"I put them in my ear, put the helmet on, then do one final “push” with my finger to seat them in my ear for the ride. ... The batteries die before they work out of my ear."

"I couldn't find anything more comfortable than my regular airpods."

"Iv had this same issue with in ear buds with the tips but honestly I got the apple aid pods and they never fall out. ... Is there a way you can test with a friend or family as I've found they are the only ones that sit in right. ... Reason why as the normal air pods don't sit all the way in your ears like alot of others that sit half way in which imo is more comfortable for me and doesn't fall out at the gym"

"Regarding durability, buy the 2 year AppleCare and the just go to the Apple Store right before it expires and they’ll replace anything that fails their tests. I’ve done that with the past two editions. They’ve given me a brand new set each time. Each set typically lasts 2 years with all my sweat. Works out to be $50 a year, so not terrible."

"My AirPods have received that combination and they’re still going strong after 4 years. ... I’ve even worn them in the pool…not directly in the water but pretty close. ... Say what you want about apple but their products last"

"Had mine 4 years and they’ve been through the washing machine twice. I use them every day."

"the call quality of their Airpods are almost unmatched. ... Look at every single remote interview you see on TV... 99% of the time the person calling in is using Airpods of some kind. It always sounds pretty good too. ... I've tried calling my friends with all my earbuds and they all have said the Airpods sound better on their end. ... My other buds tend to have a slightly muffled or digital sound. ... when I know I'll be on a long call, I'll switch to them."

"If I then switch to FaceTime audio / video it becomes crystal clear."

"airpods has the ... microphone pick-up altogether."

"the battery life still lasts me entire 5 hour flights which is insane"

"I usually can get 4-5hrs ... then a 30 min charge takes them back to 100% ... it ’s rare I fly longer than 5hrs without a break"

"takes at least 3years to notice the battery degrade (assuming you use it everyday)."

"AirPods are built to last a year the then they fail. ... Every year, right after the warranty expires, one ear bud fails its almost a joke to us at this point. ... we've had 8-9 pairs of air pods fail ... One of the air pods just quit working on all the sets they've had..."

"Mine are so degraded at this point though (four years on) that they can’t even hold a charge for 5 fucking minutes. ... Disgusting"

"I killed 2 sets of AirPods with too much sweat."

OP’s got first gen and idk if they’re even pros or not cuz they go back and forth. First gen AirPods are ass. First gen pros are too. Anything after that is way better.

I upgraded from the first gen model and holy shit these things are amazing. They sound better, have dramatically better anc, and for tv watching they can’t be beat. They are not nearly as comfortable though and even downsizing the ear piece still hurts my ears. Overall I like them but will buy aftermarket ear pieces as soon as possible.

yeah it kinda depends, for me the tips work wonders as long as i clean my ears before. original airpods fit in my ears but start hurting much sooner. haven’t tried the 4 yet but i also like having the best noise canceling

My AirPods Gen 1 sound better than my power Beats Pro 1st gen but the pros have buttons, battery lasts longer and they stay in my ear and are more comfortable. so I don’t care about the audio quality. music and podcasts and calls sound fine.

r/beatsbydre • I just dropped a full review of the Powerbeats Pro 2, which I have been using since March, actually. I'm actually shocked that they sound worse than the AirPods Pro 2. What do you guys think? https://youtu.be/PinSBK8NtiI ->

I'll be honest. I agree with all your points. The case is so scratchy I gave up trying to protect mine. When my airpods pro 2 arrived, I wrap it right away in a dbrand skin. A couple months later when I wanted to use case instead of skin, I peel it and it's scratched. How it got scratched I have zero idea. Since then I treat the charging case like my phone case, it's there to protect my airpods not to get protected. Since 2017 alone, I've used OG Airpods, Airpods 2, Jabra Elite 65t, Sony WF XM3, Airpods Pro 1, Sony WF XM4, and now Airpods Pro 2. I know the pros and cons of those earbuds because I don't just try them and return them to shop. In most cases, I wear them for months until they either break or lost. And of all those earbuds, my favorite is still Airpods Pro 2. I know it doesn't have custom EQ. I know it doesn't have custom EQ and it's not the cheapest or best sounding or best looking, or the one with the longest battery life. But I preferred it because of one thing. Comfort In terms of ergonomic, Airpods Pro 2 is perfect for me. And that is what made me worry about Airpods Pro 3. I wanted to try them to see if it would be as comfortable as the Pro 2 because if they aren't then I'm gonna have to buy the late batch Pro 2 that would hopefully last me another 3 years until the Pro 4 came out. When I wear my Pro 2 with transparency mode, sometimes I simply forgot that they're there. Discussions about Pro 3 seemed to be centered around their improved ANC, or polarizing sound signature. But I honestly don't care about those. I need ANC that's just enough to drown my gym poor taste in music when I'm exercising. If I need stronger ANC for flight, I'd take my Sonos Ace. And I don't care about sound quality because I hardly listen to any music. I use my airpods to either watch something, listen to podcast, or ambient sound when I'm working, so as long as it doesn't sound like a $10 earbud, I'm good. The increased battery life got me hyped because I always want my airpods pro to last an entire work day. But the issue of comfort really got me worried. More and more reviewers are coming out to say that they are not as comfortable as the Pro 2 and that really got me worried.

In my ears, they stay in perfectly fine. Despite really liking Apple earbuds (the wired ones) for years and never having problems with them, it wasn't until a few years ago I took the plunge to buy the wireless AirPods, even if I was worried about them falling out. I haven't had a problem with them falling out in regular, normal usage.

I use them everyday for work, music, gym etc and while they’re amazing when they work, I’ve also had some bad experiences and have gone through like four pairs between the OG AirPods and the gen 1 pros. I’ve been trying to decide whether to snag these since my left pod is making a terrible noise, or wait it out for pro 3’s later this year.

My app1s are turning 4 years old in a few months and aside from the huge battery life decline the only thing that’s telling me to upgrade is the constant awful squeaking in my left ear. I saw a post here saying that app3s squeak too, so I’m on the fence right now. Don’t want to spend money only to have the same annoying sound in my ears. Have you noticed any issues like that with your app3s?
