Shokz = Overrated ANKER V20i. $24.  Great build quality, ok sound, good fit, long battery life, safety lights and it's an Anker.

I use Soundcore V20i, and ride with them frequently. It’s rare I can’t get them loud enough to push over wind noise. I sometimes miss ANC, but the general ability to hear my surroundings is 100% more important. I tried the V40i, returned them nearly immediately because they didn’t sound any better and the case was way wackier than expected. I got some over-ear headphones for when I can use ANC. In all I think this combo fits my life way better.

I podcast while on public transit, and often while biking to the train. Even at highway speed on a public bus, I don't find the audio to be lacking. I'd bet that they could push over the chatter of too many loud folks and activities at Walmart. There is an EQ option, "volume booster," but I've never used it.

I actually ran with the Soundcore v20i open-ear earbuds for the first time today, I'm thrilled! The sound of the music is great, the awareness of the surrounding sound is great, I was afraid they would fall out of my ears, but the headphones never moved, in the end I forgot to take them off, I didn't even feel like I had them on my head/ears :)
