I use the Baseus Bowie mc1 and like them a lot
Shokz sound quality imo are terrible compared to the competition these days. Open ear are far better sound quality and was running with them for over a year till they broke, even then didn't go back to my shokz, now picked up ear clip designs and loving them specifically the baseus Bowie MC1s as they were cheap and these style are such an odd design, I had no idea how I would get on with them, Bose versions are meant to be the best but they're also 5 times the price. They might look odd but they are fantastic, and leave the top of the ear totally free for glasses. I'm surprised how much and how comfy and how good the sound is. I'm sure some people have tried something other than bone conducting and gone back to shokz, but it seems most have never tried anything else, just tried shokz as it's so highly recommended and stuck there and say they are great having zero comparisons. It's not to say shokz are bad, I just don't think they live upto the competition these days, as there are multiple design options now which are open ear and not bone conducting. Edit - so the 3 I have extensively ran in are Shokz openrun pro - don't get me wrong, they aren't bad, but by far the worst sound quality and loudness, also least comfy by far. 10hr battery life, so not great on that front either, considering size and comfort, sound quality and loudness. Oladance OWS Sport - in the middle for sound quality, equal to the mc1s in loudness, but massive battery life. 15hrs. However they broke, after about an hour they go really quite and have to be turned off for 5-10mins before they work again (my guess amp overheating) very disappointed in customer service which is why I didn't just get another pair, and looked at alternatives. Did manage to get a 60% refund out off them in the end. They also shockingly don't sell proprietary charging cable for it , in all regions they sell the headphones. Baseus Bowie MC1 - by far the most comfy and best sound quality and equal top loudness. Worst battery life (not an issue for marathons but for ultras) but quick charge in their small easy in pocket case. 9hrs single charge, 40hrs with case, 10min in case = 3hrs.(So with case they kind of win on battery, as no wall mount or battery pack required, with cables) So between 9hrs single charge and the 10min fast charge on my ultra I'm hopping to do in around 16hrs, pop them in the case while I resupply at aid stations and should be more than adequate. I am so happy I gave them a try, really thought they would both fall off or/and be uncomfy. They are neither. They don't budge. Would just recommend whatever you get try and get something with easy no question return policy like Amazon, in case you don't like what you get, or they don't fit your head/ears.
I have the same issue. Using Baseus Bowie MC1 and Soundpeats Pop Clip. They get closer to my canals. Light and comfortable. They both have mechanical control buttons rather than touch. For me that's a bonus. The sound quality is what I expect from this style.
The Baseus Bowie MC1 are comfortable and have precise mechanical button controls. They clip on your ears. Less bass than regular buds. Good for daily casual listening
I have the Popclips and Baseus Bowie MC1. Both are very good but with decent mid bass but littke deep bass. Very listenable. Both have good mechanical control button. Both have decent apps to update firmware and adjust sound eq. Monster has no app.
There have been 1 or 2 calls where background noise was a bit annoying to the other person but that was in town whilst it was busy overall it's been better than a majority of earbuds I've owned and definitely better than the other clip on earbuds I've tried second place probably being the mc1 though I had to fully switch to my phone a few times
If you're interested in trying clip on earbuds I have the Baseus Bowie MC1 and they've been great for me while taking calls around the house I have not had a call when on a run yet though [this video ](https://youtu.be/6ItzlAJahg0?si=rnkeddXonL51fYxz) will probably help you pick a clip on if you're interested
Az 100s would probably be the best for you though for riding I use the Bowie MC1s
good day! could you please tell more about comparison of c40i and mc1? I have mc1, they’re quite good for me, but I feel like c40i could be better but I’m not sure
smaller ears too. most in ear buds either hurt or fall out way too easily for me. now I am using an open ear style called the Baseus MC1. It just clips on the outside, and doesn’t go in your ear at all. doesn’t move around even when walking or working out. It’s been way more comfortable for long use, super lightweight . and I never have to worry about it falling out. around $70 USD, might be a bit above your budget. but if you’ve struggled with fit like I did, it could be worth checking out.
I’ve been using Baseus MC1 and it’ve been great for calls. have AI noise reduction for voice, and the mic stays super clear even with background noise. People can actually hear me now. It’s open ear, just clips onto your ear and feels really light. tbh I hadn’t used a non in ear style before this, but the experience has been better than I expected. I can wear it for 5 hours straight with no pressure at all. And I can still hear what’s going on around me, which is nice for long time calling.
in ear buds give me headaches and just fall out if I move or eat. I’ve tried a few open-ear options and have stuck with the Baseus MC1. It doesn’t go into your ear at all. It just clips on the outside, super light and honestly way more stable than I expected. No pressure, nothing pushing in, and I can wear it for hours. Battery lasts about 6 to 7 hours on a charge and the case gives you more. It’s been solid for music, podcasts, and even calls. If you liked the fit of AirPods 2, this might be worth a look.
I’ve always liked over-ear headphones, but recently I found open-ear ones are surprisingly awesome too! I have an open-ear one called Baseus MC1. my ear canals are just not shaped for many in ear buds. They either start hurting after a bit or just fall out, no matter the size of the tips. The MC1 doesn’t go in my ear at all, just clips on gently. So i don’t need to worried the canal issue and it stay put well. no ear fatigue even after hours. It’s super lightweight, and honestly feels way more secure than anything I’ve used before. Also works fine with my iPhone and MacBook. Definitely a different type of design, but worth checking out if you’re tired of buds not fitting right.
I had the same problem at the gym with other buds randomly pausing, especially when I was sweating. So I ditched anything touch-based and picked up the Baseus MC1. No touch, no heat sensor nonsense. It uses physical buttons tucked behind your ear and hasn’t messed up once. Also stays put even when I’m sweaty and moving around. Might be worth checking out if you’re done fighting with your earbuds.
Im currently using the Baseus MC1. Actually crazy comfortable during the day and not bad for night. Best so far
