Yeah I get ya. I feel nervous every time I run with them. and they do fall out occasionally. But they are also the best fitting earbuds I have used thus far and they seem to fall out way less than my other ear phones which give me some comfort. My biggest fear is I run near a long drop ocean rock platform and in the bush. They could disappear very easily! But I am a bit paranoid and careful. The sound & noise cancelling quality wise is so much better than my older headphones, I find it hard to go back to my cheaper headphones despite my brain screaming that you are going to lose them !!! :> The set I got before the Bose was **Baseus MA10 Pro** (you can get them cheap on Aliexpress). They are okay. Better than the cheaper Taotronics and QCY ear buds I have had in the past but just not as good as the Ultra. I likely would be still using them if I didn't get a good price on the Ultras (A$300) not long after release which saved me about A$200 off rrp. Have a look around for some second hand **Bose QC 35ii over ears**. They are like A$150 (maybe $US80) local to me here in AU. Obviously harder to lose and give you likely 2 days work use or even longer if you turn them off when not in use. They are my daily drivers for work stuff, video calls and listening to vids/music in private. There are also some older QuietComfort earbuds but I have always found they are priced similar to the Ultras for some crazy reason. You might find some Gen 1 Bose Ultra Earbuds cheap second hand as some people seem to not like them. The various **Sony XM4 and XM5** headphones and earbuds are pretty good and seem to be more common than Bose in the second hand market. I would rate them similar to the Bose quality wise and really only differentiate by personal preference.

I bought the Baseus Bowie MA10 Pro to use on my longer runs. Wanted something cheap that had decent battery life and audio quality. Pleasantly surprised at the fit (stayed in my ears even for longer runs) and the audio quality. ANC is good (cant compare to Apple’s airpods, but good enough) although Transparency mode could have been better. Pretty good pair for about USD38 when i bought them

Does the low latency options remain ON when you put back the earbuds in the case ? I had the Baseus MA10, and every time they turn off, the low latency mode went off

Bollocks, just contacted the support team and they said the option will turn off

Baseus ma10 is pretty decent if you EQ it correctly on wavelet or the redmi buds 5/6–have great soundstage so you can also consider those too aside from the aforementioned earbuds here.
