expensive ones ive tried were Anker A20, I had bad luck with them too and returned them as well, they lost Bluetooth connection when laying one my side, I guess the pillow blocked the Bluetooth signal. Now I just use Pixel buds Pros and they're pretty small and work well enough for me.

The sound quality is pretty good for my non technical ears. Had to grab a new pair cause I lost them for a few months but now I have them both and haven’t noticed a decline in the originals at all. Très souvent j'ai aussi un écouteur qui ne se recharge pas quand je le rentre dans le boitier alors que l'autre s'est rechargé à 100%. Je conseillerais perso des écouteurs anker soundcore.

Battery life (number of charges) goes down a lot if you let the charge go below 20%. I recently bought some Anker Soundcore wireless earbuds and they warn you when the charge gets to 20%. Also, charging to 80% improves battery life but I don't think you can control that as the earbuds will charge automatically when they're in the charging case.

If you are on Samsung, any Galaxy buds with be good. Buds 2 pro very well with some Bass emphasis. Buds 3 pro (I have them and love them), might be the best on sound quality. Buds 3 FE great noise cancellation, but missing some features because they are FE, still great. OnePlus buds 4, might be the best overall for the price, no complaints actually for that price. The Huawei are actually pretty good for the price, but like the FE, may miss some features, nothing to worry about. And the Soundcore may be the midd point between all of them, not bad at all, but no the best, the same, no complains at the price.

Don't waste your money on overpriced earbuds. You know what Sony, apple, Samsung Bose, and seinheiser have in common? They are disgustingly overpriced for a technology that is still going nowhere. The only time you use big brands is over ear. Earfun pro 4 Or Anything from soundcore. Will give you the identical features with slightly less noise canceling ability. Which shocker is the #1 thing I personally couldn't give a crap about as long as it's decent

If you're on iOS & Apple ecosystem, I love my airpods. But if you're price conscious or don't care about integration features, Anker/SoundCore has always been reliable for me.

I bought some random ones off Amazon based on the reviews. They were only £25 so thought I’d take a punt on them not really expecting them to be as good as people were saying. I also have a pair of Anker Soundcore but find the bass too light. Anyway, they are called Btootos and they are absolutely excellent for the money. They are almost as good as AirPods in terms of sound quality. Not quite but for the money I really don’t think it’s worth paying extra for the AirPods, the difference isn’t that big

I have Soundcore by Anker. Paid about $40. They are super sweat proof, pretty comfortable, sound decent and hold a charge all day.

Had both and imo the airpods are so much better it's not even close. My anker would regularly have connection glitches when walking through busier areas. They also much more regularly fall out, and ultimately they didn't last very long

I've got some jabra elite 7 pro and also several Anker soundcore buds and over ear and never had any issues with any of them across pixel 6a, 7a, 8a and 8 pro.

Buy Anker soundcore buds, they’re available on Lazada. Fraction of the price, just as good, available in white. Very well reviewed and when you inevitably lose one of both or them it’s not the trauma losing an Apple EarPod is.

Same. No complaints at all. More importantly they fit and stick in my ears which EarPods shaped buds don’t.

Have you all looked into replacement tips from Spinfit, Sedna, Azla? Those seem like a good option as they carry lots of sizes and fit the ear better than the standard tips. (I don’t own any, I just saw them recommended on another post in the sub. It looks like SS, then S are the smallest sizes. They all have instructions on how to select your size and model). Also on Amazon there are silicone behind the neck straps that you can fit to any earbud while running/working out and later take them off when you don’t need them. I’m still deciding on a lightweight, compact, good-sounding, earbud under $100 and most of all great fitting for running. I have some Anker Soundcore that fall out of my ear easily with any of the included tips. I also have older Jabra Elite (not the active), which are more comfortable but still not great for running..

Is this the Anker Soundcore? Bought one a year ago and had it replaced for 3x already due to pairing issues.

Sony XM5s are pretty good in terms of isolation but that it ear shape dependent. Sound quality wise, especially for street listening, I'd honestly buy a much cheaper Anker Soundcore or something similar.

My Anker soundcores ($50 miracles) were rock solid until December. Now they cut out all the time at the gym in the high quality mode when it gets busy. It matched the December update and when I started to see the new Apple headset marshmallows show up. Could be Apple interference or Google Standard bluetooth incompetence at this point. Very annoying.
