smaller ears too. most in ear buds either hurt or fall out way too easily for me. now I am using an open ear style called the Baseus MC1. It just clips on the outside, and doesn’t go in your ear at all. doesn’t move around even when walking or working out. It’s been way more comfortable for long use, super lightweight . and I never have to worry about it falling out. around $70 USD, might be a bit above your budget. but if you’ve struggled with fit like I did, it could be worth checking out.

I’ve been using Baseus MC1 and it’ve been great for calls. have AI noise reduction for voice, and the mic stays super clear even with background noise. People can actually hear me now. It’s open ear, just clips onto your ear and feels really light. tbh I hadn’t used a non in ear style before this, but the experience has been better than I expected. I can wear it for 5 hours straight with no pressure at all. And I can still hear what’s going on around me, which is nice for long time calling.

in ear buds give me headaches and just fall out if I move or eat. I’ve tried a few open-ear options and have stuck with the Baseus MC1. It doesn’t go into your ear at all. It just clips on the outside, super light and honestly way more stable than I expected. No pressure, nothing pushing in, and I can wear it for hours. Battery lasts about 6 to 7 hours on a charge and the case gives you more. It’s been solid for music, podcasts, and even calls. If you liked the fit of AirPods 2, this might be worth a look.

I’ve always liked over-ear headphones, but recently I found open-ear ones are surprisingly awesome too! I have an open-ear one called Baseus MC1. my ear canals are just not shaped for many in ear buds. They either start hurting after a bit or just fall out, no matter the size of the tips. The MC1 doesn’t go in my ear at all, just clips on gently. So i don’t need to worried the canal issue and it stay put well. no ear fatigue even after hours. It’s super lightweight, and honestly feels way more secure than anything I’ve used before. Also works fine with my iPhone and MacBook. Definitely a different type of design, but worth checking out if you’re tired of buds not fitting right.

If you're interested in trying clip on earbuds I have the Baseus Bowie MC1 and they've been great for me while taking calls around the house I have not had a call when on a run yet though [this video ](https://youtu.be/6ItzlAJahg0?si=rnkeddXonL51fYxz) will probably help you pick a clip on if you're interested

Shokz sound quality imo are terrible compared to the competition these days. Open ear are far better sound quality and was running with them for over a year till they broke, even then didn't go back to my shokz, now picked up ear clip designs and loving them specifically the baseus Bowie MC1s as they were cheap and these style are such an odd design, I had no idea how I would get on with them, Bose versions are meant to be the best but they're also 5 times the price. They might look odd but they are fantastic, and leave the top of the ear totally free for glasses. I'm surprised how much and how comfy and how good the sound is. I'm sure some people have tried something other than bone conducting and gone back to shokz, but it seems most have never tried anything else, just tried shokz as it's so highly recommended and stuck there and say they are great having zero comparisons. It's not to say shokz are bad, I just don't think they live upto the competition these days, as there are multiple design options now which are open ear and not bone conducting. Edit - so the 3 I have extensively ran in are Shokz openrun pro - don't get me wrong, they aren't bad, but by far the worst sound quality and loudness, also least comfy by far. 10hr battery life, so not great on that front either, considering size and comfort, sound quality and loudness. Oladance OWS Sport - in the middle for sound quality, equal to the mc1s in loudness, but massive battery life. 15hrs. However they broke, after about an hour they go really quite and have to be turned off for 5-10mins before they work again (my guess amp overheating) very disappointed in customer service which is why I didn't just get another pair, and looked at alternatives. Did manage to get a 60% refund out off them in the end. They also shockingly don't sell proprietary charging cable for it , in all regions they sell the headphones. Baseus Bowie MC1 - by far the most comfy and best sound quality and equal top loudness. Worst battery life (not an issue for marathons but for ultras) but quick charge in their small easy in pocket case. 9hrs single charge, 40hrs with case, 10min in case = 3hrs.(So with case they kind of win on battery, as no wall mount or battery pack required, with cables) So between 9hrs single charge and the 10min fast charge on my ultra I'm hopping to do in around 16hrs, pop them in the case while I resupply at aid stations and should be more than adequate. I am so happy I gave them a try, really thought they would both fall off or/and be uncomfy. They are neither. They don't budge. Would just recommend whatever you get try and get something with easy no question return policy like Amazon, in case you don't like what you get, or they don't fit your head/ears.

You could try Baseus MC1 which I used recently, mostly for audiobooks while walking or doing stuff around the house. It's perfect for long-time wearing cause It’s an open ear style that just clips on the outside of your ear, so nothing goes in and it’s super comfortable even after hours. It’s IP57 rated, so I don’t worry about sweat or a bit of rain. Battery’s solid and I never feel ear fatigue like I used to with in ear buds. I think I paid around 70 bucks, but they may have deals around PD.

I use the Baseus MC1 for work, I’m often moving between sites and taking a lot of calls outdoors, sometimes around traffic or construction noise. What’s been impressive is the mic, people hear me clearly even when I’m outside with background noise. It uses AI noise reduction and dual mics, and I’ve had no complaints on the other end. It’s an open ear style, so nothing goes in your ears. doesn’t have ANC for listening, so not ideal if you're looking for isolation, but for calls and general outdoor use, it’s been rock solid.

I use Baseus MC1 and it's honestly a solid choice for call and gym. It clips on your ears instead of going in, so it’s super comfy and doesn’t fall off while working out. Also sweat resistant, which is great for runs or gym sessions. I take calls with it all the time and people hear me clearly, even in noisy spots. Sound is better than I expected, especially for something under 70 bucks. If you want something stable and call-friendly, I’d say check it out.

I don’t like anything going directly into my ear either. I’ve been using an open ear style called the Baseus MC1 for several months and it’s been such a relief. Way more comfortable than any in-ear I’ve tried, no in-ear pressure at all. I love how lightweight it is and it’s surprisingly stable. Doesn’t fall off even when I’m moving around or jogging. Sound quality is actually better than I expected for an open design. I got it for around $60, so well under your budget. Might be worth a look if the AirPods shape worked for you but you’re open to something even less invasive.

I have small ears, just can’t do anything that goes into the ear canal. i’ve been using an open ear one called the Baseus MC1 and it’s been great. just clips on the outside of your ear and feels super light, no pressure at all. I use it mostly when I’m out walking and it stays put without bothering me. The sound is pretty balanced too. Not too bass heavy, vocals and instruments come through nice and clear. Also no ANC, which I actually prefer since it doesn’t mess with my ears or trigger any ringing. i spent around $60, so not super high end, but for comfort and everyday use it’s honestly been better than most of the big name ones I’ve tried.

I use the Baseus MC1 and it’s honestly been great for both the gym and office. Decent bass, clear mids. I haven’t used Sony myself, so I can’t compare directly.  has way better sound than any open ear buds I’ve tried before. It has AI noise reduction too, which helps a lot for calls at work. can let me stay aware of my surroundings. Also stays put really well, even when I’m sweating. Price is around $70, so way under your budget. Super comfy too. Might be worth a look.

I’ve been using Baseus MC1 after getting fed up with in ear buds digging into my ears. It’s an open-ear design that just clips onto the outside, so nothing goes in at all. Super comfy even after hours, and way more breathable. Battery runs about 6 to 7 hours on a charge, and the case adds plenty more. It’s been a solid upgrade for comfort and everyday use. No noise cancelling or crazy bass, but for all-day wear and solid battery life, it’s worked great for me. Got mine for around $60, so definitely within your budget.

I have the same issue. Using Baseus Bowie MC1 and Soundpeats Pop Clip. They get closer to my canals. Light and comfortable. They both have mechanical control buttons rather than touch. For me that's a bonus. The sound quality is what I expect from this style.

The Baseus Bowie MC1 are comfortable and have precise mechanical button controls. They clip on your ears. Less bass than regular buds. Good for daily casual listening

I have the Popclips and Baseus Bowie MC1. Both are very good but with decent mid bass but littke deep bass. Very listenable. Both have good mechanical control button. Both have decent apps to update firmware and adjust sound eq. Monster has no app.

Soundpeats Pop Clip and Baseus Bowie MC1 are similar in sound, fit, price and both have mechanical buttons instead of touch. I have and like both for podcasts, audiobooks, calls and casual music. Not sure which I prefer. Maybe the Soundpeats are a bit louder. Either are worth a try. Soundpeats PearlClip Pro are good too. Thicker and heavier. Better for music. Touch controls that aren't as precise. Look for deals. I haven't tried the new Soundcores because they're over $100. This type will never be that good for music so I stay cheap.

Even when I’m walking near traffic or in noisy spots, people can still hear me clearly. It’s been a solid choice if you need something lightweight that actually works for calls.

I’m using the Baseus MC1 right now. they’re super lightweight. I usually wear them around the house when I’m doing chores or listening to podcasts and music. I can have them on for hours and they never feel uncomfortable. The sound honestly surprised me. You won’t get that deep in ear bass, but the low end is definitely there and overall it sounds well-balanced. Vocals and instruments come through clearly. I got them for around $60, so a bit over your budget, but for the comfort and build quality I think they’re totally worth it. A lot of cheaper open ear buds tend to be unstable and fall off easily. If you plan to wear them for long stretches, it’s probably better to invest in something that stays in place and feels good. These have become my go to when I want background music without completely tuning out the world.

Omg I feel this so much 😭 I also have tiny ears and used to hate earbuds. they'd start hurting so fast, even the smallest tips didn’t help. I found the Baseus MC1 recently and it’s been such a nice surprise. They don’t go in your ears at all. they just kind of clip on gently and sit there. Super lightweight, no pressure, and they don’t fall off when I run. What I love most is that I can still hear everything around me, cars, people, bikers. so I feel way safer running outside. Way better than being totally blocked off. Also sweatproof, and way more comfy than anything I’ve tried. it was under $70 when I got it! Might be worth a look if you’re tired of the pain.

I really like the fact that with this style you can hear also what's going on around you. Fit my lifestyle so much better without a hassle! Plus I've had Baseus earbuds before and I wasn't disappointed with quality at all, just finally admitted the pods I was trying just didn't fit my ears, lol

Got em on sale. The design is neat and the physical button is a godsend. However, they *are* cheap and the sound quality leaves much to be desired. Compared to the Bose QuietComfort II, though, they have no connection issues so far which is a big plus. The Baseus is not very loud, which is pretty detrimental considering its design. For any place with decent background noise, I would vastly prefer something in-ear. While they are pretty comfortable, shifts in position will lead to a drastic decrease in performance as the speaker no long aligns with your ear canal, so when I adjust them, I have to fiddle with them for a bit until the sound is passable again.

If you feel disconnected with in-ears, open-ear earbuds like the Baseus pair make daily use way more natural since they let ambient sound in without killing music quality, and $39.49 is a fair price because Baseus models usually have decent battery life, comfortable fit, and clear enough audio for casual listening.
