Idk about telling me the direction but you still get decent surrounding awareness. It dampens the sound and has a “protection” mode that dampens more and a “enhancement” mode that amplifies general noises but still decreases the db of shots

Oh ok i gotcha. You get a better sense of direction with the enhanced mode but drains batteries quicker is the only downside. The other mode still gives you a decent sense but blocks out more noise

Bluetooth earbuds that protect your hearing are all disposable overtime. But try shooting earbuds xcor from axil. Works great. Right now they bogo on them

I use Axil XCor earbud. I highly recommend them.
